Really nice to see Tess (Jessica's cousin and surrogate) and her husband Jeff. What an incredible, loving, and selfless couple Tess and Jeff are. Not only did Tess offer to carry Jessica and Brian's baby, but her husband Jeff donated a kidney to a stranger. 🥲 Incredible people. Very happy for Jessica and Brian. Not much longer for them to go now before meeting baby Elsie. Oh and I loved Tess's t-shirt.

I think of the Krocks just like others who put their lives intentionally onto social media for an easy buck.
It might be cool to be a ‘Krock in the Kitchen’ but it sure isn’t cool to be 2ft high and 6ft wide in the kitchen bragging about plant based diet, especially when taking their cancer diagnoses into consideration.
Anyone would think these two would show the world (given they themselves have chosen to share their life)
how seriously they have taken their health stories and how they have moved forward to become the best and healthiest version of themselves they could … but no, these two want to sit, get w..i..d..e..r.. and cry over non viable embryos despite having a healthy living child. (Who should be their entire focus, but isn’t)
They are just showing themselves as desperados who really place no value on their health or their longevity to even be around long term for the child they have.
I can’t feel sorry for them. They are shameful !

That's good to know. Thank you Saydee, your input is excellent. I found support and information to be minimal 7 years ago for families. Unless you are in the appointment with your loved one then you are left with the official doctors letters amd not much more.

I've seen the photos of the house when it was for sale. It looks perfectly fine. The listing says 2 bathrooms. I think a full bathroom upstairs and another in the finished basement. How can 2 toilets break at once? Can't they afford a plumber?

One thing I found interesting in the "Live" is the absence of "super chats" where you can ask a question and make a donation. I have watched their lives before and they took in significant donations...some of which YT takes but a nice profitable hour. I saw the "super chat" was enabled but don't recall any coming in. I think the motivation for a "live" is getting those chats rolling in. Maybe I am all off on that but what comes to my mind when I see a creator doing lives.

Agree 100%. As some of those viewers were talking about "on line" shower I thought to my self how many family and friends showers I have gone to and I certainly would have to pass on one for a stranger online!!!!

Also, good on them for becoming more healthy and changing their lifestyle. And for trying to stay on track.

I have always been of the opinion that the more extreme the diet you are on the more likely you will go off. Just a good balanced diet with lots of fish and chicken (non red meat) and veggies really works long term. Just my opinion. Needs to be simple and sustainable. Plant based can be fine but some of the potato and other extreme diets Krocks have been on are not sustainable. And exercise of course is important.

Yup. I've followed them since the beginning of the channel. Knowing Jessica's mental health issues before, during and after the cancer ordeal I think the timing on this surrogacy is just kinda strange.

Yeah, I mean I guess since she said she was NED, then that means they looked at her liver and didn't see anything after all. Especially since her doctors were specifically concerned with that organ, I don't think they would overlook it. I guess I just still expected her to flat out say "turns out there was no cancer in my liver" but maybe she assumes that it should go without saying.

I think they decided they were keratin granulomas in the liver.

Thank you Leonor for opening this thread. I have only followed them since she had the bike accident and then the diagnosis.Not someone that seeks out cooking channels although some of Brian's recipes do look good.I was and am leery of a TL thread for them and hope it can avoid some of the speculation of the Jenny forum. Yep the timing when you consider when this process began it is really fast....I think it is planned as I do believe they are realists and know something can come up again.The intention it seems from some of Jessica's own words are for Brian to raise the child if Jessica were not here. They now have a better situation and hopeful they can both be here for Elsie. I hope they don't find this channel but they no doubt will.

Hi all I didnt watch many of the K videos but I was really impressed with how Brian explained what was happening, he read aloud the actual path reports (which can be kinda daunting to folks not familiar with medical terminology) and at least once showed the actual radiology images. While I understand why they went for a second opinion at Mayo, what I don't understand is why they chose to receive the chemo there. I thought at first that Mayo had offered them a novel treatment (maybe some new drug that had recently been approved by the FDA) or heck ... had a clinical trial that Jessica was eligible to enroll in. But no, she received carbo/taxol which is the garden variety standard of care. Any medical oncologist in the St Louis area could have treated her with carbo/taxol, with the gyne onc at Mayo kept informed of her progress towards the planned surgery at Mayo. Why make those long drives to Mayo while accruing all of the extra expenses? At the time I didn't know that Brian had lost his job ... which makes any extra spending more questionable. [At work we recently had a 30- something patient dx with a widespread Stage 4 colon cancer. The patient received chemo with us then had surgery and HIPEC at a hospital on the other side of the country). So it can be done. Maybe I should see if this person has a YT channel, I'm only half joking . Jeez at some point this could happen...I'll see one of our actual patients on the YT.

As for the chemo we live In Minneapolis less than 2hours from Mayo and I know at least for most cases they recommend you have the chemo at home...much easier for those that experience side effects. They are fine with that...why Jessie chose to return there for each treatment I don't know but may be other factors ...I do know they prefer to do their own scans/mri tests etc. Maybe insurance issues...really not a big issue...they drove and stayed in modest accommodations.

A bit more on unusual colons .. I have a friend who has GI issues and has to undergo colonoscopies more frequently. Her colon is atypical (I can't remember if she told me why) so for her colonoscopies she has to do a 2-day prep. Ugh. Maybe she has a redundant colon like Brian, she is slightly overweight now, I don't know if she was heavier in the past. Her next colonoscopy is actually this week, unless she's rescheduled it again. She also wants to refuse the sedation each time but her GI says nope.

I've been wondering about what Jessica said about the cousin. She said she was to have ablation procedure before but decided against it in case she could help someone in the future have a baby since she still had working parts. And I think she said the cousin actually offered first, 'out of the blue'. Is this a common thing, to put off a procedure in the off chance you will carry someone's baby down the road?

I watched a bit of this "part 2" and it is remarkable to watch especially Brian who cannot move from the chair to pick up things...he rolls it around to try to reach but simply cannot and will not move out of the chair. As usual it is questionable who is more pathetic those who post something like this or those that watch?
