Bit off topic but seen as it's quiet in skankyland and i'm not derailing anything has anyone been on a boating holiday,, thinking of hiring a cabin cruiser during August for a few weeks for a change of scenery just got to pick somewhere in the UK because taking Diesel the rottie.

Don't know where you are Stan, but the Fermanagh lakes in Northern Ireland are beautiful, then you can also head down the river Shannon.
Wonder where and when Skankys next Jolly will be and who's paying.

Did a norfolk broads holiday a good few years back, good fun but map your route well so you don't get stuck just driving the boat for hours, but boat hols are fab for scenery and watching wildlife (and the pubs and walks)

Paid a roofer £600 deposit for materials by bank transfer in advance of works, no receipt, he's now not turned up on 6 occasions over a month. any idea what my options are, I don't have his address only a facebook page & phone number.

My thoughts -

From a week ago saying there’s no eviction and she’s not going anywhere, to now packing up and claiming it’s her choice and she can’t wait to go! . Just the usual KP bull.

I believe the court and forensic accountants can see what we see and know she’s about to privately rent, and it’s in someone else’s name and is as dodgy as duck. But they are just letting her dig her own grave.

I think Harvey is there both for distraction and sympathy but also because she’s petty and will rip out light fitting etc and blame H. Or even, and typing these words makes me sad, wind him up and stress him out till the point that he does do something to the house. She will film it and claim that ALL the damage ever was done by him.

Lego boys slitty eyes makes sense if he’s always stoned. He reminds me of the skater dude in the film Clueless.

Finally, her face! . It’s literally like lumpy custard and collapsing. People do say you get the face you deserve.

I would second Fermanagh. It's gorgeous and lush with loads of little islands dotted about you could explore. Loads of mythical stuff and history too. You can hire boats and have a holiday on Lough Erne, it's massive!

Have you tried searching Companies House website for the company name or the owner. That should give company registered address. Speak to Trading Standards too as they may have a record of previous complaints. See if he's registered with any trades, though sounds dodgy I'm afraid. Sometimes threat of TS or calling him out on SM might get him to do the work first

Have you considered Birmingham? more canals than Venice! Friend lives on a narrowboat and travels around there.They've really cleaned up the Midland canals, lots of history and things going on. Plus added bonus if you're quick you might bump into the sewer rat that is swank

Get in touch with trading standards spam his Facebook page if he doesn’t turn up. Concern now is the quality of the job he might do if this is his level of professionalism.
