There was a LOT of attention given to this topic and discussed by both K and Fido; there was an all out solicitation to rent this property and the last video, I checked just again, K stating that the €2000 a month included the house, cottage AND restaurant. The family was fully behind this because it was seen as a way to help pay for the roof.

Surely if they wanted her to do that to garner interest to help pay for the roof they would have replied to those people who emailed.
When they were talking in this video it seemed like G wasn't fully behind it... or at least not yet, especially when he mentioned things like the time schedule and cost schedule and blah blah... I guess that's his way for covering the mistake rather than what I thought which was that he may not have been fully behind her soliciting the place just yet. I haven't seen the other video or his family's opinion, so I'll go back and look for it. Either way, they are definitely not ready to have someone renting it if that's the state it's in... (Guido said as much) and it's downright rude to not answer when people show genuine interest (especially David and Renata who sent a beautiful letter lol--cringed when that popped up on screen, just freaking send them a private letter back!).
To be honest, I haven't really seen Guido do a lot wrong... feel free to chime in with examples if you have them. His major problem is just putting up with manipulation and weird gross publicity (like the disney princess love story video).
On second thought, the little note to Renata and David may have been there to make individuals watching the video feel worse... like they too could have gotten a mention if only their letter was better/more beautiful and encourage them to send things to K.

Could the announcement several flogs back regarding the restaurant property be a trial balloon to accumulate data for finance/refinance/data modelling to justify the renovation expenditure and the 50-70% (was that correct) gov't reimbursement.
And/or some sort of paperwork necessary to receive funds/grants/loans? No feedback to followers necessary at this point....
Referring to a previous episode in NYC: anyone who works in NYC media would not hire K-----y based on the showreel with the jazz stuff (watched with no sound) due to such things as: technically poor framing for the interview (taking up 2/3 screen for interviewer), feet on bed, constant hair shooshing (sp.?), and sultry narcissistic eye contact with the camera, interview subject seems uncomfortable, cliche locations..... etc.
NYC women in media biz are as together as astronauts, professional and never insert themselves into work with T&A like that because if they were to do that their client would not pay them (unless they are intending to narfle the garthok <look it up>. Such work product would never be taken seriously in the highly competitive media market or ever be able to be a successful tool to "pick up jobs" (or however that was expressed). People who could work with you or get you work will watch 10 seconds or less, laugh or belch & turn off.
Also: twirling around, clogging whilst sitting on floor in airport toilet, touching your face?

for financing the project and the renovation costs with the government reimbursement that Guido said was up to 70% (as I recall too). The emails from prospective leaseholders, their interest and what they were willing to pay could definitely have helped with the paperwork necessary to receive the government renovation funds or grants. This is a very good point and may explain why the Purse (aka as Guido, who is an accountant) didn’t even bother replying to anyone who expressed their interest, at this point.
What were the episode/s you were referring to in NYC? (You can post links directly in the forum). I work in film and tv and have always thought KyLie’s technical filmmaking skills were very poor and she is a most unprofessional interviewer. She claims to be a journalist but has had no formal training nor has she worked at a national newspaper or broadcaster. She claims she “edited” a magazine which turns out to be a PR brochure for a casino in Melbourne that is now up to its neck in corruption and fraud charges.
Agree KyLie’s narcissism and lack of skills and professionalism has meant she has been unable to get a “real” job in the media. She had to leave Rome as she was unemployed and virtually bankrupt. The whole begging for money from the Patreon site has been her saviour and the only way she has been to make money. Although all of the boasting and bragging about Guido and his family’s properties have meant she has already lost at least a hundred paying Patreons.
Any Italian citizen can receive even up to 110% reimbursement from a government program as incentive to upgrade of a building or dwelling from one class to another; ie from C to A, depending on what is done. A new roof would be one category among many.
Both Fido and K were pushing the rental of this property for some months now, setting terms and encouraging viewers to apply. This during Covid restrictions when restaurants were closed and they were actively promoting this use, conveniently omitting this fact. It was well noted in this forum, at the time, that this was irregular and deceptive promotion to unwitting viewers who were relying on their “expertise” on how to move to and live in Italy.
For Fido and K to say they intentionally did not respond to inquiries and that if those interested parties could not handle two months of being ignored, then they were not suitable for living in Italy, is utterly unprofessional, bogus and shameful.
They’ll be lucky to avoid a lawsuit from any serious bidders and Fido should worry about losing standing as a professional accountant.

One wonders how K's stated concept of gratuitous beauty meshes with, overlays, or informs the monetization process, or the entire process.

Since there are a lot of competing forces and Guido’s family own the properties, K ultimately is a hanger-on and is using the “renovations” as fodder to feed the Patreon maw. The Purse seems pragmatic and in control of the planning and building issues in which she appears to play no role at all.Regarding KyLie’s 5am hours she has always done this and was a party girl in Rome, where some of us here have come across her. She even wrote in an article how she dated rich guys with expensive tastes in restaurants, cars and apartments and all of her neighbours thought she was an escort because she was out all night with them and didn’t appear to work during the day...
Today, she makes it a badge of honour representing how “hard she works”! Not bad time management. She even said a couple of weeks ago she hasn’t slept for months as she stays up all night editing

Kylie uses the phrase ‘gratuitous beauty’ gratuitously and it is one of her stock standard comments along with “cinematic life” which we have all have had a good laugh about here
I liked the scenery and the towns in her videos but found the best way to watch them is with the volume off or down, she needs to come with a volume control. And her video about how to hang washing was nuts, like what person in their 40s needs an instruction manual on how to pin clothes to a line ......How funny, I JUST came across her! A video was in my suggestions and she seemed like a random middle aged American woman yet again following the Under the Tuscan Sun dream.
Maybe I will peek into the thread from time to time out of curiosity!
Also, @emm Yeah I tried watching QKatie too, but felt the same. I guess she and her husband seem nice enough, and I like seeing Puglia, but her personality grates on my nerves.
Hello, I’ve been lurking on here for a while and have been encouraged by the advent of several new members, as well as enjoying some of the OT discussions on Art &c. I encountered K very briefly when she visited Cannes some years ago. Latterly she was in touch with my uncle Vasi who happens to be a retired barometer dealer. With her predilection towards ‘golden age thinking’ she was hoping that, in return for a mention on one of her vlogs, my uncle would give her an antique barometer so that she could stop consulting her iphone for the weather forecast. I must admit that I had a little crush on K for a while and followed her to Rome, but she was only interested in a rich guy with a scarlet and black Lamborgini who could wine and dine her at La Pergola. Anyhow, I am happy to find this group and trust my insights and contributions may be of some small value.

It’s a good filter in any case, a pizzeria; even if you could impress her with more, now you are free of her; otherwise, we might be making fun of KyLIE and Henri instead of KyLIE and Guido

One of my favourite restaurant in Rome is “a modest pizzeria near the Pantheon”, a small family ristorante.
I ate two of these at one sitting, one last night in Rome, given it was my last chance. The next year I came back, the owner remembered my order (and probably that I ate two!)

Thank you @nostoneunturned. When I realized my affections were unrequited I took myself off to Salzburg in Austria to recover as I find being in nature very healing. I guess I kind of hoped K might follow me given that she likes Julie Andrews and the Sound of Music so much but she didn't. While there, I read a psychology of love and realized I was suffering from the effects of 'cristallisation'. I still feel a little delicate after the experience and that she should have rejected my offer of pizza. Moving forward, I must protect my heart.@HenriBeyle
