No the weight concern obviously isn’t something either Brian or Jessica want to shed light on. Both are very overweight and Jessica’s arms look enormous so hate to think what her lower body is like!
Brian looks like a typical slob with greasy hair and an obese body. Not taking pride in their appearance says a lot about both of them.
Brian with his stay at home job … what a lazy guy! He doesn’t have a specific job, just bits and bobs and sitting in front of the computer. The child they have will be learning bad habits and now they think bringing another into this world is a good choice. Anyway let’s see how that pans out given they only have two frozen embryos so that’s no assurance of another viable pregnancy.

A health scare like they have both had would usually be enough for most people to get fit and healthy. Given this pair are even bigger now from what we see they obviously don’t put a value on longevity.
Actually fact check here (Hi Brian I am sure he would confirm this) he was once over 500 lbs and I think now is in. upper 300's. Jessica also was much bigger and seems to have kept some of the weight off.. They have pictures posted from older videos before they were married...it was shocking. It still is for me with Brian. He was told he HAS TO LOSE weight now with only one kidney and so far has done nothing that I can see.

I find it hilarious that they come here to read comments. I'm finding more and more that many YT health influencers or lifestyle influencers are weird people. And there's often a hidden agenda. Many are just out to make money. They like to pretend their subs are all part of a big happy family. But the reality is, most of these YT people could care less about their subs. Not true of all of them, for sure. But too many are just like that.

Here is the before and after of Brian...clearly he has gone up from 2020

I think many have mental health issues and social media is like a comfort and friend to them.
I don’t see Brian and Jessica having loads of friends so I would rather see them put an effort into making some solid friendships (not necessarily Tess!) and working towards some firm commitment to their weight and health. It’s not like they are some big time influencers and let’s be honest … who would want to model their life off Brian or Jessica?

Wow … morbid obesity. He’s sure lucky he’s still walking and talking and breathing fresh air. Many are dead or invalids by his age when that overweight.
Hopefully he’s not headed back there. Lazing around at home is a flag for him. Would be good for his self esteem to get up and dress to go out to work with other like minded people whereby he’s not lazing around a house adopting poor habits. Obviously with a history of morbid obesity he has had significant mental health issues to eat himself to that weight. I’m not so sure he’s 100% better. Surely the cancer was another wake up call. So many reasons not to rush into another child.

OMG. He was morbidly obese. He's now just obese. And after his cancer diagnosis, this is absurd!
In general I am not comfortable talking about people's weight as I am far from perfect myself...however it is fair game to my way of thinking when the people involved discuss it in a public forum and seem to be comfortable with the situation (shown by lack of actionplan). In the case of the Krocks Brian said himself that a lifetime of obesity may well have contributed to his cancer. Also they invite comments as they expose a way of eating that frankly seems to not be doing much for their bodies or health. Mayo has dieticians and I am sure they could get a consult.

I don't think Brians weight will play any part of him having a RCC recurrence or not. Many of the kidney cancer treatments induce cancer cachexia and studies actually suggest that overweight patients have longer overall survival. Slimmer patients seem to develop cachexia from TKI's and can decline quite quickly.
If I remember correctly Brian had his whole Kidney removed? It wasn't a partial nephrectomy? I would be extremely concerned about that one Kidney now doing the work of 2 kidneys.
If having confirmed RCC hasn't caused him to think about his weight then I don't know what will!

Last night Jessica came on camera alone to talk about her plans to lose weight. It was sort of funny as one of her plans is to watch daily from the start a video from their channel ...from the beginning when they were losing weight and she invited the viewers to join her in doing that.. She then quickly denied that she was just trying to drive up views on the channel. Then that followed with a plug for IG and all their platforms. I think that $$ are motivating the return. She did blame the "vegan" style junk food as being one of the major problems for losing weight and I would agree with that. People think if something is "large free" or "low large" or "vegan" etc you can eat an unlimited amount.

