Pretty harmless fluff piece isn't it.

Most horrifying thing so far is that she wanted one of those creepy 1D dolls 🤣
I'm sure plenty of people liked them, but for me dolls=creepy 🤣

I think we've had a balanced discussion around her so far, which has of course changed and evolved as she's been spotted, released posts and now the interview.

If anyone is looking for a bit more positivity around her,I'd say it's commendable she's kept Nala, especially as she was a rescue dog originally.

She's also chosen some fab outfits when out and about with Liam, especially some of her boots 😍 (I do love a good pair of boots!)

I do hope she stops whatever it is she's doing to her face though, she's so young and naturally pretty. It's a shame seeing these girls ruining their looks to try and fit in with what society says they need to be like to be pretty

I know zip about plastic surgery or aesthetics but can people tell that she's had stuff done? I can normally only tell if it's someone who I definitely know what they looked like before like Michelle Keegan 🙈

To me she just looks like one of those people who seems to look about five years younger as soon as she smiles, compared to her resting face?

She doesn't have a single line or wrinkle on her face...lol 😂

Why do these young women mess with their faces? Kate Cassidy is a very attractive woman, and she really doesn't need any cosmetic tweaks. I don't understand why Liam had work done either, he was a handsome man, with lovely eyes.

She’s got a very good team of people telling her what to say, which is what everyone wants to hear like the one direction reunion etc.. fair play get the money while you still can hun

They're so young as well, their faces are always changing and haven't had a chance to even form a proper wrinkle yet and they're filling their faces with crap. It's sad the pressure they must all be under to be absolutely perfect.
I always remember how shocked I was at the friends reunion, lisa kudrow was the only one that looked her age and in my opinion, she looked the best too! It's sad as they were all beautiful.

I do think she has subtly tried to address a few rumours too, like there was one flying about back last year that 1D were planning to reunite before Liam's death.

From what she's said there that doesn't sound like there was active talks (that she knew about anyway)or she wouldn't have been talking about a 20 year anniversary which is still 5 years away....

After watching the interview and reading the Sun articles it doesn't look like she mentioned him being sober before she left, so I'll take back what I said about her in that respect. Saying he was in a good headspace was obviously a lie though.

I still don't think it was a good idea to do a paid interview (if she was paid). It's not going to significantly reduce the amount of hate she was/is getting and most of what she said she'd already posted on her socials. It just seems pointless and money grabbing, especially when it looks like she was shopping around to be interviewed. I hope she at least gave his family the head's up before going ahead.

These days, with social media, phone cameras everywhere etc, people look at themselves way more than they should. It’s not natural, and leads to a weird perception of one’s own appearance. When you think about it, we’re not really built to look at our own faces at all, and I think it messes with our heads to do it too much.
Add to that the constant barrage of filtered unattainable visages on insta et al, and it’s a recipe for distorted self image.

The fact she is the one who initiated the interview is what I find suss.

I think if she was fed up with them reaching out to her for her side/story/whatever, she might’ve agreed just to stop the hassle. But to approach The rum (of all rags) off your own back to get your story out, is what I don’t like. It’s as if she’s tried to give it enough time to make sure she’s been seen to be grieving, but hasn’t left it too long, where it could be considered ‘old news’ and not worthy.

If she was approaching people early December, maybe it was a bit of pushback from her after the comments around her appearance at the funeral, which she did address in her interview as well.

There was plenty of it about at that point, as well as speculation because she didn't arrive/leave with the family, and I know she was basically the nations sweetheart and the mother of his son, but if it was my partners funeral and his ex partner was everywhere all over the papers the next day for how strong she is, how she'd arranged everything so well etc I'd rightly or wrongly probably feel a bit put out too.

Of course the above isn't Cheryl's fault either, the press are pants and I think we all well knew she alongside the 1D boys would be the focus as they're most likely to generate the interest and clicks.

Either that or something to do with the upcoming court cases, like wanting to get her side across first as she'll obviously be brought up to some extent, and already has been in the lawsuit.

I think if she was solely in it for money, she would have probably been better paid if she'd spilled more tea and not done such a fluff piece, so I'll carry on giving her the benefit of the doubt on this one.

I do wonder what Liam's family think of her though. I can sympathise with what she's been through and I can respect that the interview wasn't her dishing their dirty secrets etc but there is still a little niggle with her. I 1000% believe that she was with Liam for love and had no idea that this would happen but her relationship with his family seemed pretty non existent which is a bit weird. Not that it's anything to do with me though 😂

Oh I agree the niggle is still there, but I think Garcia The Great hit the nail on the head a few pages back, with the old cliché that as an American she's more comfortable expressing herself, whether that was on TikToks, or now speaking so publicly about emotional subjects of love, loss and grief.
We can relate far more to the almost awkward Liam in their previous social media together, as we're not so good at the self expression 🤣

The family thing I guess we'll never know, but maybe they did spend more time together that we weren't aware of, and I know it's been leaked and translated but Geoff himself has said she loved and cared for him.

If there was any awkward distance, it probably did come from Liam rather than Kate, he would have known the trouble and upset caused to his family with his struggle for sobriety over the last few years, and especially as they seemed to be deviating on what would help, ie Geoff wanting him to carry on focusing on music, Roger and Liam with the investments etc, I can see him maybe taking a step back, less contact etc if he thought they didn't approve of what he was doing, most of us don't like disappointing our parents, especially to the scale it looks like they were the ones who ended up facilitating his contact with his own son 😕

Oh its not how she expressed herself and her love for Liam in the interview. It's the niggle with the family that I have ie the funeral and just other bits with them they just don't seem to really have anything to do with each other which is sad considering she spent the last 2 years of Liams life with him
