For me it has to be about fairness. She was a junior councillor from my understanding and the sdlp aren’t known for being racist so it seems like for two longstanding party members to resign there has to be something to it. Everything is all about her in every event she does. If Michelle or ELP carried on the way she does they would get butchered. They actually seem to be working well together and seem to be trying to build bridges. Lilian just called people terrorists recently, I’m not a fan of SF or DUP but actually have a sliver of hope that MICH/ELP seem to be trying to make a bleeping difference.

She’s not interested in our politics that’s why her appointment is even more bizarre, we’re not multicultural enough for her to make a difference so things have to be forced ,all that achieves is people backing away .

This is true. Every politician in this country gets tit from the other side. Carla is an mole but she has received far more abuse than lil based on looks. Mich and ELP have received plenty of abuse too. And Naomi and the women’s coalition and Arlene and many others. Being a woman in politics is tit but the ones I have mentioned have at least cut their cloth,

Yeah, I don’t agree with women getting grief but here it happens. She probably has random twitter trolls saying racist things but the majority of people are just saying ‘catch yerself on’ at the audacity. She actually believes she is a superstar. There are so many women who lived through the troubles who have tried to make things better who have been sidelined.

I agree with some of what she is saying about women being treated like tit in politics but people are questioning her credentials because it is correct to do so. She shouldn’t be facing racist abuse but that doesn’t mean she shouldn’t get any criticism.
I’ll use Carla as an example. She isn’t conveniently attractive, and she has received horrific comments about this about her looks- why is this not as bad as racism? People could attack her all day about her politics but choose to attack her looks.
And regarding the wardrobe comments we regularly comment on Michelle and Emma’s clothes, because we like to talk about what people wear. I actually think Lilian looks well turned out and has found a striking style to make her stand out. She’s probably the best dressed female politician we have to be really shallow.

I really like that white dress she wears. She should merch it

But honestly she needs to start being seen in the local community. Go to the big side or even visit the apprentice boys in a cross community attempt.

Probably call them far right.

I don’t normally read many of their articles but they are the only source who covered the Barbie kardashian thing so probably more trustworthy than some, I think the answer is to read media from different sources that don’t always match your viewpoints
