Oh god, I remember going into first birth so blind. Hadn’t gone to any classes and had the ‘women have been doing this forever’ etc.

Cut to me waddling with a stunned mullet expression for two weeks after the birth wondering WTF had happened.

Her podcast is a reflection of her life, when she started it I absolutely loved it. It was funny, witty and interesting. Now 2/3 years later she’s married to a bore with two kids who she doesn’t put down so that’s what she talks about. Did appreciate that this weeks podcast didn’t have much mention of them though.

I remember in lockdown there was an insta pic of her drinking wine in tracksuits with Bobby in their garden in the sun. I thought she’d hit the jackpot!

Totally lost her spark which is sad.

There has never been a case of one drink, or light drinking causing FAS. I learnt about it extensively for a research project about 5 years ago. If there has been a case since I’d love to hear about it.

The reality is this is scaremongering. FAS is a result of heavy drinking throughout pregnancy from alcohol addicted women. If anyone tells you anecdotally this isn’t the case I would assume they are a functioning, secret alcoholic rather than a medical miracle

the scare mongering is so bad that it’s resulted in women who have drunk (sometimes a lot) before realising they are pregnant considering an abortion because they are so worried about the harm they may have done.

drinking I’m pregnancy can cause other complications, some minor, some major and this twinned with the fact that most people lie about/u der estimate the amount they drink leads to v unreliable data and the recommendation that there is no safe amount (when in reality, most women could drink a small amount with no negative side effects).

Personally, it was no big deal for me to not drink and there was that much scaremongering around it, I probably wouldn’t have dared. I’m glad I’m past that stage in motherhood where every single decision is judged and everything poses a risk. There is so much info out there about everything, o barely slept for first 6months as I was so terrified of SIDS. It’s overwhelming.

Back on KR, he insta story about being sexiest woman in Herefordshire or wherever was cringe thanks to Bobby’s comment about his position being ‘on top of’ Katherine. Do you get it? They fancy each other. Get it? Everyone?

It has gone through my mind that she was desperate for another baby before she met him so she’s kinda used him for that. He’s now provided the sperm for two babies, I’m not sure they’ll last the distance. I hope they do though! I just feel a little unconvinced when someone confesses their love for their partner at every opportunity. And she does quite often say she loves Bobby, sometimes quite randomly. I just think who is she trying to convince?

She seems so passive with BK doesn’t she. He comes across as quite controlling. In todays podcast she asked his permission to buy a place in Canada and he said no!
WTF? She always seemed so together and strong and now she’s regressed to a 1950s housewife!
Previously he has told her not to have any surgery and criticised her parenting. The red flags are all there.

Very telling that of all the male comedians she chooses to befriend Bobby, she picks a notorious right winger. I’m sorry, I know some people find it admirable that she is with someone whose political beliefs don’t necessarily align with hers, but I find it hard to believe that someone who was genuinely progressive and committed to activism would be able to stomach sleeping next to someone whose ideals oppose theirs, let alone raise a family with them. I foresee Katherine becoming more and more conservative the longer she is with Bobby.

One of her really early podcasts (in 2020 when the BLM movement had a lot of attention and momentum) she was talking about how important is it to support and amplify Black comedians - specifically London Hughes who had a new Netflix show. In a later podcast she said that Bobby told her she was virtue signalling. Looking back now that was a clear alarm signal showing what an absolute piece of work he is.

She sounds so unhappy in her latest podcast - so frustrated and miserable. If that's really how she's feeling and she's not in character in some way, I really feel for her. Although I'm glad she is finally letting her feelings out instead of constantly trying to radiate this image of constant serenity. She has tons on her plate and she's allowed to feel stressed!
