Agreed. There are plenty of Marina Purkiss types out there who are no more qualified to talk about politics than I am but Sangita is a pukka journalist with many years experience at the BBC and now LBC.I don't know, there's an ever shrinking pool of media outlets but an ever growing pool of gobshites, sorry 'presenters'. It's a bloodbath out there in media luvvie land right now.
Something has gone on but not necessarily what the mob thinks...It is a good article. Not full of hyperbole. I'm sure she'll find a new broadcasting home soon. She's obviously well thought of within the industry.
I don't think that interview is why she's gone. As I said, they haven't rejigged the whole of the weekend schedule just to cover her. If it was just a case of binning Sangita they'd have just brought in a cover presenter for her slots. Maybe she just didn't fit behind the scenes.
Thanks. Pleased that my patch of London voted against the arrogant little ****.My commiserations, Maggie...
Very pleased to see democracy in action but I'm afraid the only other conclusion I can arrive at is those who did vote for him are just as vileThanks. Pleased that my patch of London voted against the arrogant little ****.

You can take some sort of solace from that. His arrogance must have had a wobble even though he won. Susan Hall was hardly a realistic option, I felt? Thanks. Pleased that my patch of London voted against the arrogant little ****.

She wasn't the best option but it's not a job that attracts the brightest and best. To give her credit she worked hard at getting her message across but didn't get much support from the main party. Pity Boris didn't offer to have another go. He'd have walked it!You can take some sort of solace from that. His arrogance must have had a wobble even though he won. But he's still got his monthly schmoozing sessions with Khan to look forward to.On it goes with more bad news for Jimbo as a kicker.
I'm not personally a Sadiq fan and had huge concerns about ULEZ forcing people who may not have been able to afford the charge or a newer vehicle off the road, but he got the most votes so democracy has spoken. I was suprised at the number of callers to Vanessa yesterday saying there had been a noticeabe improvement in air quality since ULEZ came into being. I thought Vanessa was a breath of fresh air by the way, really enjoyed her first show. You can take some sort of solace from that. His arrogance must have had a wobble even though he won. I caught Nick bemoaning the fact Khan won't go on his show. Hasn't been on for years. Nick seemed quite irritated. But he's still got his monthly schmoozing sessions with Khan to look forward to.
I'm not sure how that works either. Bin collections, pot holes, local youth and charity initiatives, anti social behaviour, tip opening hours, Gaza ....Probably the same reason I cannot get my head around why what is going on in Israel and Palestine had such a bearing on local electionsThe world is certainly a very very strange angry place just now
He really is a vile little coward. I enjoyed Susan Hall calling him out for a thousand knife deaths on the streets of London while he’s been mayor and asking him to do better. He just stood behind her making faces. The piece of shit.I caught Nick bemoaning the fact Khan won't go on his show. Hasn't been on for years. Nick seemed quite irritated.
I think that is very poor of Sadiq. He seems to prefer appearing with his "client journalist" James where he is assured of a cosy chat and an easy ride. Nick Ferrari gives robust and challenging interviews but is fair and balanced on the whole. Other leaders of all political shades appear on his show, it doesn't reflect well on the Mayor of London that he is not prepared to do so.I caught Nick bemoaning the fact Khan won't go on his show. But James isn't a client journalist .... he doesn't like client journalistsI think that is very poor of Sadiq. Result! Well done to you for your awesome negotiating skillz and refusal to just suck up a rise! She wasn't the best option but it's not a job that attracts the brightest and best. Off topic. To cheer me up I had a success this morning. My broadband supplier, EE, informed me that my monthly charge was going up by £11!! I've just phoned to query this and negotiated a £4 reduction!!

Fuck me LBC are getting more desperate by the second. If Trump was in the UK they'd be asking him to call-in every day I reckon.George Galloway being George Galloway ...
Sigh...Mutter mutter..Paper rustle etc?Fuck me LBC are getting more desperate by the second. If Trump was in the UK they'd be asking him to call-in every day I reckon.
As for Khan not being interviewed by Nick ... yeah it is a bit poor considering quite a few Londoners would probably stick LBC on for 30 mins in the morning before going to work, or on their way to work. It would be much more interesting and informative. Not sure how Nick would react to Sadiq crying live on air.
Bald as a CootWhat is it with Galloway and that ridiculous hat? He looks a right twat.
