I've watched all the episodes of Building The Band that have been released so far. My understanding is that it finished filming a month before he died and he "seemed normal" at the time. To me though, he does not. He's a bit overly animated and his eyes look a bit glassy. To me, anyway. However, what is abundantly clear is that he was having the time of his life, mentoring younger people really suited him.

where is this woman getting this info from? I’ve seen her post stuff before that’s questionable about Liam.

I mean, makes total sense for Cheryl to be in charge and wouldn’t surprise me. The executor of my will is a close friend because we all know after death family become a bit grabby for items and money unfortunately so it make sense to have someone else you trust esp as the money was always for Bear. But also her claims that Roger is actually suing Cheryl by suing Geoff is odd, he’s not suing the estate he’s just suing Geoff for his “false” statements. What’s that got to do with chezzzza?
Lots of news outlets that have seen the court documents have reported that Cheryl is Bear's trustee over Liam's estate. That's been known pretty much from the start so it definitely isn't "breaking news". The rest is bollocks. The Argentinian authorities brought the charges against all those accused using the evidence they had at the time, they weren't acting on Cheryl's commands. Geoff hasn't been "finger pointing", he gave statements to the police which were leaked. And like you said, Roger is suing Geoff, not Liam's estate [and therefore Cheryl by default]. It makes no sense for Roger to be suing Liam's estate and for him to state he'd give the 10 million to Bear if he wins; he'd just be giving Bear his own money back.
I expect this women has had so much filler it's affected the functioning of her brain or she's just thick.

I agree it was more than addiction with him. He didn't have a normal teenage/young adulthood life he was used and abused by the industry as well as by adults who should have known better. Looking back at 1d stuff it's clear to see how much the other people in the band meant to him as well as fans, I think he yearned that interaction the most and hence took the "break/split" the worst and spiralled in all aspects of his life afterwards.
I agree. I think it’s very clear in the videos with his fans that it means almost as much to him as it does to the fans. He really cared about what people thought of him. I know we all do to some extent, but I think to him it was the be all and end all. Just so sad how it ended for him.

Maybe it was bad spending habits. The band were known to buy multiple properties, custom built life size statues of movie characters, expensive jewellery, stay in £20k per night suites. The list goes on. Not everything could be classified as a business expense

I just…. Sorry no person has a moral obligation over another grown adult in their 30’s - it’s almost like there trying to take heat off the clear drug problem in America.

Put effort into the suppliers and creators of pink cocaine
I don't get the hate for the people who supplied Liam with drugs - he presumably asked them for it, if they hadn't supplied the drugs then he could/would have easily got them from somewhere else. The same with alcohol. There's drugs everywhere, Argentina is no exception 🤷‍♀️
And there is a difference between supplying someone with drugs and being a drug dealer.

How homophobic of you!

Seriously though, I love how they just ignore the fact that if Louis and Harry were closeted, they've had 10 years away from Simon now and could've come out at any time during this period. It's like they're saying "Fuck Liam's alcoholism, Zayn's eating disorder and Niall's OCD, let's fighting for something we have no real evidence of". It's absolutely ridiculous.

While she's not saying anything bad about him, I'm sure his family are happy to leave it as it is.

As you've said, the reality is that he'd been asked - legally - to stop harassing Maya, and one of his last acts was to cheat on Kate with sex workers. Better 50 interviews with Kate talking about their "fairytale" than leave the headlines following his death be the most recent stories when he's searched. I'm not trying to imply that anyone is trying to engineer that deliberately, just that they probably prefer to let sleeping dogs lie and I can't say I blame them.

BIB but that's exactly what you're doing. Where's your evidence that they're talking about Maya? There were multiple women saying the same things about Liam. It's just as plausible that they're talking about one of them, possibly even more so.

The truth is we've seen no evidence that shows Liam did abuse Maya, but there's also no evidence that proves he didn't. This constant back-and-forth trying to paint Liam as some sort of saint and Maya as the villain isn't going to change the fact that, like everyone, he was flawed. And his addictions made him act/react in a way he probably wouldn't have when he was sober. If she lied, of course that's abhorrent, but at this point we've no way of proving either way, and it's unlikely we ever will.

Also it's coming from a DM journalist who used to work for The Sun. So there's that.
But there were a lot of people saying that we should believe Maya and that she can't possibly be wrong or flawed in any way because she is a woman and we "should always believe women" which I will say, as a woman, that is not the right way to think in any situation. What they possibly dealt with in their relationship should have been kept private and dealt with privately. Liam has said in the past that he isn't perfect and that certain things he struggled with effected his personal relationships with others. Yet these "I will always believe women " people were dragging him down, trying to silence him and not wanting to hear a single word he said about his personal experiences

People regularly put off making a Will when it is one of the most important documents you will ever make. People don't understand the law and don't understand the importance of taking proper legal advice in this area.

