Ok, so I might have written an extremely long letter to the court, highlighting quite a few things:
The similarities between the last DD crash and this latest one.
The amount of bans/fines/rule breaks and her general bad behaviour.
The amount of times she has driven whilst banned.
The amount of times she has been to the Priory and how it doesn't seem to have helped any of the times and she runs and hides there everytime she is caught doing something wrong.
Examples of many lies she has told, in her own words.
How she uses her family/children.
The bankruptcy and how a fine would be pointless.
How she tries to use her social media to constantly deflect.
How she seems in denial after the latest crash, how 5 minutes after her bankruptcy was adjourned, she was showing herself back to her old routine.
How the general public are disgusted by the amount of times she keeps getting away without any kind of punishments.

It probably won't have even got looked at, but it made me feel a hell of a lot better.

I think a lot of legal people (including myself obviously) will be very interested to see what happens.

The main 'sticky point' will be her previous convictions.
Finding a starting point is rather tricky. They can argue the starting point would be Category 3.
That in itself would be a 12-16 month ban and a band c fine. As she has had multiple bans within the past 10 years that bumps the disqualification to 36-40 months.

What is important is the statutory aggravating factors. This is where her previous convictions come in and is the area likely to cause most problems.
It should be pretty easy for the court to be shown she hasn't taken the nature of her pervious convictions into regard. That she has a long history of drink driving.

Aggravating factors also come into play. Failure to follow a current court order and causing an accident. Meaning the seriousness of the offence has increased.

Mitigating factors then are taken into account. Realistically she can only try a couple of these. Remorse is thrown out as she has committed the same crime multiple times. Sole/Primary carer for a dependent relative is the interesting one. Harvey is now in care elsewhere so she cannot claim to be the primary carer.
Which pretty much leaves her mental health as a mitigating factor. A competent judge would ask for medical records at this point. A note from dodgy Dave the Dr would not do. She would have to show history of receiving treatment by specialists.
Most judges would see instantly the pattern of 'reaching out for help' when she is in legal trouble. And then stopping when those procedures have ended or been suspended.

The fact she has already had a court case for driving whilst disqualified should mean she is bumped to the high end of Category 2. And then add to that she was drunk, had no insurance, owned a car when disqualified and caused an accident should bump her into Category 1.
If it was a normal person they would be getting at least 12 weeks in the slammer.

Her defence will try and ram home that she pleaded guilty on her first court appearance so thus qualifies for the reduction of sentence under the criminal justice act. Which means a reduction of a 3rd of the sentence if given one. That she has been to rehab, has mental issues that won't improve in jail. That she wants to change etc

The question will be if the judges can see through that charade? If they buy it she will get a medium level community order and probably a further 3 year ban.
If they don't buy it, they will give her an 8 week prison sentence and a 5+ year ban.

That's fine, but the big worry is that she takes some innocent sod out with her.

In the past year of covid I have lost three family members and one family friend. All observed every rule and regulation that was made, all law abiding everyday of their lives, because I also observed every regulation required of me during lockdown and restrictions I wasn't able to attend their funerals. I watched family funerals over zoom, a fucking zoom link is how I got to say goodbye to my sister.

There are many people just like me, ordinary everyday people who go to work, do their best by their families, try to save a bit of money for a rainy day after paying their bills, just juggling everything as best they can. Then you have this scumbag, she will be mouthing off about "never underestimate the pricey", selling her kids privacy, not paying bills and generally thumbing her nose at the law and she will continue to get away with it. I have no faith left that decent people will be treated decently, our world is fuck them before they fuck you, types like pricey think decent people are mugs and I'm starting to think she might be right.

I had a peek at that Zoe types website and oh my. Every "look" was the same. Not sure I understand why she would still pay the mortgage if there is wheels in motion to repossess/evict her as she has substantial arrears & bankrupcy?
Would it not be better to pay her creditors the money she owes them if she will lose the house anyway.

The Ashstead residents were quite vocal in stating Katie was driving whilst she lived there. If only the Police/media requested Ring footage. The fathers know she’s been driving this whole time too. I know they want to protect their children but what about other road users/families.It’s only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured
