My sisters friend works at Birmingham airport and apparently his dad has flown out today to bring his body back. Got escorted through the airport. He is absolutely distraught understandably.

Hopefully he can be flown home as quickly as possible. I’m sure there’s no need but a positive identification probably needs to be done still for procedural reasons. The PM results have already been released I see . I doubt the family would’ve wanted that. He died after falling from a balcony and that is all we needed to know.

I’m guessing the family will opt to cremate him so that no crazy fans can damage a grave. If he’s buried the grave would be found very quickly.

I keep thinking about his parents. Does anyone remember in the 1D movie his mam had a cardboard cut out of him that she would hug when he was away for long periods of time on tour.

Honestly I don’t know what these people expect. In times when I’ve lost loved ones I could barely put one foot in front of the other or even feed myself properly never mind come up with a heartfelt tribute don’t they have any empathy?

I saw a video earlier of Liam & Bear walking in a park maybe? It was from behind but Bear looked quite tall, I would guess around a 6/7yr olds height, so I'm assuming its recent enough?
I have no idea though, just guessing!

My thoughts are with the poor young boy having to be told that Dad chose drugs/alcohol over being a parent to him.

I’m very far behind in this thread but a lot of people on here clearly do not understand addiction issues. As someone who has dealt with them personally, you cannot just switch it off. No matter what. Go and do some learning.

I'm hoping it's a private cremation behind closed doors. I know the fans will want to line the route and throw roses at the hearse and show their love for him, but it will turn into a media circus, with drones and helicopters, everyone trying to get a photo of Cheryl, Bear, any of 1D, Liam's parents and sisters...it will be hell.

He probably does have a Will. If he doesn't the intestacy rules apply and it all goes to Bear on him turning 18.

I would assume given his wealth he would have a will, probably even a trust, in which I assume a percentage will go to his family, and a percentage will go to Bear at a discretionary age (if he has trustees, likely Cheryl)

Thanks for the quick replies guys! You guys are right that he’d likely have a will, given his wealth and asset. He’d be foolish not to have a will, even a preliminary one. I just hope that the will isn’t contested. Lord knows, his family doesn’t need trouble and drama.

I keep forgetting just how rich the 1D men are.

As someone who had a bipolar partner it screams bipolar to me with how he acts, periods where he seems to be getting his life together and then it all falling apart again and him acting erratic. Not uncommon for them to go to drugs and alcohol while in a hypo/manic and he seems like he’s not been in a good way for a while

Sorry if this has been said, I’m catching up. He is disgnosed ADHD and that is why I also suffered with addiction issues. It’s incredibly common when you have adhd unfortunately, mainly if unmedicated, but the thoughts will always be there at the back of your head to self medicate.
