I didnt have time to go through her bio but thought I would link here for anyone who wanted some light reading. I found her “consultations” page quite interesting. She’s making good money off of offering her opinion whilst being sure to stipulate that she is not offering any diagnoses.

I haven’t been paying attention to Kate’s stories for a little while. Has she given any update on her health status since she discharged herself from the hospital?

She put up a couple of stories over the last little while saying she’s very fatigued, low iron, and some nausea I think ?

It’s surprisingly not that much of a red flag in itself to be given subcutaneous injections without extensive training - they are incredibly easy to give and quite difficult to screw up. I’m prescribed several different ones through the NHS and never received formal training for it. I think a nurse showed my mum one time? And my mum showed my partner, if I’m remembering right. But anyway, definitely not like other injections / procedures where you are trained.

That said, it doesn’t count for much against the incredibly copious evidence of grifting and quackery in other respects.

It is upfront, as I remember that being the case for Jemma McGowan (who was referred there by Kate, went twice, and died in August). Although not for Kate, it seems, as she mentioned a few times that she had been paying them monthly from donations this time around. But I imagine she's an exception given her ongoing relationship with them and the referrals she's made.

Answered my own question portacaths don’t need dressing unless they are being accessed and it could be but it just likes like a cvad scar
Probably is a portacath which is surprising I would have thought she would only get one if she was doing long term chemo or the like

If I’m recalling correctly she had the port put in because she was having so many snakeoil infusions her veins collapsed and she couldn’t access them that way any more. I do recall her saying that the port had gotten infected once before and she had to have it removed and then inserted again later. Which would make me think she would be extra careful now but hey, what do I know?

Edited to add for @EveryDaysASoulDay: the Tracy referred to in the most recent thread's title is Jemma's mother (who did not attend her funeral...expect a lot of family drama). Her husband's name is Clive and he is attempting to continue selling tat to Jemma's followers via the online boutique she set up, as well as flogging Tropic products (although he looks like a big creepy tomato and you'd be as likely to take skincare advice from him as you would health advice from Harold Shipman). Saying false information about a doctor can get the doctor in trouble so I guess she'd still have to tread clearly.
She can lie about NED of disease, there is nothing he can do about that but she probably doesnt have the brian capacity to answer all the "what did he say about H4C stuff" knowing she cant lie.
With mermaid disco she referred everyone to them and they were probably happy to answer bc its a paid partnership and they want exposure.

Right, that’s what I mean about her not being able to slander him but she can certainly make any false accusations she wants about her own health and he couldn’t publicly refute it. In regards to his feelings about H4C, if she claims he is accepting of what they do then I don’t doubt that for a minute. I DO doubt his respectability and reputation as an oncologist though, considering her snake oil doctor friend from London was the one who tracked him down for her specifically because she did not want to be seen by any traditional doctors. I’m sure everybody within her web at this point is dodgy AF.

A friend just forwarded me a heartbreaking post of a young Aussie family who are headed to H4C inspired by Kate. He knows the family and they’re lovely, down to earth and not wealthy. They’re just looking for a way to keep him alive so he can be a father and a husband a little longer.
