In the end its just a bunch of lame white lady fragility. Most successful influencers are white and making inferior content that promote the worst aspects of society and theyve gotten away with it for years with no serious pushback. The tides are turning. 100 percent this. I don't think it's nice to critique someone's physical appearance but I see absolutely no problem whatsoever with criticising the content someone puts out onto the internet. If you're going to film haul videos, talk about specific topics with very little education or experience of it, or promote fast fashion - you need to accept that you're open to criticism becxause that shit isn't ok anymore.

Katie is one of the worst offenders, in my opinion. She never does proper research into what she's talking about. When she talks about plastic or sustainability or fast fashion, it's obvious she's done very littel to educate herself about it. She's very surface level and it makes her look dumb af when she's not. She jumps on bandwagson (as do a lot of infleuncers) to try to ride the train of relevancy.

It boils my blood that influencers have the nerve to claim they're being bullied when, on the most part, they're just being held accountable for their shitty behaviour.

Just watching Katie's latest vlog. I do enjoy her vlogs but I find 'G' unbearably boring. He reminds me of an ex boyfriend of mine from many years ago - nice guy but so dull. I feel like she calls him 'G' to make him seem cooler. Let's face it, Geoff isn't a very cool name. And him responding to comments on her vid just makes him seem like a self righteous knob and reinforces his role as Katie's dad. I think she's become a lot more stale since being with him.

Her comments about getting upset re feedback on her try on video. She says 'I guess it's part of the job, but it shouldn't be.' the fact is, it is part of the job and it's inevitable. You don't get the perks like being sent shit tons of make up, clothes and other expensive products and getting sent to awesome events without the rougher aspects of the job. If you're going to put your life online you ARE going to receive comments on your lifestyle choices/life. And I dare say that the majority of comments are positive and from fans. The negative comments are the minority. She needs to get over it.
