It’s all getting a bit cringe. She doesn’t ever seem to explain the ethos behind any of her work... I mean I get it’s for ‘cancer’ but I feel there’s an expectation that people should part with the cash for that reason alone. She needs to be better at showcasing what her business/charity are doing that’s special. I don’t follow her avidly so maybe I’ve missed stuff but the point is to reach the masses and connect and it’s not really happening I don’t think.

Apparently embarrassed that she has to ask folk to engage with her posts again. 🙄 She's upset that unless she's naked or talking about cancer, then engagement is a myth.
What gained her a following and earned her the platform from which she now speaks is her journey with cancer, the authentic voice of a young woman dealing with and awful, awful thing.
It is wonderful that she has come out the other side of her treatment so successfully but unsurprising that with that brilliant health news her following is not so engaged. Sadly, many of them will still be treading a painful, difficult path or coping with friends and relatives who are. They're not here for Soho House trips and designer shopping.
The sense of entitlement really angers me. You are not owed engagement you must earn it like everyone else.

It’s the capitalising every word, it drives me crazy I’ve had to unfollow. It must take her ages! Also I think her smile looks a bit odd now she’s had her surgery, I remember she’s done stories about it all and maybe I missed it but I’d love to know how much it cost as I’m keep thinking about needing something similar, and she’s so cagey about cost and whether she paid for it!

Not sure if there’s another page for Lauren or if I’m out here alone witching, but…. She appears to be flooding all her house furniture that I’m fairly certain was all gifted to her?? I definitely remember her doing La Redoute ads and I’m certain wardrobes were gifted. How hard is it for these people to be transparent??

So glad this thread has been set up. This girl does my absolute brain in. And for someone who hasn't had cancer in timmmmme she's really living out on it still isn't she (mainly in Soho house). Can't bear middle aged women desperately trying to keep up with the East Londom kids like she does. I get that she is perma single and most people of her age have settled down so she probably has to socialise with 20 somethings, but it is a bit tragic

This girl has become peak influencer these days. She’s been moving house for the last week all day everyday? But been out for dinner lots of course. Most people with actual jobs have to pack and move in their evenings and weekends around their work but she has all the free time in the world and is still moaning daily about it.

The “moving on my own” post this morning did make me roll my eyes. Seems she’s forgotten about the best moving company ever that she shared a gifted post from last week. They must be thrilled! #influencerfail

The Instagram post she put up of herself posing sexily (or at least attempting to, as I'm not sure that's a verb that can be ascribed to her if we are being brutally honest) in front of a big picture of her face, alongside loads of other 'influencer' head shots at bleeping MC Saatchi talking about her head Adorning Star Studded Walls the other day made me die. How far removed she now is from a being a relatable cancer influencer, she's just standard twit these days. And don't we have enough of those?

Just to clarify is this week 3 or 4 of nothing but “moving”? Flat out with this hard work you know! These influencers are beyond annoying, it really comes to the surface anytime they need to do anything classified as real life. Their idea of work is just going to events and tagging freebies.

Exactly this. And she must be doing quite well from doing very little - the cost of her new flat to rent, given that size and in that location, is going to be SUBSTANTIAL. (ex) cancer influencers do alright these days don't they... Luckily for her it already looks like she's done her grifting and has got her paint paid for her by doing an ad too. Ah, the relatability.

She almost died from cancer. And she’s lost a lot of people close to her from cancer recently. I think your bullying her. You don’t know her personally or know her life or her story or what she’s been through.
She did NOT almost die from cancer. Her cancer was caught early, had not spread and was completely treatable. She had a lumpectomy (the least invasive kind of surgery) followed by chemo that was successful, and she's been clear for quite some time now.

I'm not saying she didn't have a rough time when she was going through the diagnosis and treatment, but her experience can in no way be compared to Rachael or Deborah's. Lauren now only uses her cancer experience to make money/generate social media engagement.

Unless someone has been diagnosed with cancer I don't think it's fair to belittle her experience - I can't imagine how it must feel to be diagnosed with cancer, no matter what stage it is, chemo and surgery of any kind can still be traumatic
I check my breasts regularly now due to Lauren raising awareness

While i appreciate she has helped you, some of us in the cancer community - i have stage 4 breast cancer - find lauren a bit much to be honest. She's a bog standard, wannabe influencer these days who still plays the cancer card because she had early stage cancer ages ago.

She needs to move on and stop chatting about it, she's a just a basic east london influencer who thinks she's too cool for school.
This is all fine, but if you want to do this then just duck off to soho house for good and quit with the cancer stuff. Be a fashion influencer, hang out with hannah george all the time. Fine. Stop pretending it's still about cancer

She's entirely unrelatable (see recent posing in front of her own head shot at MC Saatchi) and, as someone said on another thread, has become a bit of a grief tourist at this point.

Plus She's Really bleeping Annoying. You're Nearly Forty Lauren, Have Some Respect- You Don't Have To Capitalise A Nice Message To Your Dying Friend Because It Is On Brand.

And look, i do have some sympathy as I can see she is just desperate to settle down and find a bloke and this is probably just filling a hole. But she doesn't help herself.

That’s completely fair enough! The whole influencer world is toxic as duck, and yeah there have been times especially with her attending awards and events etc, feels like her messaging is a bit off!xx

Thanks for getting it! It's just the more famous and influencer hungry she's got the worse she seems to some of us - cancer is not that glam... It isn't glam at all!

Used to think she was alright in the beginning when she spent less time in twatty hotels and living in her, what must be, super expensive new flat in London.

As I said though, the girl just wants a man and i don't think she's going to find one hanging out with 25 year olds

If you'd bothered properly reading my post, that's why I said 'I'm not saying she didn't have a rough time when she was going through the diagnosis and treatment' specifically so that I wasn't belittling her experience. However, cancer is a crappy experience for everyone and she's still a twit.
