Like she would have no problems, no worries, no crisis, no health issues, no family issues, financial etc. Like its OKAY to say that you're not doing good, or that not "every gentleman that you've been in relationships with were all so sweet and sooo respectful and lovely' - because hey, if they would be this way than probably you would still be in that relationship...or those guys have broken up with her, but you know, no one could ever broke up with Kyle because men fall in love with her WITHOUT EVEN KISSING HER - omg how you can even say something like that, like what does one thing have to do with the other?

yeah I imagine these as those historically wealthy families (like lots in the UK) that are property rich but cash poor, only so much you can make renting holiday homes especially with all the works old homes need. I wonder what they decide about a move to that country house, imagine for him a 2 hour commute each way every day?!

I have a friend from Uni days like this. She is dreading her dad dying, she inherits a title which she describes as useless and pretentious, a house with more rooms than most hospitals but only 5 are habitable and all her family debts.
It appears Guidos connection with nobility died when his grandmother married his grandfather. She was Contessa Anna Galli Tassi Bardini. She was the last surviving member of that family.
Guidos mother is english and the fact that both their engagement and marriage announcements were in The Times might mean she came from money or land too or they were just showing off.
The country estate definitely belonged to the Ghezzi's and I think but no proof yet the Florence estate was the Galli Tassi's.

I can't see Guido traveling 4 hours a day. Kylie could live in the country with a farm hand for a appassionata storia d'amore.

Guido will go down at weekends, where he will find her in a curtain fabric dress, bow in her hair and delicately scented with florals.
She will have prepared a perfectly presented meal and use a word salad of adoring words and devotion before changing into an antique lace nightie and taking him by the hand to bed. All while biting her lip and looking under her eyes a la Princess Diana. I hope she remembers to turn her camera off.

Why do they want to move there anyway ? So she can grow her own vegetables ?

She can grow her own veg on the Florence estate, it's big enough.
I could be over reaching here or jumping off a cliff but to keep him to herself. He seems to have a close relationship with his parents.
Its easier to manipulate someone who isn't around people who aren't easy to manipulate but I don't honestly know.
She seems to be well in with the family considering they have only been together just over a year. She decorated their home for Xmas and now being so involved in the renovations.
I wouldn't even ask my in laws now after 24 years of marriage, never mind after a year of dating and I am really close to them.

I agree that drawing attention to this forum might be het downfall.
I had joined Tattle because a YTer I followed had become problematic, yet the comments under her videos were so glowing and adoring.
I began to doubt my judgement but then I found this forum and realised my judgement was actually} spot on and she deletes any negative comments.
The influencer I had initially doubted (and searched out here) went from a slow moving thread, to one of the fastest moving threads on Tattle and that is because she called us out in one of her vlogs.
The longer she calls us out the more people will come looking for us, either to find out more or to be among kindred spirits.

So true @Denise0211 Also like @Alessandro said there is such a disconnect between Kylie’s bubble of privilege and what most Italians are suffering through Covid and financial disaster. That comment by Mimmi was totally fair and Kylie’s response was so unpleasant and aggressive - but she bullies anyone that dares to question her. The disparity between her narcissistic real self and the fake nice one she tries to portray in her videos plus the real Italy and her fantasy of it - that’s why we are all here on this forum

Also bear in mind this was released when Italy (and the rest of the World) was in a desperate state due to Covid with thousands losing their livelihoods

@emm Thanks so much for starting this thread. I've watched Kylie Flavell for a while and began to find her increasingly annoying but I've now decided that I find her hilarious.

I don't think I am her target audience (ie someone who will become a Patreon to allow her to keep filming a romanticized depiction of life in Italy) but I still enjoy the pretty bits and laugh at the rest. Guido is not that into her but she doesn't know or care.

I need to do a catch up on this thread which seems to have uncovered some interesting additional info...

*Speculation only* But I wonder if she developed a problem with alcohol along the way somewhere? She is so vocal about not drinking and judgey about it now, but it is clear she used to. My boyfriend doesn't really drink at all, but will have a sip of bubbly to clink glasses for a birthday or a bit of wine with friends to be polite at times. If you look at this video (more rich friends of Guido's), less than a minute in there is a?particular exchange between Kylie and whoever was serving. I remembered this video not only bc of the gorgeous villa but bc of the weird wine moment.

It is odd @Denise0211 because It seems like the waiter is giving her a glass of wine (that she wanted) but she is not going to have it on camera but she will have it with lunch....

Couldn’t watch much more, her self-conciousness and the prententiousness and showing off is too much She makes simple Italian food and an afternoon in the country seem like one long massive boast (like most of her videos) “Oh look I have friends with a huge villa/restaurant, oh look at my gorgeous Italian boy-friend, oh look at the gorgeous Italian food I am going to eat, oh look at my (terrible) interviewing skills..” and so on

Also as an Italian, when she speaks my language it is like nails scraping on a blackboard, have to turn off... she tries so hard for a fake posh accent like in English that it is just too jarring to listen to....

