The 1D boys will release a statement. It’s very common for those where groups are involved in whatever way to group together & release a joint statement initially & not immediately. Look at the Friends cast when Matthew Perry died. They did a group announcement & then individual tributes when they felt able.

I always thought it was odd Harry surrounded himself with people 10+ years older than him (& frequently much older) during the latter 1D years but in hindsight, I think smart move. He had genuine adults looking after him, adults who could keep him grounded & navigate the industry with him. I honestly think that’s moulded him into the stable human being he appears to be today. He’s shied right away from an online presence & I think that’s by far the healthiest thing to do when you are that famous.

It's funny how it's only the failed X factor people who are witching about the show. 1D got to see the world and make millions because of X factor. The 5 of them wouldnt have got that if they'd never entered the show.
I get that but by all accounts, they were all treated equally awful. Jedward said they got the 1D contracts by mistake and they were shocking. They were all very much exploited.

My TikTok algorithm is all Liam stuff today though it isn’t usually. I’ve had his girlfriend’s account come up a few times - I didn’t know much about her but 🤢 did she actually do anything useful with her life or just live on Liam’s money? She seems so vapid and fake.

I hate the whole spin of bullied to death crap. By all accounts, he was off his face and jumped the balcony, not in his right mind, probably thought he’d survive. It wasn’t suicide. Just because he’s famous doesn’t mean he’s above reproach and shouldn’t be held accountable for his actions. There’s far too much smoke without fire, not just his ex girlfriend. A young man is dead, which is a tragedy but this framing it as something else does no favors.
this is by far the most sensible post I’ve read all day. Thank you.

Limmy builds walls around himself, eg says he's a socialist, an ally of LGBT, man of the people to bully people that aren't like him, eg people who aren't necassarily left wing, posh people, working class white people. If you aren't in one of his labels he will bully you. eg liam payne, richard e grant

man of the people but not all people is equal.
Many such cases.

They may have got to see the world and experience things us normal folk would never get the chance to, but that doesn't stop them being exploited in the process and having their mental health run ragged.

Let's not even get started on the dynamic between Liam and Cheryl and the abuse of power that was there.

I guess with Liam and Cheryl, weird and potentially inappropriate as it was, there was probably mutual experience that played a big role - both thrust into the spotlight in exactly the same way, they
likely understood things about each other's lives that would be hard to understand from an outside perspective.

I know this sounds a bit ridiculous, but i feel like this news has hit me hard even though I've never been a 1D fan. I think it's because my own son who is only 9 and has AuDHD is already showing signs that I think he will struggle with his mental health. i find this like this just make me so worried for what the future holds.
I completely understand. Not to merail but my sons father attempted suicide last year, and the night we were waiting to see if he would pull through was the worst night of my life. The thought of telling my son that his dad had died was the absolute worst feeling in the world. I really can not stop thinking of Cheryl and how she is dealing with this. Ive been separated from my sons dad for 10+ years but it still was bleeping horrible. My son is 14 and is now undergoing therapy for his poor mental health and dark thoughts. Life is bleeping hard 😔 lots of love to everyone.

It was the same with the whole Be Kind campaign. Of course we should all be kind and online bullying is atrocious but it didn’t sit right using Caroline Flack as their example. She was a domestic abuser who again should have been held accountable, not excused because she was famous.

I just came here to see what the general feeling was re his ex and the allegations/legal proceedings. Feel very sorry for her that this has happened just as she’s chosen to/been able to speak out about her experience.
Also his current girlfriend who is now getting a lot of negativity “how could you leave him? Why didn’t you check on him?”
I don’t know anything about her other than she seems typical influencer/model out to sell and make her money through whatever means but I dread to think the backlash she’s going to get over the next few days/weeks having left the holiday.

Another problem is people have valid concerns about something and the idiots use it to shut down discussion. And sometimes people shouldn't be kind to some people.

He has talked about having manic phases and down phases on tiktok\snap before. I wonder if this was a manic phase +drugs. You can be incredibly impulsive in the manic phase.

Regardless, there was an abuse of power from her on him. Were this the other way around and it was an older man on a younger woman, there would have been a bigger outcry. In essence, it's not too dissimilar to Schofield and the lad.

This may be an unpopular point of view but I find it nauseating people saying ‘poor Cheryl’. Yes it is not going to be easy breaking that news to their son BUT they split a long time ago not last week. She moved her mum into HIS house and forced him out. She’s got what she wanted. A child without the need to now co-parent. I have no doubt she tried to support but in my opinion, she’s not blameless and does not deserve pity. Save that for his friends, family and son

And so many celebs use it as an excuse to be irresponsible and foul. When someone pulls them up on it they’re all “Be Kind”

Phillip Schofield tried it. It diminishes the meaning behind it.

She did the same in her first marriage, moved her Mam in. Such an odd set up. I’ve no time for her, racist ar**hole.

Yeah he went from being adored and performing to sold out arenas all over the world to being a bit of a joke figure all while watching his band mates do better than him, Harry winning Grammys etc. I think I remember him saying he was very close to Louis, I wonder if that was still the case.
To have an empty looking future, all the money, recognised everywhere you go, yet you’re floating around like a bag in the wind.
I can see why drink and drugs look attractive, something to feel.

I’d be interested to see if there’s anything in the contracts of the ones that signed to syco about it.

it’s also quite bad form to bite the hand that feeds you, very few people will have sympathy for someone sitting on their millions

Have we heard anything from Simon Cowell yet. I'm surprised he wasn't one of the first to speak.
