Just saw an advert for her live show recording and she said that Bobby is a meat eater and when he met her, she and Violet were vegetarians for around 10 years. Did they start eating meat because of Bobby?
Yesssss! And she said something about smoking before and BK smokes sooo 🤣

SUcH a FeMinIst 🥴 Changes her whole lifestyle, beliefs and personality for a Jodan Peterson loving man LOL. What changes did he make when they met? He gave up his career to be a house husband who plays golf so he can smoke freely.

Just watched that excert from her show about Bobby and meat, that is her comedy style? She is about as funny as a fart in a lift, how is she famous?

Wait does she not drink? She said something about her breastmilk having loads of Sauvignon blanc in it which I liked and will be disappointed if she is teetotal 😂

She never said she didn't drink. She just didn't when pregnant I hope/assume, it is fine to drink when nursing also. If you can find the baby, you can feed the baby. I nursed my kid once with a body fairly full of alcohol.

I find her attitude to alcohol fine tbh.
She definitely drinks but prides herself on not being a sloppy drunk. Pre Fred she’d often say she was drinking a vodka tonic on the podcasts.

I think generally she is fairly level headed. There is a lot of scaremongering that goes with being pregnant because the advice has to be watertight and very cautious.

If the messaging is unclear, it could easily lead to people think it’s fine to binge drink when pregnant etc so they say it’s best to drink nothing. That’s the clearest, safest messaging when in reality a few drinks is absolutely fine.

I think we are so unused to hearing anyone in the public take the slightest risk of being cancelled. People also get so preachy around kids and pregnancy, which I get but it’s often their own fears and anxiety being projected. I remember seeing a friend’s baby asleep with a hat on and wanting to message her so badly to say to take the hat off Because a midwife once said they can overheat with one on. Once we abide by the parenting rules, we lose our tit when someone doesn’t.

it makes me laugh that she doesn’t care. She’s not doing anything wrong.

re eating meat, I kindof get that too. I was a veggie for 10 years before meeting my husband. It wouldn’t have been an issue for me to stay vegetarian but I’d already started to eat the odd bit of meat before meeting him as I felt like my body wanted it.When I became a veggie it felt so much better for years but your body changes and needs different things as you get older. He probably sped up the transition to eating meat again but it was going to happen regardless

My countries health service has spoken about how studies have shown that even one drink in pregancy can lead to FAS. Looking around there are a LOT of people with it in Ireland. I am dead against drinking at all in pregancy, but when the baby is out do whatever the F you want even if nursing.

I agree, there is no safe level if drinking in a pregnancy. Problem is that people hate to hear this.FAS is criminally under diagnosed in Ireland.

It really is so underdiagnosed!! I'll be honest I took it to the extreme and wouldn't even use mouth wash with alcohol on my pregancies. Had a boozy baby shower and didn't touch a drop myself. It is one thing I would seriously judge someone having even one glass of bubbly at a special event. Just don't do it!!

She cosleeps and has done since she had her little boy so I doubt she drinks. I sadly can't drink because of cosleeping!

Yeah I always made sure my kids were in co sleeper and I slept on opposite side of bed/other room the few times I drank. She does drink since she had him though, she has said she has on Podcast.

A few drinks is NOT absolutely fine. It has been proven even small amounts can affect the developing brain permanently. You're not meant to drink at all, I really don't understand why some women find this so hard unless they are clinical alcoholics. And as someone else said FAS is very underdiagnosed, doctors don't want to blame the mums when the babies are out.

I actually think the increase in autism/ADHD diagnoses in children is actually FAS by another name. I think a LOT of conditions now come under the autism umbrella when they’re not, strictly speaking, autism. But that’s a conversation for another thread!

I think this is possibly the case for learning difficulties in a lot of cases.

I'm beginning to wonder how those of us who were born before the alcohol ban began survived. My brother did have severe learning difficulties but that had a genetic cause. At one point, doctors were advising a stout a day for a healthy baby! For centuries people drank weak ale rather than water which could kill you. All doomed!

You're joking right?? My Mam didn't drink in any of her pregancies and my siblings and I are (if I do say so myself) perfect. My aunts and the likes who did drink, O my days.. Deliverance!

I literally cannot believe this is even a conversation, talk about survivors bias here! In what universe it is OK to drink during pregancy!?

Is anyone suggesting that it is or do you have a problem with written comprehension?

However, many of the older human population were born when drinking alcohol in pregnancy was normal and even encouraged to "build you up" and as a tonic.

Didn't you do history at school regarding the importance of fresh water, alternative drinking of weak beer, and the importance of the housewife is brewing said beer?

I'm obviously pickled in the head thanks to my mother but I manage to gain and retain knowledge from fifty years ago. There's whole chunks of my degree I remember clearly whereas your perfection seems unable to comprehend my post while replying to it.

Thanks for the laugh at your totally a about post though.

I think Guinness was recommended to my Nan - for the iron. Pregnant in the 40s.

Guinness is ridiculously low in iron, you would need (no joke) about 100 pints for your daily allowance of iron. There is 0.3mg per pint and you need 27mg a day when pregnant, just sayin! Just because someone was ok in the 40s, doesn't mean it was correct info. The infant mortality rate was also over 30 so bad advice which I am glad is no longer given.

I wasn’t implying any of that - rather that indeed times have changed.

Chill out.
