This is going to sound really awful but she IS out of touch... on the Little Doe point. There's a billion etsy sellers who sell the same kind of plastic charms joined together, she seriously thinks demand would be so high she'd be unable to keep up? If she stuck to the tshirts and prints she'd make decent money though as they were really nice and the demand is there. Seems really weird to just... not do that though? She could sell limited runs of tshirts and it would be less stressful than YT.

whats going on with kiera?
I noticed recently she follows RFK Jr. on Instagram he's an American politician who goes hard on conspiracy theories and anti vaccination rhetoric.
I knew she was a crunchy mum etc. but this really disappointed me when I noticed.

I had an awful time at school for various reasons, but even I acknowledge that it was better than the homeschooling option. Schools force kids (rightly or wrongly) to learn how to deal with peers and elders in a way that will benefit them as adults. I think parents tend to pick and choose what to teach their kids at home and they can end up missing out. I'm all for the enrichment you can get with homeschooling, but weekends and half term can provide the same options. I'm sure some parents do really well with making sure that their child has lots of social opportunities and enrichment while they are home-schooled, but that takes money and effort, and I can't really see Kiera doing all of that.
There's also the problem of parents only socializing their children with people that are like them. One of the benefits of school is you meet lots of people from different backgrounds and with different beliefs. Intentionally or not homeschooling and the people kids are able to meet are often going to be very likeminded from their parents, and create an echo chamber. It's good for kids to be exposed to a bunch of different things and people, especially because it teaches kids they don't have to be exactly like their parents. I think it's kind of a lie when people talk about how kids are allowed to be so unique and different when homeschooling. Often they're just going to parrot their parent's beliefs because they've been exposed to nothing else.

So Lana has her first cold at almost 14 months old. I know we’ve been in lockdown a fair bit, but she really needs to start socialising with her baby. My daughter is a similar age, also BF and vegan, and has managed to pick up colds from toddler groups, family visits, play dates etc. It’s not pleasant when they are poorly, but they need to build up their immune systems.

If she was that worried why couldn't of Alex gone out there instead of farting about on hold, she could've stayed on the phone??

She is sounding really silly lately. Asking for advice about Lana having a cold and didn't just go and get some Calpol, now ringing 111

She’s not necessarily too young. Presumably she’s not been meeting her milestones and a health visitor has picked up on it and referred her for assessment. Many children slip through the net because their parents are in complete denial and think their children will suddenly become ‘normal’, they then end up in a mainstream classroom at school and can’t cope. At least this way Lana will get proper support.

Just realised that the Dr guy shes been posting on her stories is someone whose been in the news for spreading misinformation about Covid. Cant say im shocked that someone whose been homeschooled by her mum who to my knowledge has no education training, plans on homeschooling her own kid despite her family struggling for money and needing 2 wages, lives her entire life as if she's shielding anyway and has no concept of work or the outside world really is an anti vaxxer but there you go...
(This isnt a go at homeschooling in general btw - sometimes homeschooling is a lifesaver for kids with different needs if done by someone who engages with the outside world too)

I have been a fan and followed Kiera for years, but finally had my first clicking off a video. When the first minute is just a compilation of loud Lana noises I noped out. Not sure why she thinks this is what we want to hear!

Hiya, long time lurker here
I used to really enjoy Kiera’s content especially when I was pregnant back in 2018/19
I honestly feel like she really needs to get out the house. I was the same when I had my son, just constantly overthinking everything to the point where it was getting silly (like this sewage situation) but it’s easy to do that when you aren’t socialising/doing things etc/getting out the house more.
What really helped me was going back to work just before lockdown and putting my son into nursery 2 days a week. I know everybody is different. Different things work for different people but having my worklife again really helped me.

I do think she missed a trick by not making more mummy vlog kind of content. Weaning recipes, thrifty baby stuff, cloth nappies, baby activities and general crunchy parenting stuff. I know it wouldn’t appeal to all of her original audience, but it might have been easier content for her to make since it was what she was doing every day anyway. Lana’s actual face wouldn’t need to be featured in that either.

Also if my toddler didn’t go to bed until after 9pm each night I would never get anything done. Not sure why she wouldn’t try to change that routine a bit?

She posted a story to say they're not plant based anymore which is interesting as she's been plant based as long as I remember!

Alex has Crohn’s disease which can be debilitating but if it’s well managed then there’s no reason why you can live a perfectly normal life most of the time,

The ad is for Sage and she's talking about how she didnt really know if her business was profitable or not which... if it was a hobby i understand how you'd get away with that but its supposed to be one of your primary sources of household income, how could you not know if you were profiting, surely you need to know that to pay bills as you'd be putting money aside for materials?

I think that’s where Kiera has kind of fallen off the wagon. She posts parenthood content which I guess most people would assume is relatable, but it’s really not. Most of us don’t have the time to do all this ‘earthy mom’ business as we have too many other things to get on with (not saying it’s impossible, but it’s harder to prioritise when you have a billion other things to do). Her parenting style is just not practical for most of her viewers/followers

Surely she understands that getting your feel dirty will not affect your breastmilk, just go wash your feet. Don't stomp in sewage water if you have wounds on your feet, if you go poo puddle splashing, Wear wellies and wash your feet after. I don't understand... if she doesn't think she cought something after wiping her own arse or changing baby or doing the dishes, just washes her hands, why does she think that her feet will infect her milk?
111 don't know if she has sores all over her feet, if she might catch an infection for for goodness sake she is becoming a right dipshit. ✅

Almost look at me with my wonderful natural birth and breastfeeding my baby. But this is the case for a lot of women it just isn’t shoved in your face. I managed to birth both of my children with no issue and breastfeed, but I wouldn’t dream of doing this as it could really hurt another mother.
To me, her latest video on the birth was pretty realistic and down to earth about how things don't always go to plan.

Each to their own but can’t believe she’s only ever had 3 hours away from Lana?! I know it’s hard to leave your baby but now my daughter is 6 months she’s started having sleepovers with her grandparents because it’s healthy. I want her to know that she is safe with others and it will do wonders for her relationships with them. Dunno 🤷🏼‍♀️

I know I’m nosy but also it’s frustrating that’s she’s never discussing anything outright. Alex is ill, but what does he have? Are either of them working? What exactly happened with the neighbours?

It’s strange to say that she still hopes it’s a misunderstanding with the neighbours. Is that anxiety or people pleasing talking? Or is the situation not as a bad as she is making out? It’s odd all around but I don’t suppose we’ll ever find out.
I'm pretty certain from previous videos/posts etc that she shared Alex has epilepsy and ulcerative colitis... sounds like he's been really struggling and the life changing surgery he potentially needed that she alluded to would have been needing a stoma.

I have a lot of sympathy for their issues with the neighbour and I can only imagine how difficult/scary/distressing a situation like that can feel. That being said, my impression is that Kiera really romanticises everything- she talked about fleeing the house in the middle of the night barefoot with her daughter in her arms. Describes her mum's garden as their safe secret garden haven. Just seems maladaptive to me but maybe that's her way of coping.
