I’d like to hope this isn’t intentional, but it probably is.
This reminds me of when she used to take the piss out of Britney every chance she took, making jokes about shaving her hair and 'going loony' then when she had an album to promote, she cut all her hair off and filmed herself getting therapy, talking about how she felt she was losing it. So yeah, I can believe she did this deliberately because she knows her fans will and do defend her over it. You only have to look at some of the comments on Twitter to see they don't think there is anything wrong with working with him and everyone including Kesha is just jealous that she is gonna start getting hits again.I’d like to hope this isn’t intentional, but it probably is.
This is all SO disappointing. She's released some clips of the video and all I can say is I hope she has something else lined up apart from the music because if the rest of the stuff on the album is like this then...She is gonna be ripped to shreds even more if the whole video/song thing is about women supporting women which it seems like it is
What do you mean? It's in front of 100,000 people! Her career can’t be doing that well if it looks like she can get booked in Australia to play the AFL Grand Final.
It kind of looks like she’s trying to recreate the teenage dream era, especially with the vegas residency. I know she’s always had a cartoonish image but this stuff is very reminiscent of that time. Teenage dream was a great album but this song sounds rubbish. She’s probably wants to ride the nostalgia thing but it’s a bit too soon IMO.
It's such cringey 00s 'feminism
Can you imagine putting out a song under the guise of female empowerment and consciously deciding to use a producer who was accused of drugging and r*ping an acquaintance of yours? This is in addition to him sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abusing this acquaintance for years too.Of course it is. It's effectively gaslighting Kesha. Katy's a bleep and I hope her single flops.
And not forgetting the context that in the end Dr Luke and Kesha came to an agreement after a video was presented of her saying that she had never been assaulted by him (which was claimed by her in her first suit). In her final statement about the agreement, Kesha then said she couldn't actually remember what had happened that night. And so really - its not at all clear if he is what people say he is. V Murky. But the internet is the court of public opinion, and so KP must expect this criticism.I read she was tied into a contract with him for 5 albums unfortunately
Yeh didn’t something leak (the texts with Lady Gaga maybe) where it was pretty much confirmed she doesn’t have a contract like thatThat's complete and utter bull. There is no contractual obligation.

Eh? I didn’t say she was in a contract? Were you replying to the wrong person?Hi, Katy.
Again, the contract thing is bull. Kesha was locked into a contract with Dr. Luke for 5 albums (6, initially). There is no such contract between Katy Perry and Dr. Luke.
Many victims of abuse deny being abused at one time or another. It doesn't mean it didn't happen, only that they were too scared to tell the truth at that time either because they didn't want it being revealed or they were threatened to keep quiet. Luke when that first suit happened was a huge producer who had her career in his hands and was capable of taking everything from her.And not forgetting the context that in the end Dr Luke and Kesha came to an agreement after a video was presented of her saying that she had never been assaulted by him (which was claimed by her in her first suit). And they’re saying it’s around a $5m dealWhat do you mean? It's in front of 100,000 people!
