I think that so many of the money 'gramers seem to have completely missed the boat during the pandemic (eg Emma Drew). Instead of really helping their followers (and gaining more followers!) by actually sharing frugal advice, they've instead used it as a platform to gloat about their savings or purchases.

I agree, people don’t need to know about your savings total. I’m sorry but they don’t. Yes you can talk about saving X % per month but there is no need to tell people so much information. I pretty much know where she lives and how much money she has in her bank

), buys tit quality items most of the time which she then has to replace and then ruins her holidays by refusing to spend money on them and Emma is just filling her house with cheap tat and eating herself into a grave.Frugal for me, is getting bargains on the things you love, for example I always wanted a dark green sofa, I saw the sofa I wanted and it was 3.5k, I ended up getting it for 2k because I asked for a discount. I wait for the items I love to go into sales, I use vouchers for meals out etc. I live the life I want, but cheaper. Yeah of course I could save more if I didn’t have expensive taste, but I’d rather save for the item I’ll love for years to come and I’ll only live once
Why is she bragging about the £5 Iceland deal? Yes, post it to signpost other people to it, but don’t buy it! You don’t need pizza, wedges, chicken dippers and Cornettos for a fiver - you’re supposed to be eating healthily. Why does she do this to herself?

It really doesn't sit well with me that she's getting therapy/weight loss support at no cost to her through the NHS/council, but she loads up on cheap and unhealthy food. That £5 Iceland deal would be a godsend for many who actually face food poverty - for Lisa who wants to lose weight and has £20k in the bank it's just greedy.

I can't stand her. I'm pretty sure she has an account on here as i've found a member with some striking similarities but i'm scared to call them out....I’ve come on here looking for a thread on this woman as literally just had to unfollow her. She just sounds manic to me, feels she has to ‘mansplain’ everything to us plebs, and always sounds like she’s just trying to convince herself. Go enjoy yer 28 days hun.

To be honest I don't think I will miss her in the 28 days off. She has always been one of those accounts that were okay but not life changing.
I have to agree with her here. It is bloody stupid decluttering 1000 things just to fill it up to the brim even more. I guess Emma is the only one who publicly does this right now. But I thought they were besties with Emma gifting her "large" clothes.

Does anyone remember when she was looking to buy a property in blackpool? Me and my friend were just laughing at it. You can tell she hasn’t done any research.
I am from Blackpool, I grew up there, moved away when I was 17. And let me tell you, it was right next to the red light district, in quite possibly the roughest part of blackpool. I actually cried with laughter when I saw it. She thinks she’s thrifty buying a cheap property, it’s cheap for a reason. There’s so many break ins, drugs etc round there. Good luck with that little project, your air b&b start up won’t work on that property.
