Wondering if someone who has maybe had a baby could give me more insight - Keira posted a story today saying that she's probably going to have to cancel her hair appointment because the baby will be napping at that time.

Surely isn't that the best outcome? The baby is napping whilst you're doing something else. Can't Alex deal with the baby if anything happens whilst she's away? I don't understand but also have never had a baby so..

Thinking about it, I wonder if this is her way of overcompensating for the fact that she said in one of her more recent videos that she 'felt like a single mother'. It's meaningless fluff, but flattering meaningless fluff.

Personally I felt like she handled mental health in a weird way. It used to be in her bio like “arts, crafts, mental health” something along those lines and I always hated how youtubers such as her and ugly face of beauty profited off of capitalising mental health as though it’s this blasee thing.

I found it quite insulting as my own mental illnesses are disgusting and not something I would ever try to monetise. Don’t know if that comes across the point I’m trying to make but yeah it always bothered me!

I also always found it insulting when she’d say she would never work a 9-5 job due to her anxiety and would always be self employed because many of us don’t have that luxury. Her asking for patreons so she can sit on her arse all day and essentially do fuck all (because let’s be real what does she actually do?? Little doe is barely ever live and her videos are few and far in between) never sat right with me!

I really like Kiera but her channel has become very dull. She's one of the few vegans on YT I don't think is a complete dickhead, I really hope she revives the content.

Her videos are so beautifully filmed and edited, as is her photography. She really has a talent for it. I know of so many people who try to pass themselves off as a ‘photographers’ but they’re photos are so honestly so shit and look like they could have been taken by anyone. Yet these people seem to be raking it in and getting lots of professional jobs like weddings and parties. She should believe in herself a bit more because she has a genuine talent and could become very successful if she put her mind to it.

True but he also has epilepsy, mental health issues and lost his dad recently. I also don't think it was his choice to be made redundant and struggle to find another job. I think it's understandable that he's struggling. Plus I get the impression Kiera doesn't involve him very much with Lana which can't help.

Does anyone else really like Kiera? I just find her so down to earth and genuine. Her wedding videos made me tear up especially with the adorable dog featured in half the photos. I also have a feeling she’s pregnant but if so I’m so pleased as it’s what her and Alex want.

I have no idea how they're surviving at this point. From her older videos it sounds like Alex is incapable of holding down a job for various reasons and if Kiera's still breastfeeding I can see why she'd want to stay at home, at least for the moment.

I hope things get better for them soon.

Presumably because she contact naps. This involves holding the baby whilst they sleep. Sweet and usually necessary with a newborn if you want any rest, but difficult with an older baby. It kind of shows how detached she is from real life if she feels the need to cancel an appt to not interrupt nap time. At some point you have to step out of the new baby bubble and the baby has to fit in around what you're doing whislt you accommodate them as best as you can. Also most mothers can leave an almost year old baby for an hour or two.

I don't know why she goes to so much effort to hide Lana's face. Just don't make her the centre of your content! Or do show her face! I'm sick of seeing the back of her head haha Besides, kids that age all look the same anyway, I don't really see the privacy thing being an issue until they're older.

Ooohkay so at the end of her last video it lists all her patreons and she does 9 personal shout outs to. The personal shout out subscription is £15.50 a month, and even the basic sponsor is £4. 9 shoutouts = £139.50 and there were about 60 other names in the scrolling list so thats 240, so she makes £380 a month just from Patreon - i mean fairly play really if someones willing to pay it

On her Patreon page it says she has 156 subscribers - so even if everybody has the very basic package at £4 per month, that's already £624! And we know there's people paying more. Is that how this works?

I really don't mind her baby content and find it really inspiring for when I plan to get pregnant in 2 years or so. "Everything baby", yeah, but I guess that is reality and as am mum of a new born, you're supposed to be there mainly for the baby. Other interests are on hold for the moment. I think this is quite natural. Ofc there are mums out clubbing again shortly after giving birth, and that's perfectly fine if they like to. But I think it's also completely normal to get absorbed for the moment by your baby. Just thinking about keeping the baby alive, not thinking about your SM-career or your online-shop.

So Lana has her first cold at almost 14 months old. I know we’ve been in lockdown a fair bit, but she really needs to start socialising with her baby. My daughter is a similar age, also BF and vegan, and has managed to pick up colds from toddler groups, family visits, play dates etc. It’s not pleasant when they are poorly, but they need to build up their immune systems.

Sadly Kiera seems to have built herself a life where she can stay firmly within her comfort zone- aka at home where she never has to be in a challenging environment and even interacting with people she doesn't know. She really needs to realise the impact that is having on herself and her daughter

I agree. Disgraceful that she still has that patron active. She's not a content creator anymore. It's frustrating because I used to really like kiera, but I've come across so many beggy grifters now that I've lost patience.

She's clearly talented, I think she needs to reassess what's going on in her personal life and make some changes to relieve some of the stress. I wonder if moving in with family would be an option if she stays weekends anyway. I really hope that Alex is doing okay, IBD is awful.

The new video was edited beautifully but I felt weird watching it, like the last one I just ended up feeling sorry for Kiera and her family

I do wonder how on earth they’ve stayed afloat with Alex not working and Kiera packing in YouTube, surely Little Doe and Patreon aren't enough to pay the bills? Although it doesn’t look like Lana is in any sort of childcare so that’ll save them a big expense
