His ‘demons’ were his to own and deal with. He had access to so many resources that millions don’t have, as others have said. He chose not to do utilise that. It’s really, really sad - especially for his loved ones.

The other side of that seems to be that he was abusive to his partner and for that there is no excuse. I hope she never blames herself, and I hope she has peace from this now.

This footage outside his hotel with fans is very sad, especially the first one with the guy telling Liam he helped save his life.
These parasocial relationships are so unhealthy IMO and shouldn’t be applauded.
can you imagine the pressure of a complete stranger coming up to you, and filming you whilst another tells you that they’re only alive because of you? Imagine if that happened to you?

chapell roan was being torn apart recently for making that point but i completely agree with both her and you. aside from the parasocial-ness of it all, the fan is basically trauma dumping on a complete stranger who may not be in any mental capacity to hear that. there’s a similar video with daniel radcliffe at the stage door going through a similar interaction and i don’t know how you (as the celeb) deal with that kind of thing on a day to day basis for years. the absolute emotional weight of it.

I believe it was suicide and he definitely jumped, he had bad mental health issues and problems with drink and drugs, so sad
I don't think it was suicide, an intentional act to end his life. I think he was so out of it on drugs he didn't really realise the consequences of what he was choosing to do by getting onto the balcony.

As sad as it is i'm honestly not shocked by it. He's been in and out of rehab, and seems to have spiralled a lot in the past few years. He was definitely on something in that pic with Niall. Sad for his son.

From Mayas book he has form for going bat tit on it and threatening to throw himself off a balcony. After this incident he chased Maya with an axe and his team sent him to rehab.
I believe everything she says and he chose to do crack again knowing what it does to him. Selfish man leaving his son without a dad.
He was rubbing it on his gums while having a meal with Mayas family
I’m not sure it’s entirely fair (or right) to say he chose to do crack again. Drug addiction is such a serious complicated issue. It ducks with your ability to make rational decisions - it is an illness, one that ultimately kills most people. Addicts don’t choose that life.

I can’t stop thinking about her I really hope she’s okay because she’s gonna get more hate than ever before. In no way is this her fault
Im sure I read as rumoured she issued legal papers so clearly the guy has issues and drugs and alcohol likely masked them. It is no way her fault it just demonstrates there's issues with him. All that money and fame surrounds you with a team of enablers too who do anything for you. Very sad 😔 RIP Liam 🙏

Don't know much about him but just hearing he was anxious that his ex was proceeding with 'legal issues'.
I was just reading recent posts on this thread yesterday before his death and it seems that is not surprising news but ofc it's very sad.

I agree it's so sad and his behaviour has been so unsettling and alarming for a while now.
It seems alot of people will feel they let him down or have some sort of 'blame' put on them. But unless an addict is willimg to help themselves, there is nothing anyone can do. His mental health issues and drug abuse was a lethal combination and has ended the same way as many other people. It's a tale as old as time unfortunately.
I really think there should be more safeguarding for younger stars. We have seen it all before haven't we? Those who are spend their youth in the limelight pay the price. Things could have been so different for Liam had he not been in the limelight. Was any of it worth it? I bet if he was here now he would say only Bear was worth it.
I'm beyond upset for Cheryl and Bear- 7 and without a daddy, no one wants to have that conversation with their child. I just can't stop thinking about Bear and sending love his way.
There are plenty of addicts that are willing to help themselves but no body gives a duck or they don’t understand how to..Same with mental health.. Most people are left to skink or swim.. it’s not one fit for all.. I find it’s usually the ones who mouth off , you have to help yourself are the ones who when have face a challenge cannot face it .. they then have the support systems in place and are not left alone to rot

Re Maya. Her claims don’t lose merit just because he has sadly died. To be blunt, the talk surrounding his death only adds to her narrative that he was unstable. I haven’t followed it much but at the end of the day, her experience is her experience and she should be free to discuss it regardless. We have a polite habit in society of positively eulogising the dead which is respectful but at the end of the day everyone has their faults. Liam wasn’t perfect as much as his fans wanted to believe he was, he wasn’t. Nobody is. It can’t have been easy for Maya to make the decision to share her story, some of these fandoms are so unhealthily invested in their idols so to speak out must have taken courage and she shouldn’t be slated for doing so because of his death.

I guess we’ll see what the truth is as the weeks go on. She said he sent her harassing text messages didn’t she from multiple phones so I assume she’ll have evidence of this to back up her side of the story. Whether she chooses to continue to share her story after his death is up to her but she should be allowed to without any judgement and blame.

I guess it’s up to her whether she continues to tell her story after his death,

I’m a huge Cheryl/Girls Aloud fan & it must be absolutely gut wrenchingly difficult for her to deal with this and for the son they shared together. Whether it was suicide or a freak accident caused by drugs, life is so fragile.

I see Maya has switched off comments on TikTok but left the stories up. I hope she has someone strong guiding her as she’s facing a lot of criticism.

I think part of it is that his family had reached out and said he wasn’t in a good way and they were concerned about the affect this would have on him with the book and her talking about it (which is her right) but they were concerned as to where it would all end in his current state

Lots of people on social media blaming Maya for his death.

It's really setting women back that just because someone is famous they can abuse people and it's the woman's fault, the worst thing is it's women who are blaming her.

100% agree ❤ was something similar with that YouTube guy young filly who's being charged with SA! The comments from women saying the girl went back to the hotel she knew they were going to have sex so basically it's her fault 😞 really sets us women back! and comments like no he's a nice guy he wouldn't do that 🤬 makes me sick. These fans believe they know these people on a deeper level when they really don't

I’ve wondered whether he tried to jump into the pool from his balcony, feeling invincible due to the drugs?

I just hope she has good people around her because she’s going to need support over the next few days.
