I’m sorry about your condition and I’m sorry about what you’re going through and I’m glad you can joke about it because it helps you through it.I didn't even know she had one until I saw it here tbh. If joking about it removes the stigma that's in this country around abortion than so be it.
I can't have kids but I'd never judge someone for having one and doing what they need to do. A pregnancy would kill me because of a medical condition so I take every single precaution I can and I live in absolute fear that one day they'll fail because I know how judgemental people are. Do I joke about my condition? hell yeah I do because joking is a coping mechanism for some people. Maybe she'd be better off seeing a therapist or someone to work through it but yeah, in this case I'm going with letting her make her joke. Putting it on tiktok is also just a way to gain attention and by the looks of the comments sections - goal achieved, lots of lovely engagement from the comments giving her hate.
Except Niamh uses it as an excuse for many things and that’s NOT right and can be very offensive to many people. She uses it as an explanation for why she does what she does and why she is who she is. It’s very insensitive. For example I’ve been through certain things in my life (as everyone has I’m sure) and dark humour helps me cope with it, but I only ever ‘joke’ about it around very very certain people who know me well and understand that’s how I cope as I know it can offend and hurt people and can be picked up the wrong way.
All power to her for bringing up abortion but the way she brought it up many times is questionable.