Obesity is a medical problem that needs medical treatment. With prescription meds like Ozempic and Mounjaro available (though ridiculously expensive) it is no longer necessary to have gastric surgery for obesity. There are people who have lost 100 pounds on these meds and they are keeping it off. Never before has something this effective been available for obesity.

People taking these obesity meds will live longer because of how weight loss reduces blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and other complications of obesity. So there will be less strokes, heart attacks, osteoarthritis, heart disease and lower incidence of certain cancers.

There are many r easons why certain people cannot take those drugs...one big one has to do with compromised kidney function so that would probably mean Brian would not be a good candidate for these drugs.

Obesity is predominantly caused by overeating, bad diet and no exercise. It also goes hand in hand with mental illness.
Drs and allied medical staff are usually very reluctant to fix the outside problem when the actual issue is within - taking drugs and undergoing surgery for obesity will not fix the core underlying issue if diet and mindset aren’t first addressed or you will just end up back where you started.
A new coat of paint might make the house look good but if white ants are eating its foundation, the paints just a darn waste of time and money!

If becoming a father the first time wasn’t reason enough for Brian to do whatever is necessary to beat his obesity, I guess nothing is. Reminds me of the people who refused the COVID 19 vaccines who ended up hospitalized. Doctors I follow online shared that many of their unvaccinated hospitalized patients were begging for the vaccine once they realized they might die. Of course that was too late for them.

Posting separate videos to address their individual weight loss plans is interesting.
Jessica does go to work, so already having dedicated routine may help her get some solid structure into her weight loss strategy.
Brian looks like a proper ‘gunna’ … he’s gunna do this and gunna do that but words speak louder than action for this big boy!
Another baby in this family will be the catalyst for these two to become tired lazy and overweight again. If having Elsie wasn’t enough for them to restructure their lives in a positive direction, then adding another baby will certainly test everyone!

Yes, 'gunna' start tomorrow, I'll start to ride the bike soon etc. Hmmm. Just saying things he clearly isn't doing now OR in the future. I'm disappointed in him, he knows what he needs to do, his survival and life as a father depends on it but still making excuses and putting it off.

I am disappointed in them for using Elsie for clicks on IG. Most recent is Elsie looking out over the skyline of Rochester so by now they have new scan results. Hope all is going well for them and I do appreciate that they update. It is a bit surreal that both have now a history of cancer and need frequent scans. I assume if Brian meets with a member of his team the topic of weight might come up as it was discussed with surgeon. They have to keep a close eye on remaining kidney function.

Interesting there is another new study which is current and modern linking diet to depression and increased incidence of mental health issues.
I believe Brian and Jessica have both suffered from mental health problems in the past which is alarming for Elsie to the future given many traits influencing mental health predisposition are passed on in our genetics.
I wonder how much the unhealthy diet these two obviously enjoy contributes to their mental outlook.
I doubt Brian will even be around to see Elsie & Co grow up if he doesn’t make some radical lifestyle changes in the near future … he has shown a poor track record to date and that was despite having a healthy daughter to encourage him to get fit, not to mention cancer.
A train wreck in the making! Hope Jessica can stay focused despite having little partner support and encouragement. It would be difficult to take Brian’s support seriously when you were looking at a human barge!

New vlog today. They both got clean scans at Mayo and the embryo transplant will be happening soon.

Just came here to report the same. All systems are go with Tess immediately for the embryo transplant. A big risk for all involved.

Huge risk agreed. It’s very early days when you are on regular scanning every 4 months. Even the ‘inflammation’ in Brian’s small intestine is a worry given his history of cancer.
It would be beneficial to know if either of their cancers, or even both perhaps contained the mutation to be passed on to offspring. I know this can be looked into so children of parents who died or had cancer can be identified as at risk and monitored during their lifetime.
If Brian is going to be the stay at home dad for all their kids … good luck to that! He will need some additional willpower for a complete makeover given they even harp on about needing naps after just some travel and appointments!
