I agree to an extent, though I went on a work reeducation course a couple of years ago and basically it isn’t good enough to be ‘not racist’ you have to be ‘anti racist’ and the general gist was no matter how hard your life is it would be worse if you were a POC. Bearing in mind this was a whole UK course and I don’t recall them doing a course in how their colleagues in NI from whatever background might feel or possibly have the generational trauma etc. doesn’t matter if you had the helicopters up every night and had your house raided or seen your friends being blown up or watched your da check under the car for bombs every morning before leaving for work or had family members murdered or missing or witnessed your parents trauma or the suspicion of people who look like you but maybe aren’t you. None of that matters apparently. We have privilege.
This is only goading and giving them an excuse to fire back in the worst way possible

I thought he came out after receiving a call from someone that there was a fire and it was already being dealt with?
Obviously they shouldn’t have burned out his shop but my point from last week stands that insurance should cover these costs so why set up a GFM. I’m just really suspicious of any GFM due to the Jack monroe situation so I wouldn’t ever donate to one.
There’s plenty of Turkish/Muslim and also catholic businesses where I live and I would have thought there would have been some sort of issues but there hasn’t been. Which is fantastic as everyone in my area goes about their business. I do have my suspicions about which particular paramilitary allowed this to happen and why there isn’t trouble round me. Not excusing it at all but given that a certain someone has been quite vocal in criticising it I am guessing it isn’t from their particular group if you get my drift.

I actually worry for those Taylor fans in London next week. They cancelled the Austria shows but are going ahead with London at the minute but I feel like it could be a massive target.

whether those accusations are true or not the police should deal with it he’s got young children at home I think we can all guess why it’s on that page

Just watched a video from last night and saw a bunch of youths throwing petrol bombs. One of them was tiny- looked about 10 years old.
Yeah they send in the kiddies as they know the peelers won’t fire batons at them.
I just feel sorry for the wee kids. In the clip it looks like one of the older kids hands the wee boy the petrol bomb. They don’t realise they could seriously injure themselves. I think on both sides in deprived areas it probably feels like a rite of passage to be able to say you were involved but surely as a society we can do better. I’ll look forward to lillian’s condemnation as she was quick to call out loyalists and call southern nationalists terrorists…..
Those will probably be the offspring of dissidents so the police will be the enemy for harassing daddy on the daily , that’s not how all kids behave whether they’re deprived or not, you’ll notice there were no community intervention so I’m guessing the above is true.
