Agree. It’s very intense! She basically runs a marathon and then the next day some intense hyrox session. Surely that’s a bit much for even the fittest and strongest of athletes. On the plus side - at least it looks like she eats enough to fuel this which does make a change.

I wonder if she went out with the idea of speeding up for a negative split as she seemed to go out slower than you would for sub 2:54

What do we reckon she will do? I’m guessing Somewhere between 3:15-3:25. Hard to tell as she never actually raced that distance or a half or anything

Her easy pace is pretty much the same as her MP, and tempo / threshold isn’t much quicker either so I’m pretty confused and it’s anyone’s guess!
Hard to tell, although I reckon your range is probably right! Agreed that all her paces are the same — I think she posted a run with easy and MP segments and there was only about 20 seconds per KM difference? Yet another running “coach” who doesn’t know how to pace

Agree with deloading but similar to @lou96x i do crossfit, hyrox, run, train, strength train I think everyday? Take a rest day if I feel I need it, but it's the competiting/racing that cause me wee niggles, I don't look like I do though because I eat like a king and sleep a lot! Will say if my nutrition is off or bad sleep my training will be crap that day!

I'm glad I found this thread I like her but Ben has some very wayward opinions about women hardly surprising as he's ex police, also I don't think they realise how much their life will change with kids...

it’s not unusual to take rings off for lifting etc. I had to repair mine / lost diamonds out my wedding bands because of this so I take mine off when lifting now.
Having said that - there is def something up

Had to look up the myprotein gels at that, they look pretty standard so will probably be fine if she's been practicing with them...they do a pre-workout one as well though which I expect would definitely make you shit your pants :ROFLMAO:

why does she constantly go on about how much muscle she has i actually cringe when she says things like ‘as a runner who carries more muscle’ or ‘because of all the muscle i have’ 😑 i think she believes she has the same muscle mass as say tia claire toomey but to me she just looks lean rather than massive…

yes and I don’t think she’s trained at fast enough paces to run sub 3 yet. She’s need to run about 14 secs per mile faster to get a sub 3 from where she is now. And that is not easy over 26 miles!!
I’m a woman and much less go under 3 hours than men, it’s quite a big difference. I’ve placed around 60th female at London before, and in the same race when my male friends ran 5 mins quicker than me, they were like 1500th male or something.

Not sure going for a long run when you were sick was a good idea / good example. Also she could have left it for at least a day (ie her job doesn’t dictate long runs at weekends like the majority). So she’s got her first marathon in two weeks… looks like she’s aiming for 7 min miling or thereabouts. Will be v interested to see how she does!

I feel like Ben’s post are digging at Lucy and he’s coming across as quite salty. It seems like she is trying to qualify for the world champs or elite 15 in Hyrox and a few days later Ben does a big post about the best thing about hyrox being about the community not the flags 👀 a bit ironic as he seems to be constantly kissing that Hunter McIntyre’s arse

Watching her video about the marathon...how was the elevation profile of the race a shock? Who doesn't check that? She also said she thinks she could go sub 3 after she's had kids...sure...that's the time to be throwing in the amount of time into training that would require. She did at least say she might get a coach for her next marathon attempt (presumably not for Lanzarote) hopefully an actual running specialist coach. She has at least checked the elevation for the next one :ROFLMAO:
