I’d love to see her do something completely unexpected like a slow song album or something. She’s just trying to recreate her old music and it’s failing
Like keeping her clothes on?I’d love to see her do something completely unexpected
OMG, it's so bad that I'm just like - yeah, I'm now thinking, WTF! Her voice doesn't match the music; it just ended. What was the whole point of it? The song and video? TBE Katy has never been able to match Taylor Swift's songwriting or music ability; I remember my husband making me listen to KP's first album; apart from I Kissed a Girl and Hot and Cold, the rest of the album was sheer crap! I also watched her documentary years ago, and my god, that was a cringe feast. I could not watch it all!For anyone who wants to view the cringe video without giving it hits:

It‘s like a parody it’s so bad.
I loved NRO. It was a great song and the styling of the video is 100% the direction she should have went inI’ve listened/watched the video to it again, followed straight after by Never Really Over.
The two just aren’t comparable.
NRO was the nearest she’s got to her old magic in sometime. Was interesting reading some of the comments on the NRO video… people thinking the same as me, and heading over there to cleanse their ears!![]()
I feel like this aesthetic is either her labels directive they keep pushing or she's really tone deaf. People now openly mock when she performed swish swish years back and she had lots of gay men as her 'props' on stage. The aesthetic of shock value is over, even Lady Gaga has moved on. The song sounds dated and the video appears to have been made for teenage boys.Surely for a song called 'Woman's World', Katy Perry could have used her platform to get a female producer, director etc. involved? Not to mention having actual female role models in the video instead of fish lipped influencers?
Yep, 'Teenage Dream' is a solid album. 'The One That Got Away' - classic....when Katy was at her peak. Her first two albums were excellent. This is all way too toxic and try-hard.
Me too. It’s in fact my favourite song of hers. Completely agree, I thought NRO was the start of something special.I loved NRO. It was a great song and the styling of the video is 100% the direction she should have went in
Some reviews are in. Ouch and ha ha ha. Good that they're mentioning the questionable "logic" of having Dr. Luke involved.

Getting to number 1 on iTunes means nothing in 2024.I don't think I have seen one positive review yet but because it got to #1 on iTunes, her fans think it is a success.
I give it a few weeks and she will eventually throw Luke under the bus, not because of what he did to Kesha but because of the song flopping. It will be the perfect excuse for her to once again blame someone else and claim she was talked into bringing him back when she didn't want to.
Yep, Peter Andre's son got #1 twice. It's not a thing to brag about nowadays when the same fans crowing about it doing so well are the ones posting about how to fix it to get more streams because even they don't want to listen to it more than once.Getting to number 1 on iTunes means nothing in 2024.