Surely if he told his family and friends he was planning on faking his death to get out of the public eye and away from the hate he was getting they'd tell him it's not a good idea? Putting fans alone, and not family and friends, through that is horrible

We heard all of this shortly after Liam’s death. More than anything the article just gives the impression that he was absolutely off his face on drugs, was acting erratically and didn’t even really know what he was doing.

Is it really so bizarre for someone to say solely nice things about their recently deceased partner?

If she wants to remember him as loving and kind, then that's down to her.

Assuming Bear inherits at least the majority, there's bound to be some sort of trust set up, and that won't be able to be dipped into 'to pay people off'.

I'm sure if she was in it for the money she'd have either made sure he had set something aside for her (considering the previous overdoses), or even if Liam's parents were able to pay her something, she'd have probably earned a lot more doing a tell-all giving every little detail of the last 2 years.

Even if the Paynes were in the position to pay her something for her nice statement, I'm sure Rogers lawsuit of suing Geoff for £10m (1/7 of Liam's reported net worth) is a more financial pressing concern than paying off a partner who'd already said plenty of nice things about him on social media.

I suspect she is looking at a way to get back in the limelight to make some money. Hopefully she is respectful.

Anyone wondering if Cheryl knew about the prostitutes from the start, which prompted her to protect Liams memory and their son with her don’t even post/print what you have to say post? Love how fierce she is about protecting Liam and bear. And wondering if Kate will continue with her I love you Liam posts and tats now it’s actually in print what happened with the ‘ladies’
Pretty sure a lot of people knew about the prostitutes within a day or two of his death. I definitely knew before Cheryl released her statement and I wasn't really following the situation closely at that point. As for Kate, she probably knew from the start and before Cheryl, especially if the "friend" who told her Liam had died was Roger or his girlfriend. The information that's been released over the past few days isn't really 'new' news. And Kate's not going to come out and call him a cheating bastard at this late stage.

30:08mins This journalist talks about a woman who contacted her with a story she wanted told on Liam payne and they gave pictures/texts for their story which were proven to be fake.

Coincidently at same time as this Maya his ex was on a podcast saying how she tried to get in maintstream media about her "allegations" but no one would touch it.

This is why you should be careful about beleiving people with no hard facts or evidence to support their claims.

Yeah that's pretty shitty.

Interesting though how they say they were basically ready to publish, and then found out it was fake...

Like how? Surely do your due diligence before you even bother writing the article?
Unless you are only in it for sensationalist chip wrapping paper of course.

I'd be interested to know how they came to the sudden realisation that their scoop was fake right before they published it though.

And in this case it was especially lucky they didn't in light of what was about to happen.

It's all already out there though. She can't "nope" something that's there's physical evidence of.
If she's had any role in the Argentina investigation, however small, she should stay quiet until that's over. Ditto if she had any respect for Bear.

And you're quite right, she doesn't owe the public anything, so why bother with the interview in the first place? I've been quite defensive of Kate so far but this screams "money grab". There's plenty of ways to earn money other than selling your story, regardless of whether she painted him in a good light.

She's also posted an IG story trying to justify the interview. She's proving all the stans right, she's doing it to cash in. She doesn't need to "share her experience". Just say you love and and miss him, noone needs to know anything more.

And the actual audacity of mentioning the “thousands of messages from Liam’s fans seeking clarity”: whether the stans are right or not — and I would not DM a dead celebrity’s girlfriend — this is not the clarity the majority of them would have been asking for. It gives such “I received so many messages about my dress — here’s the link!!! [referral code / ad]” vibes.

I think the story about him ringing his mam is complete bollocks. If his mam had known how distraught he was, I'm pretty sure she and Geoff would have got on the next plane to Argentina to support him.
This a hundred times over, those of us who've seen the funeral pictures can clearly see she would have moved heaven and earth to save him, and that goes for any of them not just his mam. Ruth said it herself, she'd have driven to the ends of the earth to save her brother. The Paynes have gone above and beyond, supporting him through his addiction, and most importantly supporting the son he's sadly left behind.

If she's wrote that herself, she's tied each paragraph off well, and they're quite hard hitting and I think sum up their overall situation well...

I kept hoping each incident would be a wake-up call for him to get help, but it never was.

No matter how much I tried to save him, I was drowning in the process.

I don’t fault him for his struggles.

I had to walk away, no matter how much it hurt, because staying in his world meant losing myself.

I’m faced with the complexity of grieving for someone I cared so deeply about despite the pain they have caused me.

I'd say it's a pretty good statement overall, she's even put her name to not faulting him for his own struggles, and again it focuses mainly on addiction and it's knock on affects rather than Liam was a shitty person full stop.

I do too hope she is left alone now, both her and Kate, and if it's what they both still want, I hope in time they get to have the happy family scenario they were never able to achieve with Liam.
Honestly, it’s better than Kate’s Disney version of events…. She acted like he was sober and everything was blue skies, butterflies and rainbows when everyone else including his family and friend have all confirmed that is so far from the truth.

Reality was, he was cheating on her, harassing his ex…. She knew, 100% shes trying to build a career without Liam using his fans by not pissing the weird fans off with the actual truth.