If Kylie has the traits we speculate she may have, she's able to draw people to her quickly. Because when wooing, these people tend to mirror you, make you feel good and comfortable (the changes in clothing, speaking, voice, personality, lifestyle over time - possible this explains that). Things can progress very quickly in friendship or romance because it all feels "too good to be true." And of course, it is.

@Ily Yes, exactly. There's a video she did in Spain with some man asking him what pick up lines work, which as they were demonstrating it was basically cat-calling. I forget how the entire convo went, but he did ask her if someone yelling to her from a motorbike that she had great legs would be a compliment and work, she nodded yes. I've posted a few times here I find her over-sexualization and mentality about a woman's true role to be offputting. But she would never address such things, IMO. She sees them as romantic, sexy and 'vintage.' Which, ok...but can we accept there are reasons they could also be viewed as demeaning?

Hi, I am a long time viewer of Kylie's and have just found this forum. I agree with a lot of what is said here, and I have always struggled to follow her timelines/stories. They were always very vague and didn't make sense. Does anyone remember when she made an instagram post in the hospital, saying she needed to leave Rome suddenly - she packed up her beloved Rome apartment. What was that all about? She never explained. I think she went back to Australia for a bit after that, if I'm remembering correctly.

I have just recently started watching Nicki Positano and am really enjoying them.
I had never watched Kylies Dolce Vita diaries, so decided to watch a few last night.
In one she was in her favourite restaurant's kitchen and was being silly and giggly even though this was meant to be a serious, travel docu type thing. The kitchen was full of male staff, when the boss came in and said you are all in here, I wonder why.
She left that in but expects to be taken seriously as a travelogue.
You wouldn't see that in a Nicki Positano vlog. She is more professional.

New to this thread here. Like many of you, I really enjoyed the cinematography of her videos, but I quickly got put off by her. I totally understand she wants to make happy videos, that are ideal for escapism but she took the phrase ‘smile you’re on camera’ to a point where it feels fake. And because of that I didn’t feel her videos and story were genuine, so I stopped watching.
It’s sad because she’s got so much talent, I’m sure she would have a lot more followers if she would be nicer person and made real content.

This gets better and better with practice and age. So this reply is further evidence -- other than her birthdate -- that she's much older than she claimed to be.

She's already tried to turn herself into the victim when responding to mention of the "terrible" things said about her online. Anyone who seeks clarification of facts (age, work history, time lime, residency status) is a "hater" who has no appreciation of love, joy or beauty.

I don't understand how she expects not to be accountable when her work is made public in her own name.

I am glad to have found this forum.

I used to be an admirer of hers, because I am also into traveling, Mediterranean culture & food, classic Hollywood movies and vintage fashion. Also, I was taken away (or manipulated as I know now) by the passion for life she is showing in her videos and tried to be more like that. Finally, because of the COVID situation, I was really in need of some escapism in the past year.

However, I was always put off by the cringing lip-biting and the seductive looks. Then, because I really like some of her dresses, I looked them up online (they are mostly from Rouje) and they cost about 180€ each! Not that I would not invest that kind of money in a beautiful dress, but to have that kind of garment in your closet means you clearly are not poor. Lastly, the whole 50s-housewife vibe of the last few episodes has put me off completely. Not that I have anything against housewifes, I just find it boring to watch. I only liked the scenery but that is due to the beauty Tuscany has been blessed by God.

So, I started to get suspicious which led me to this forum and I am really happy I found it, because you guys opened my eyes and put into words things I was already suspecting. Like the deleting of negative comments (even cute baby videos do get negative comments by some trolls), the over romanticizing of Italy (yes, life in a country like that can be beautiful or even magical sometimes...but it can be brutal as well due to corruption, unemployment, poverty...etc.) and the narcissism (I am all for a healthy dose of confidence and self-love, but I could never act as a femme fatale in front of a camera and take myself seriously).

exactly, I was bored earlier and went quite far back in her instagram and around the time she was claiming poverty living in rome , she is also in a luxury hotel in dubai... none of her povery narrative makes any sense. Imagine posting a video of yourself crying online about having no money to even buy coffee and your family not offering to help? it is all clearly just invented

When she says "can't afford" my blood boils, how can she not know how that sounds? She said it about a large set of gates for one of their developments, when what she meant was that it wasn't within project's budget (the funds for which are presumably apportioned from her fiance's family estate's coffers).

yeah exactly, as I have said before what she means is they are too expensive. "can't afford" (in my view) is something people use for more essential things, i.e. can't afford to buy organic chicken/ can't afford for my child to go on a school trip (random examples) or whatever. She is so tone deaf it is unreal

I did a deep dive into her 'gram. There's a weird series of photos from Berlin where she is dressed like some dominatrix in a few photos, an 80s hooker in others, partied til 7am and evidently met and fell in love with someone instantly....causing him to be "late for work." Not the prim casalinga(housewife) Kylie she is now.
