Yes, that dog would be poorly trained and they would end up "re-homing" or putting in a shelter because they can't handle it. This is what angers me, a pet is a LONG-TERM commitment. You just don't go into "oh I want a dog or I want a cat" without really thinking about it. I had a dog for 10 years and I had 2 cats for 17 years! That's a long time and lots of dedication to their care. These two dimwits are NOT capable of providing that for whatever dog or pet they get!! That dog will suffer if not trained correctly, it will anger him and blame it all on CaSey. This is a lose-lose situation. To get a DOG just to FILM, is ignorant. It's not a "stuffed animal" to attach to CaSey's purse, it's a living thing. BE RESPONSIBLE AHOLES. My 2 cents for today. It's so crazy to me that these 30-somethings talk about a dog like it's this huge deal and he has to rationalize it as a stepping stone before kids. My guy, you're 32 years old. The fact that neither of them are confident that they can take care of a dog means they have no business owning one. Imagine spending 3-4 years together arguing and debating about a dog because they're unsure if they can handle the responsibility. They can't even keep a plant alive.
He doesn't have the "patience pants" to train a puppy. It requires a lot of work of patience. He would get frustrated & bored within 2 minutes and his ADHD would kick in. And we know he's too cheap to hire a trainer. That dog would be so poorly trained.
