According to their statement, they displayed a flag thrown on the stage so didn’t bring the flag themselves. It’s interesting that the CPS have gone with that as the charge rather than anything they have said.
I’ve heard that’s true. I had tickets for the gig in question at the Kentish Town forum, but didn’t go, but a few of my friends went and said she thinks it was thrown on. Lots of flags were. I wonder if the full footage will appear.According to their statement, they displayed a flag thrown on the stage so didn’t bring the flag themselves. There’s nothing to say the couple killed were in favour of Netanyahu’s regime ? You can’t just ditch your nationalityI don't like some of the placards I've seen in protests outside unis. It's intimidating and hostile for Jewish students. Thinking this doesn't mean I'm in favour of dying babies and slaughtered civilians.
Exactly why Lammy’s statement ( among others) holds no water , imo !According to their statement, they displayed a flag thrown on the stage so didn’t bring the flag themselves. It’s interesting that the CPS have gone with that as the charge rather than anything they have said.
I don’t know if legally it makes any difference but the charge seems more ridiculous if that’s the case. To me there is a big difference between picking something up thrown at/near you and buying and waving something around.I’ve heard that’s true. Well I guess they did wave it around, technically. But it wasn’t planned or part of the act?I don’t know if legally it makes any difference but the charge seems more ridiculous if that’s the case. They’ll be coming for everyone in attendance nextI’ve heard that’s true. I had tickets for the gig in question at the Kentish Town forum, but didn’t go, but a few of my friends went and said she thinks it was thrown on. Lots of flags were. I wonder if the full footage will appear.
I think you mightve quoted the wrong post cos I said nothing about them. Terrible thing that. There’s nothing to say the couple killed were in favour of Netanyahu’s regime ? You can’t just ditch your nationality![]()
That's why I think it's lunacy to charge him. As you say, is just edgelord PR stunt behaviour. They should go after the extremists funnelling money to Hezbollah not someone going for a spur of the moment provocative punk belligerence onstage.I like Kneecap but it's literally well known that it's a criminal offence to publicly support or endorse a proscribed terrorist organisation.
It's not a crime, however, to voice support for the Palestinian people, and it's possible to do one without the other
I'm a bit of a free speech absolutist, so I personally don't give that much of a tit what anyone says. Individuals are entitled to their views whether I like it or not. However, this is edgelord, publicity seeking behaviour (and has been successful!).
I don't think you can claim to give a duck about women and children and then be flying the flag for Hamas, figuratively or otherwise.
Also, 9.1 million people in Syria are on the brink of starvation (if not already there) due to the actions of the EU (among others). I'm not usually one for whataboutery but it seems very odd the obsession with Israel and Palestine while many more staving victims of war, exacerbated (or, indirectly created) by the same agents involved in Israel/Palestine are largely ignored elsewhere.
Well nobody is cancelling them anyway![]()
Yeah, this gig has just been announced as they’re in London headlining a festival tomorrow. Wish I still lived in London!Guess who’s back in the news, it’s your favourite Republican hoods
The British government have just elevated their profile and credibilitySláinte

According to the Irish Independent, a fine is most likely.Yeah, this gig has just been announced as they’re in London headlining a festival tomorrow. Wish I still lived in London!
I wonder what will happen at the trial, I really don’t know which way it will go but assume he won’t be put in prison.
it’s an absolute tune, I’ve had them on all day on low - get them streaming figures even higher. Might watch kneecap when I get back home too!
Yeah I guess so. A criminal record means they won’t be able to travel as freely so that’s probably the plan.According to the Irish Independent, a fine is most likely.
It’s just you stated being pro Jewish doesn’t mean you’re anti Palestinian…It shouldn’t make you a target like the couple murdered.I think you mightve quoted the wrong post cos I said nothing about them. Terrible thing that.
I wouldn’t count your chickens too soon this is bound to be an example making trial.Yeah, this gig has just been announced as they’re in London headlining a festival tomorrow. Wish I still lived in London!

Aye, it's just a bit of a farce really. Sums up the British justice system at the moment. That's why I think it's lunacy to charge him. As you say, is just edgelord PR stunt behaviour.
