Hate following myself in a thread n all, but I do still hope there's an ongoing conversation about what is in place to protect young artists.

No matter what Liam eventually did, I'm sure we can all agree that the bright hopeful young boy belting out Sinatra and Buble didn't deserve his fate, equally that his nearest and dearest didn't deserve all the trauma and heartbreak either.

Drugs are shit, alcohol is dangerous, as is social media and fame exposure and I really hope Liam is the final casualty to this, but I really really can't see it.
I saw a video on YouTube of Liam singing "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz at his Year 11 leavers service and it made me so sad. Knowing he started out as a hopeful teenager with a big dream and ended up with so many struggles 😢 He should have been supported to live his dream and not mistreated by managers and the media. He had such a light in his eyes back then 💔

Even just the properties, we know for definite he was paying for his place in Chalfont, Cheryl's, his penthouse in London, and the place in Florida, all alongside regular hotel stays, most likely in top suites, rented villas etc.

That's a substantial amount per month, especially as he'd been paying the first three for some time.

Add onto that the speculation he's paid for properties for his parents and siblings, that's a hefty amount of outgoings, before anything else is taken into account.

Still the amount left to Bear is nothing to be sniffed at, especially if it's invested wisely.
However I'm sure he'd likely give it all up if it meant having his father back, bless him.

So frustrating.

Just because Roger is a douche with potentially questionable morals, doesn't equate to being responsible for Liam's death.

If he's been incorrectly claiming to be Liam's manager at points and potentially reaping the rewards, surely there's something else more suited than abandonment or manslaughter or whatever it currently is.

Being a shit friend isn't an imprisonable offence last time I looked.

I feel so sorry for Liam's family, and pleased they've managed to maintain a dignified silence in the face of all this.

Cheryl's stalker was sentenced again today, pathetic sentence, considering he'd broken a restraining order etc as well this time too, but assuming the articles are correct, luckily it seems B at least wasn't home when he turned up again in December, which is one thing, right now he definitely should be able to feel his home is a safe place.

Magic 8 ball says "no chance". Those people will have #justiceforLiam inscribed on their head stone.

I've just read a raving comment about how the hearings were a whitewash because they didn't explore who pushed him. This is never, ever going away for some people.

Personally, I'm glad it's been resolved and I hope that his loved ones are able to drown out the noise from the peanut gallery.
Some of the hashtags on the IG posts I've seen are insane, I dread to think what's going on on X. One post was calling on the remaining 1D guys to "speak out" and another was insisting the fans will continue to seek justice and "the truth". The amount of energy some are putting into this I can only assume they're very young, don't have a house to run and have never suffered the sudden loss of someone they're close to IRL because whatever they're feeling now will pale in comparison to that. By all means grieve, but they need some perspective. It's not their fight to fight.

Liam's death is clearly going to be one of those celebrity death conspiracy theories, much like those of Marilyn Monroe, Kurt Cobain, and Princess Diana, amongst others. Despite all the evidence pointing to the facts, the stans will continue to insist he was murdered.

A lot of the above also applies to Liam too, the Cheryl thread has plenty of debate whether he's on the birth certificate, was he a beard along with Justin for her and Kimberly, was it a business deal, sperm donor etc.

Lord forbid that he was just a normal fella who couldn't believe his luck when one of the typical dream women of him and his friends growing up was actually interested in him....

The phone thing is really weird. I don't believe his parents genuinely believed he didn't have a phone. And if he told them he didn't have one, does that mean he also lied to his cousin (the one he was close to that often posts about him), his sisters and Cheryl? They're are all on social media and probably saw Kate's reels where he was using one, did they not confront him? It makes more sense that he just blocked them as and when he didn't want to talk to them.

That is a good point, most likely true about the phone.

I think them being truthful publicly in the end will lessen the blow for what actually happens with Bear, because one day he will read it all unfortunately but if they were open to the idea that this was all Liams doing, he was spiralling for years and the industry is not a safe place for young people. I just don’t think it’s helpful them all almost covering up and painting Liam to be something we all know was not the reality of his addictions.

I just know, when I found out a family member who died young was not what was painted and talked about it absolutely broke my heart when I found out when I was much older and it hurt me waaaay more.
BIB I agree. We're constantly being told that if you're struggling with your mental health you should seek help, not suffer in silence, etc. as mental illnesses are no longer a stigma; yet when a celebrity dies as a direct result of their mental health issues, those left behind try and cover it up. He'd spoken about his mental health before, he admitted to having addiction issues, but by putting out the narrative that he was happy and sober in the days and hours leading up to his death suggests someone was trying to cover up his struggles. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they should have released all his private medical information, but saying he was struggling with his mental health or had unfortunately relapsed would've framed things very differently. Instead we had people saying he was clean whilst others speculated he was on heroin, and he went from being perfectly fine to not being able to look after himself and needing a full-time carer (i.e. Roger). I appreciate everyone was trying to protect his son, but in doing so they unfortunately fueled some potentially more harmful conspiracy theories.

