Also, 9.1 million people in Syria are on the brink of starvation (if not already there) due to the actions of the EU (among others). I'm not usually one for whataboutery but it seems very odd the obsession with Israel and Palestine while many more staving victims of war, exacerbated (or, indirectly created) by the same agents involved in Israel/Palestine are largely ignored elsewhere.
It's very different imo. Syrians aren't trapped in a literal concentration camp, while being bombed daily, living in rubble with all the infrastructure destroyed - including hospitals. With masses of aid piled up at its borders being refused entry. This is man made starvation, it's a huge crime (one upon many) and we should in no way be aiding or abetting it, even if just from a legal standpoint.

I just can't get worked up about the GFM. If people want to donate to support Liam then let them carry on. Many will probably want to show support as they agree with free Palestine/a unified Ireland so will donate because they agree with what Kneecap speak up about. Have you seen his legal team? That won't be cheap. As well as the donations already mentioned above they also gave away the £14k arts grant damages pay out to two charities. I love what they have to say, love their music and love what they stand for, I can quite easily see why people would want to support a GFM whether the lads have plenty of money or not. I do TOTALLY get where you're coming from as GFM has definitely been tainted by all the grifters but in this instance I don't mind it too much

I am not sure they are at the stage of making big bucks just yet. Their gigs are selling out but it’s not huge, huge venues, costs of putting on shows, and they have been pulled from a number of festivals. BBC have taken them off airplay.

What a huge waste of money, immoral, unethical … because the government didn’t like words.

What a boring bunch of bastards to turn a thread about a band displaying a Hezbollah flag and what came afterwards, into Rangers v Celtic.

Scarlet for you all.
Says the one who tried to bring asylum seekers into the discussion. Scarlet indeed.

I know f*ck all about football (apart from the fact that Rangers are shite 😉) but it’s all relevant and Kneecap themselves posted about Rangers so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Like I said earlier the Palestinian flag has taken on a new meaning , it’s not a symbol of struggle any longer more one of resistance ,that won’t sit right with everyone .
They're resisting their own extermination, and if that doesn't 'sit right' with certain people, it says more about them than it does about the Palestinians.

I find it baffling that they took the UK gov to court to get money. I guess funding the arts is very open to interpretation.

Someone got banned on tattle for saying something in a similar vein about wishing MPs of a certain party should be killed - this isn't twitter or facebook! I'm sure they ran off elsewhere to bemoan about "power crazy mods banned for absolutely no reason" . But that kind of talk is disgusting and it's so prevalent on the big tech social media that people think it's OK, when it really isn't.
Re the part in bold, it just speaks to what we’ve become that people who are so clearly against us - even these buffoons with their ‘get the Brits out’ chants are taking tax payers money!

Another example of what happens when you dare to speak the truth.

And he’s Jewish, so can’t be called “antisemitism” .

Fair play to him at his age. A lot of well known people could take a leaf out of his book. Don’t agree with all he stands for personally, but he’s very vocal about issues he cares about.

Such a good show and wonderful cross section of fans too. The pit looked a lot so I'm glad to have been up in the balconies.

More and more people know about Kneecap now, more people are sympathetic to their cause. Whatever happens they will be the winners. I agree it’s ridiculous that this money and energy (which we are always told is tight), isn’t being spent on actual threats to security.
Yes, this and that the English will never understand the Irish. Even if they want to (which I don’t think they really do).

Seen this on X yesterday. I was busy clutching my pearls but I do hope someone informed the counter terrorism police.

I feel sick every time their names come up…even sicker that they are playing a gig on October 7th. They couldn’t give a toss how much damage they do to the lives of strangers as long as they get the attention they crave and money keeps rolling in. Not a single person is talking about their music - only how the big, scary Jewish conspiracy is trying to stifle their ‘freedom of speech’. The damage they and countless others have done to our communities is beyond comprehension. One of them is nearly 40 and wearing a tricolour tea cosy whilst wrapping himself in the flag of a movement that is doing a lot more than just knee-capping actual Gazans for wanting Hamas to release hostages and bring this to an end. Honestly, stepped in dog shit with more integrity.

They were immense last night! Was great seeing them in a wee venue again. 🥰 I got home last night to find they had announced another 2 gigs in Glasgow tonight, so, I'm currently getting organised for Round 2! I'm too old for this madness!😂

They seem like immature edgelords who have important messages drowned by childish tactics.
I’ve also read that one of them has been accused of sexual assault which is worrying.
