A new box to tick on the O'Bingo card - Jobby's newspaper column. He 'casually' mentioned yesterday that he's writing a weekly column for the I Paper. Presumably it'll get a plug every day. Today ✅
I had a look but it's behind a paywall. From the couple of visible sentences, it's a written version of his daily Farage bashing.

Thank you Maggie.

I took a look on Twitter or X and with only 2 replies both unfavourable things seem to be struggling.

The same I newspaper that is owned by the Daily Mail ? :)

The words of Groucho Marx spring to mind 'These are my principles. If you don’t like them I have others.

Not a snowball's chance in hell I'll ever read it, but I bet he won't mention the Mail

I had to check that as I thought, surely not! However, you are correct. O'Brien is very special. :ROFLMAO:

I've just see a Jacamo/Joe Marler advert on TikTok where Joe is shouting compliments to men on the street as they walk by .... Joe shouted at one Henry Riley as he passed by. :ROFLMAO:

I would never have associated the I with the Fail...Maybe he agreed to write the column as he thought it was all about impressive egos? :D

I'm sure O'Brien will justify it by saying it's totally different with a different editor and ethos etc etc etc

Yawnfest for me but distraction fodder for those not happy with the Makerfield results, I suppose.
I'm not happy with it. Starmer is currently one of the Tories' best assets. Burnham won't be such a pushover for Kemi at PMQs! On the other hand, his popularity might not extend far beyond his current northern base. We now wait to see what Starmer's next move will be. I wonder where Jobby's loyalties will lie.

James has worked for the Daily Mail before. So it is a case of looking at what he does rather than what he says...

As a neutral I think Burnham will be able to deal with Trump without resorting to painful sycophancy and he'll see off mad Musk which would benefit every UK citizen

Poor old Dicey Ticey and his fellow Reform mates offering up excuses and interesting "theories". Why not just be a bit more humble and say you got it wrong re the dodgy candidate?

I think Starmer and O'Brien might be right in saying that the Reform bubble may be bursting. Reform has been throwing the kitchen sink at these elections and whilst they've had some wins, nowhere near what they thought they'd have.

I'm pretty sure Nigel is already bored at being a proper politician.

Yes I agree and Tice is hardly impressive with his various theories..The likes of Sarah Pochin just dig their own graves with their ill timed comments.

That nonsense about the England team needing to win to stop domestic violence ... 🤷‍♀️

Farage has gone to ground since the £5 million gift news came out. His previous teflon touch has disappeared, probably for good

It will be interesting to see if the 'Burnham effect' will still be working when Manchester chooses a new Mayor. I think it will have worn off and they'll return to voting Reform, like the recent council.elections.
