Anyone else unable to get their heads round why she put the living room in the kitchen instead of in the front room?
I wondered the same. I’d probably have 2 living areas. One in the kitchen for entertaining but then a more formal one to hide away in at the front.Anyone else unable to get their heads round why she put the living room in the kitchen instead of in the front room?
But then where would she put the double desk shes so badly always wanted?!Anyone else unable to get their heads round why she put the living room in the kitchen instead of in the front room?
In her defence - if one or both of them have sold their previous homes to buy this one, you do sometimes have some money left after the house sale. This is what happened to me. I was like yay money for house stuff! But it actually ended up going on really boring structural works that needed doing to my house lol.Yeah why the duck is the living room in the kitchen? Just have a bit of an office area with a sofa in the kitchen and a separate living room. They’ve made an entire living room into an office. Strange set up. Also, where the duck does all her money come from? Lamp shades, mirrors, rugs, door handles, posters, cushions, bedside tables... it’s all new! Obviously this is just me being jealous because I would literally have to buy one or two things a month over a period of time until I retired to afford to buy tit at the rate she does. duck sake.
They are first time buyers - they rented their flat and she’s mentioned a few times about their HTB ISA!In her defence - if one or both of them have sold their previous homes to buy this one, you do sometimes have some money left after the house sale. I'm pretty sure HTB is only available on new builds. They are first time buyers - they rented their flat and she’s mentioned a few times about their HTB ISA!
You can have a help to buy ISA with an older house, we had one last year.I'm pretty sure HTB is only available on new builds.
The HTB scheme is only for new builds where the government puts into shared ownership.I'm pretty sure HTB is only available on new builds.
Fair enough! Shows how much I know lol. I feel that Keelie is copying Joanna with the white walls and exposing the floorboards etc.The HTB scheme is only for new builds where the government puts into shared ownership.
The ISA is open to any house as long as your a first time buyer - we bought a 50s terrace and got the government bonus.
Definitely!! Really don’t like the flooring in the dressing room it looks awful.Fair enough! Shows how much I know lol. I feel that Keelie is copying Joanna with the white walls and exposing the floorboards etc.
Clearly mummy and daddy have helped.Sure she has only been saving for a deposit since December as she has smugly pointed out several times. So even if they both had HTB isa since then they wouldnt have got much more than 1200 towards it between them
Have to say I think Joanna is lovely, not braggy, and it's nice for a change to see someone on insta who is clearly educated and works hard (I'm sure I remember her saying at one point she had an early morning cleaning job alongside her normal job), and can string a sentence together. I was quite surprised by how quickly she and her boyfriend bought a place together, but they do seem genuinely happy together! My own personal preference is that I would never dream of getting a mortgage with somebody I wasn't at least engaged to - but that is just me. I think she's quite keen for that to happen as I remember when she announced they were buying a house earlier this year, she asked her followers out of curiosity how long they had been living with their partners before they they got engaged/married etc. and to be honest I can't blame her because there's nothing wrong with wanting that. Let's just hope he's not the free-spirited type who just wants to live together infinitely as I believe she really does deserve her happy ending.Have to agree with them to copy each other was shocked that Joanna has only been with her boyfriend for a year and they’ve already bought a house!!
I agree with this too. I also think the comments about her hair a few pages up are a bit uncalled for xHave to say I think Joanna is lovely, not braggy, and it's nice for a change to see someone on insta who is clearly educated and works hard (I'm sure I remember her saying at one point she had an early morning cleaning job alongside her normal job), and can string a sentence together.
