sorry to labour the point @Alessandro but I am still cracking up over your using the word poncy. I cannot quite remember which words they were, but in the past but you have used vocabulary which has surprised and delighted me. I've just looked up the word Ponce in the Urban dictionary, as part of British slang. This example is insane ... in true Qatar fashion I've had to edit some of the language in it, lest it cause offence ... but how funny is this? I've never heard this sort of conversation in my life!

During the scene where they are opening the pottery I find it hilarious that Kylie says that she doesn't like "too colorful" and G says he agrees, but then they get to the second set and she's like, these are more colorful, but not too bad... they have like 5 different colors on them! The pressure towards G from Kylie to support and agree with her was unreal, but then I was thinking he must not have any idea what to agree with... contradictions galore.

Horror story (off-topic! ignore if you're not interested): My first job here was at a kindergarten through middle school after school academy where I had been hired to replace a teacher who had been fired. Getting to know the director before fhe first day of work, she said I should make sure to not come home drunk or go out partying because that's why she had fired the last teacher--cut to the first day of classes and guess who is training me how to teach... the teacher who had been fired
Four months later that director sold the academy to another owner and I willingly invalidated my contract to start working in a public school. She also broke into my apartment multiple times without my permission... once to show it to two ladies who were possibly going to rent it from her. Hope you all have a great day!

I would be interested to know too, I will try and see if I can find the video she mentioned it in, I would imagine she would do well in the interview then initially impress (male) students as she is obviously attractive, but would end up being complained about tbh/or just quitting as she doesn;t like real work.You're probably right about that!

wow that is insane! Scandals with language schools here (in my experience) tend to be boring things like issuing visas fradulently (I have briefly worked in 2 such places..)
Yeah, definitely link the video if you can find it! I'd be interested to hear how she words it even. The thing about teaching is it's quite obvious over time whether you're suceeding... might be a bit horrible of me, but like her desire to be a high-class escort or prostituta (I have absolutely nothing against escorts or prostitutes), I wouldn't be surprised if her clientele were possibly adult (mostly male) students who wanted to be taught by a good looking woman. In other words, not actually interested in learning English lol. I cannot imagine Kylie sitting down with a child or group of children and teaching them something... any videos where she has inteacted with kids in any capacity? Do children ruin the "dream" of Italian life?

Didn’t she mention once that she taught English to a Priest who was having a crisis of faith or something. Maybe the infamous midriff was causing a crisis of faith! Don’t know why I think this but so many of Kylie’s stories have percolated into my mind. Denise has a wonderful talent for finding them with some precision

I really don't think she ever worked for a school (just a hunch), but likely did private lessons via connections. I know when I first arrived in Italy and started teaching, so many "friends of friends", neighbours etc felt like they suddenly needed to learn English lol. I don't know why, but I def imagine her doing one on ones with male admirerers.

Here is some info (link below), or at least Kylie's "advice" about teaching. It seems she has done quite a bit ...plus babysitting? Of course we know she likes to embellish and twist things.
Her comments about Milan show she has never been or went around blindly. There is a lot of history and amazing architecture. Kylie the know nothing, rather than knowitall.

I’ve seen her use this phrase before, “gratuitous beauty”; does she even know what it means ? I don’t.
Gratuitous: “done without good reason; uncalled for” is the dictionary definition.
Fido’s explanation for “intentionally not answering” inquiries about the restaurant is pathetic. He states that he is working out an “exit strategy” for the current renters. Is he renting out a space that the current renters have not vacated ? He says they are also working on a “cost schedule”; excuse me, I thought the pricing had been established at €2000 per month, inclusive of the restaurant.
If so, they are changing the price, now that they see that restaurants can open and they may have a problem with the current tenant wanting to stay as well.
The roof is only being done now, so, the deal, before, was this ? You can rent the property without a roof, with a restaurant not allowed to be open and with a current renter who has not willingly vacated ?

“Gratuitous beauty” Using this terminology would appear to be a signal to those followers who share a "creationist account of the universe".
Could the announcement several flogs back regarding the restaurant property be a trial balloon to accumulate data for finance/refinance/data modelling to justify the renovation expenditure and the 50-70% (was that correct) gov't reimbursement.
And/or some sort of paperwork necessary to receive funds/grants/loans? No feedback to followers necessary at this point....
Referring to a previous episode in NYC: anyone who works in NYC media would not hire K-----y based on the showreel with the jazz stuff (watched with no sound) due to such things as: technically poor framing for the interview (taking up 2/3 screen for interviewer), feet on bed, constant hair shooshing (sp.?), and sultry narcissistic eye contact with the camera, interview subject seems uncomfortable, cliche locations..... etc.
NYC women in media biz are as together as astronauts, professional and never insert themselves into work with T&A like that because if they were to do that their client would not pay them (unless they are intending to narfle the garthok <look it up

Lol about the babysitting, however I had a close friend from school move to Italy to be a live in nanny, so I can imagine that's more common than would be expected elsewhere.
Those two move to italy videos were the first ones I saw by her and I'm sure she did mention teaching at some point, but without many details... like the thing about Milan, it made me feel like she hadn't really done it. Honestly during those videos I was okay for about the first 5 minutes and then I realized the camera kept zooming in on her face from this bizarre angle in her apartment (I was working on a project at the time, so just had it on as background noise). And then there's the midriff shots and strange accent. I don't really care about the midriff stuff or wearing nice clothes... though don't really need to see it either. It's her personality and superiority about topics that she claims to know a lot about that bothers me.
I think her saying she's a great lover of the arts and implying she has seen so many operas, artworks, etc. was from the beginning of this video too. As it was my first video I expected she would substantiate those claims later in the video, but nope! Left with the impression that she probably has seen an opera or two, but probably didn't care enough to remember the name or the performers' names. Maybe it's unfair of me to expect that a youtuber do this, but I feel like most might mention what they saw and if they recommend it or not.

My guess is this might be to light a fire under his ass and actually get started on this project that would benefit her youtube channel and attract viewers. Renovation of old buildings is certainly something that I'd be interested in viewing under normal circumstances, and I think she knows she can generate revenue by taking on a project like this.
