Hi Lucy, welcome! Just curious as to what initially made you doubt her authenticity? A lot of us here have wondered if others see what we see or rather why not.

Thank you for welcoming me. I doubted her authenticity after it became clear she was in a relationship with Guido and her work became lazy if that makes sense. I suddenly saw that she was not as passionate as she claimed. Also my father is a psychiatrist and he was dubious about her helping suicidal youngsters and advised me to be careful.

Kylie is such a fraud... As I stated before I think in the first thread... Her time is almost up... If you are a foreign freelancer/influencer you will need to pay the country that you reside in taxes as well as the U.S. since she is "promoting" not "promoting" American companies. Patreon is an American company and all account holders should be paying U.S. taxes... Also her not stating her "paid partnerships" will most definitely catch up to her since many countries and companies are cracking down on "influencers" and their sponsorships on social media. It is misleading to the public if you are promoting and getting paid for a product and not disclosing it (#ad/#paidpartnernship/#sponsor).

Her Patreon numbers did drop dramatically... I remember when she had over 840+. Also, her youtube numbers and income (money from ads) must have dropped for her to do such a long 40-minute youtube video. The amount of views + the amount of watch time (the length you watch the video without clicking to another video) determines how much you make on Youtube ads...

Lastly, I think many Italians are aware of the Kylie scam... I see other Italian YouTubers and Bloggers and post about how "certain" Youtube influencers (with 200K + subscribers) romanticize Italy and are not portraying living in the most realistic way... especially during the pandemic and the current economic situation...

Let alone the marriage circus, I'm sorry Disney, show... I give Guido less than 5 years before the money runs out or she finds another "rich man" tic tok.

I don’t think any of our comments should have to gauge whether it “sits comfortably” with anyone. No one should have to defend their freely expressed and honest comments.

I have no doubt that some of my posts did not meet with absolutely everyone’s approval; they are not meant to.

When you asked Antonio if he was a “lady” because he expressed interest in your children’s book, it made me very uncomfortable, but no one chastised you and they could have.

There are no hall monitors here and that is why this forum is so rich in diversity and expression.

As far as the Flavell’s, why are you defending them ? As far as I can see, they are as much free loaders, if not more, as their daughter, KyLIE, just as I think that Guido is a willing participant in the Patreon haul.

It is my definite impression and it doesn’t matter to me if anyone else agrees with it or not.

Good point about the butcher etc @emm. It's odd she has never used things like that for content. She has mentioned a few times she 'forms relationships' with these people, so why not "show how to order?" or talk about cuts, where they source etc? So much opportunity lost.

Exactly. I don't think either, but Guido especially, want to act as hosts. His mother does this with the Scandicci property, so I wonder if they hope she will do the bookings there, too? Too bad many will expect Kylie on call, and as you mentioned, if she is going to be "the face" of it and managing in any way she will have to interact and be available for any problems.

Kylie is so precious about herself and absurdly pretentious, its hard to imagine her bothering to deal with guests @Denise0211 The Coop also appears to be just below thé windows of thé main house, how will she escape them? Her ‘followers’ will definitely expect friendship, dinners, tête-à-tête confidences, tours of thé local towns etc

@emm KyLie and Guido’s babytalk and fake posh accents (he seems to be copying hèrs and vice versa) are really embarrassing and makes them even more unlikeable than they already are. In fact, it sounds so phony and feigned thé way they are talking to each other that surely it is only done only while she is vidéoing herself and thé Purse together?!

I wonder too if there was any pushback by Guido about her Amalfi vidéo and all thé guys she was showing herself with? Italians are particularly jealous and really wouldn’t like this. Or is thé Patreon money enough to silence him?

They would have to learn that in Italy you must wait , if you want to join the slow movement . Guidos purse can only fit one hand In it for the extraction of coins for cracked pots And rusty table legs.
Do you suppose the Patreon clams where exchanged for the ceramic seconds ? Ffs why did she buy the seconds ? @Alessandro , if ya gonna splash the cash K just buy the good ones ugh insufferable , I try not to imagine K and Gweeds whenever possible.

Yeah thought thé same, why the seconds @nostoneunturned ? Surely she has thé cash and she was with thé mother-in-law who présumably knows thé ceramic shop well so there would already be a discount. She no doubt did it to cry poor for thé PatreonsLest they think their hard-earned dollars are going towards décorating Guido’s house! Kylie probably had a whole set of other pottery she bought that was a lot more expensive than she certainly was not going to show in thé flog Thé seconds were just set décoration.

