But how can you have unexplained infertility and then have a baby?
I’ve just had a Google, apparently 92% of couples with ‘unexplained infertility’ went on to have a baby. I’d take a guess at it not really being infertility in her case but just that it took longer than she expected. I don’t think it’s really common enough knowledge that anything up to a year is considered perfectly normal, even if you do everything ‘right’.

What are the chances of Jade beb understanding what an IVF specialist was trying to explain to her?.....she probably spent time sat in a cabbage patch in rural Wales, thinking the stork was going to bring it...instead of actually shagging her long suffering husband a few times a week 🥲

Unexplained infertility is when the routine tests done all come back as fine, so they determine that no problem can be found - therefore you ‘should’ be able to get pregnant without any intervention. That’s where the unexplained part come from, and they seem it as infertility as you have been trying to conceive for longer than a specified time (usually 12 months).

lIt’s actually alot harder to get pregnant than we are told during sex ed at 15 years old. There’s a HUGE number of things that have to align to fertilise, then implant an egg, nevermind for it to be a viable pregnancy. However, I suspect Jade just wasn’t have sex that often or at all some months. They obviously don’t ask the ins and outs of how often and at what point of your cycle you do the deed, plus it’s easy to lie also.

It surprises me that they then choose to call it ‘infertility’, when (as you say yourself!) she probably wasn’t giving it much go! She didn’t have IVF did she?

No she didn’t. I think she’s implied they were on the pathway towards ivf but got pregnant naturally beforehand.

The Drs simply ask if you’re having regular unprotected intercourse - people can and I’m sure do, lie!

i once read an article about a couple in India (I think it was ) whowere virgins until they married. They saw a Dr after a year as they were yet to fall pregnant. After some questioning it was established that they had not been well informed about intercourse before marriage and were using the wrong hole 🙈. Once the Dr pointed then in the right direction they were pregnant pretty quickly afterwards!

I was diagnosed with unexplained fertility after 3 years and I have two children conceived in the usual way 😊 although our doctors went through chapter and verse of our sex life, explained it was important to have sex outside the fertile window as well. I suspect, based on what jade has shared, they were only having sex in her fertile window. Your fertile window can change month to month and you really have to be watching your body closely for signs of ovulation.
Thank you for attending my biology Ted talk 🤣

I understand how it all works I have 1 child and I’m pregnant with number 2 and I took 7 years to get pregnant with my first but my second I got pregnant straight away so I know our bodies do wonderful things, I realised I ovulated a lot later than the ‘Norm’ which is not something they make obvious to women who want to be mums. I just don’t understand how a doctor would diagnose her basically infertile for her to go on an have a non medical pregnancy i.e not ivf or any of the other kind.. I just think she likes to dramatise it and make it out as if she was hard done by

I'd put money on her not even being aware of *how* to conceive. The concept of fertile windows and ovulation are probably alien concepts to her.

Judging by how little she knows about parenting, I am guessing she knows just as much about conceiving.

Being diagnosed as unexplained infertility isn’t being diagnosed as infertile. It is being diagnosed as ‘struggling to get pregnant but all tests completed have returned with no problem found’

I had a friend who tried for 7 years to conceive, had all the tests and theirs was unexplained. 2 failed rounds of IVF later, about to start a 3rd round and she fell pregnant naturally. So bizarre but it can happen.

Anywayyysssss… it makes me really uncomfortable seeing her Nan on her stories. Todays wasn’t so bad as it just looked like it was signing Xmas cards but I dunno like people have said before, it just seems exploitative sometimes especially as she isn’t well.

She was telling her how to spell Christmas and also signing them from Mam and Dad.

Not sure if that’s the normal thing to do, sign a card from someone who has passed away. I think it would be more upsetting to read for me. My grandparents never did after one sadly passed but maybe it’s a common thing.

my utterly bonkers mother in law signed our wedding card from mam and dad…. My husband was 6 when his dad died.
She’s unhinged…

The whole thing I just find bizarre, you have to prop your phone up, press record and then your always going to ‘act’ because you know the camera is on. It really grates on me when people do it because it’s just so fake. Fair enough if you want to do that for memories for yourself but it just doesn’t need to be on instagram

Totally agree. Why would it even go through her mind to set that up to record? So sad how she exploits her nan when it’s clear she can’t really consent to it being shown to all her followers plus those who don’t follow but catch up every now and again with her stories 🙋🏼‍♀️