Bull shit. I didn't know him and even I could see he was far from being in a "good headspace". He was clearly drunk and/or high for most of the trip.
Why is everyone trying to make out like he was sober until she left?
Maybe trying to protect him? Or even herself to an extent, if she makes out she knew nothing/saw nothing she can't really be brought in to any legal stuff or questioned by his family

It's very sad that the #justiceforliam brigade focus on his last few hours, when the true justice for him and his loved ones would be better support for mental health and addictions.

No recognition of the impact though on the mental health of his loved ones, by making out he's been murdered when his death is tragic enough.

Catching up on this thread but it is honestly just so shocking and awful the way things panned out after Liam’s death.

A man is dead - a father, a son, a brother, a friend. Yet there’s images of his dead body, his penis, his texts between prostitutes, his receipts of alcohol and drug addiction, his hotel room in a vulnerable state, printed all over the media and all easily accessible via the internet. And not just small sites, big international sites such as TMZ and Daily Mail (not that I hold them in high regard, mind.) I just can’t believe that it’s almost just shrugged off, there’s no big scale uproar about how *wrong* all of this is. Let the man rest in peace!

I just find it ironic that most of them are like "Outing Harry and Louis is wrong. We want to show that we support them" then proceed to show "proof" which if true would essentially be outing them

Is that his penis in one of the pictures?!
That's revolting. The DM said they wouldn't publish pictures of his dead body from the files out of respect. Now they're publishing a screenshot of a dick pic he sent to a prostitute. Disgusting. I hope Cheryl or his family caught it and go after them for distributing a sexual image without consent.

As they bloody should… Roger was not there, he was not in charge of a grown adult man in his 30s. Hopefully these obsessed 1D twitter fans can finally start to realise that the boys are not innocent boys they have idolised on X Factor anymore and actions have consequences.

I'm sure Roger and the hotel workers will live with their decisions the rest of their lives anyway.

Hopefully he can actually rest in peace now without every other poor decision he made shared with the world for his son to see.

I just…. Sorry no person has a moral obligation over another grown adult in their 30’s - it’s almost like there trying to take heat off the clear drug problem in America.

Put effort into the suppliers and creators of pink cocaine

At the end of the day, it's Bears money. Cheryl is only looking after it for him it wouldn't be right of her to give any of it to Liams family. I don't know if he bought his family their homes or anything but they seemed to live humble, they didn't use Liam to make money they seemed to have their own career paths etc which will continue after liams passing. If anything, it would be up to bear to give them money from his estate when he turns 18 but in all honesty, I don't think they're the type of people that would want it or feel comfortable taking it.
I agree with an earlier post on here too though I don't like how Cheryl is being made to be some kind of saviour in all of this. Sure, she's doing a great job raising bear and is faced with a heartbreaking journey with him by raising him without liam now but she still isn't little miss innocent here. She still took advantage of him like the many others in his life

Let be honest, we don’t actually know anything about Cheryl or their relationship. I imagine it wasn’t the best dealing with essentially a deadbeat dad and having to make up excuses as to why he’s never around and why he can’t go to his house etc. Cheryl’s priority is and was Bear, not Liam.

I don’t think Liam was THAT honest about their relationship because she’s insanely private and he didn’t want to look like he was a bad or absent father.
I remember her being very anti-drugs in the girls aloud days because of friends who had passed from that, so I can only imagine the efforts she went to avoid Bear being exposed to this.

Yeah I think Liam spoke a lot of shit to make himself look like a better father, talking about Bear’s grades in school like 7 year olds are getting graded in lessons. I found it all a bit odd acting the doting father in interviews and moving half way around the world.

I don’t think anyone who’s in a relationship with someone who has a drug problem and is actively using can understand their struggles. You can only help someone who wants to be helped. I think Maya came across mature in the Rolling Stones interview, considering everything she went through.

I don't think it was anything too spectacular or different from anything else we've seen tbh. Even the pictures and footage were all ones that have been massively shared everywhere. Although I did like that they had a clip of Liam talking about his dad, perhaps a nice way of acknowledging the unnecessary stress that's been placed on his dad lately and giving him support too. I did notice in the end credits they thanked his family though so maybe they provided the footage to use. I guess there is also court cases so they'd need to be super careful with what they used too.