If you look at this around 20:15, K. speaks about cultural stereotypes; her tone of voice when she says that she is Australian but doesn't drink at all sounds frightfully smug imo.

How annoying listening to her;

1) her national stereotypes about Australians, just as she makes the opposite point that people are individually different within Iran,

2) she uses her somewhat normal voice, not the faux Audrey Hepburn she uses now,

3) around 20:40, she interviews an Iranian woman and she talks about HER own work, how very hard it is, why should she work so hard !

4) she interviews this lady and dominates the conversation, instead of listening and learning,

5) she wears, as a badge of honour, that she doesn’t drink, looking for validation from someone else, as if she fits into THAT culture, another stereotype.

KyLIE is so out of touch, she really has problems.

I know I probably share far too much personal stuff on here, but if I seemed somewhat out of sorts, yesterday was a difficult day for me. It always has been a difficult day for the past few years as it would have been the anniversary of my wedding day. A bit of culture to add to the mix, my undergrad. degree was in English Literature and French, and I began a Masters in English Lit which I did not complete. I was a big fan of Thomas Hardy back in the day, especially the novel, and then the Polanski movie, Tess of the D'Urbervilles. I have always found the passage, quoted below, from Tess striking:

More prosaically, is anyone experiencing difficulties and extreme slowness on the Tattle pages when using a laptop? I keep getting lots of pop-up ads and messages saying that the page is being constantly reloaded because it’s using up too much memory on my machine.

In fact, she DOES name the towns she visits, she just doesn’t talk about anything but herself when she travels, which is rarely, now that she has changed her career from “escort” to country housewife.

Where did she get the notion that she can change history, the economy, mass travel patterns ? What’s she doing running an inconsequential vlog if she can do that; she should become President of Italy, Finance Minister, at least head of the Italian Tourism Bureau.

Maybe she should first finish her chicken coop and pigsty renos (or knock downs) to accommodate the massive influx of travellers needing a place to stay.

Here is George saying that Kylie’s vlogs reminds him of the work of Visconti, Fellini etc without realising she is just copying everything they do @Spirit of place. Then he says not only do the Patreons have to put up with sub-standard videos he also wants them to do the work for her as wellThis guy obviously doesn’t work in “the film and TV business” as he says because he would know that scripts take a huge amount of time and work and also should be copyrighted. The people that make these comments under her vlogs are living on another planet

I felt my eye actually twitch reading that. Ingrid Bergman was able to to improvise and be incandescent because she was INGRID BERGMAN. If I recall correctly Ingrid very much disliked this method. I feel like this dude would’ve encouraged her to seek out Ennio Morricone to score it for her if he was still with us.

I did enjoy the part where he encourages Kylie to essentially steal intellectual property from her Patrons.

I imagine any kind of spontaneous series making like that from Kylie would end up as more of a Herzog guerilla style shoot where you end up eating live maggots and wrestling with snakes for the realism.

Kylie’s lost more than a hundred Patreons @Rina Valtellina and must be desperate to keep the cash rolling in for those midriff tops and floral dresses. Thus the wax-stamped letters and canisters of oil. I imagine it’s only for those who pay her the most I wonder how the others who don’t receive anything feel? I remember one of our members here was paying quite a lot a month (was it 80€?) as a Patreon and she didn’t receive anything (and what K promised didn’t arrive) and Kylie didn’t even reply to her comments...

The place looks in the middle of nowhere @emm and as we know was used by the family as a summer holiday home. What could guests even do there?! Kylie seems to have convinced Purse to live there full time (for her own motives) even though it’s going to be pretty isolated in winter and a long way from his office. I don’t think she liked living in the apartment in the family compound close to Florence and there was nowhere there to house her FF parents...For sure, the “romance” was fast and because of Covid she seems to have used that as an excuse to move out of Florence and in with him ASAP....It‘s no fun living with a Narc as Guido is discovering...

definitely, I feel bad for him (to an extent, to an extent he has made his decision) but his commute (assuming he has to go to the office, which i assume he does with their bad internet) must be awful
About tourists staying there.... not even a swimming pool or anything for summer... not my idea of a nice holiday, I wouldn;t imagine loads of people love driving on unlit roads in a foreign country to go out etc.
