I unfollowed Kate a couple of months ago. Occasionally, I'll see if she's snapped back to reality, but it doesn't appear so.

A few thoughts...

Kate sometimes uses a tactic called "sadfishing" which is, essentially, where people discuss their personal struggles (real or not), thus deepening the emotional, parasocial connection between follower and influencer. Sadfishing is very common amongst influencers as it yields an increase in social media engagement and, unfortunately, is a great marketing tool. I don't doubt that Kate has true, personal struggles and bravo that she sometimes candidly shares those feelings (eg., "I've been feeling a bit down."). However, I take issue when those sentiments are part of a sponsored video. No matter her intentions, it feels dirty. I suppose Kate isn't as bad as some influencers who sadfish then IMMEDIATELY segue into an advertisement (eg., "I haven't been feeling myself, but to make myself feel better, I do a little retail therapy at H&M. Use my code for 20% off, today!"). I hope behind-the-scenes, Kate has a support system (other than Yasmin) that builds her up, listens, and makes her feel valued when she is feeling down.

Often, influencers build their brand around relatability. Maybe they shop consignment. Maybe they love finding affordable dupes for luxury items. Maybe they don't use filters/Photoshop and show their true skin. Maybe they balance their luxury shopping with thrifted goods and DIY projects. I think, for many of us, we follow/followed Kate because of her minimalist, Parisian, effortless style that meshed well with her demure personality. At some point, it became clear that her goals either changed or her goals were hiding behind a façade of relatability in order to obtain the following and lifestyle she desired. Her cost-per-wear argument does not make the expensive item (and herself) any more relatable. Don't get me wrong - I see nothing wrong with working hard and saving for Hermès Oran sandals, Chanel bag, or another apartment/home. However, it needn't become one's personality or a strategy to set oneself apart from the rest. I know plenty of men and women (myself included) who have a penchant for the finer things in life but do so in a humble, non-braggart sort-of-way. Buy that bag or those sandals! ...but don't "casually" (purposefully) place them in every single one of your posts. That's not fashion or style, that is logomania as well as an ever-present [false] reminder to young, impressionable followers that logos, brands, and expensive taste equates beauty, likes, and relevancy. If she'd trust herself and her style, people will like her photos even without a luxury logo in frame.

I think we can almost all agree that the change we've seen in Kate happened as she spent, and continues to spend, more time with Yasmin. It is great (and healthy) to have friends with different backgrounds and personalities. BUT when that friend exhibits toxic traits and is making you feel less-than, that is NOT a friend. From the extreme weight-loss, to Photoshopping, to spending money left and right, whether she realizes it or not, Kate has allowed someone to steal her sunshine and play a large role in her life in just a short amount of time.

An undocumented hiatus (no IG posts and no YouTube videos) would do her some good. Go on a vacation to the countryside. Set aside the "influencing" for a month or two. Pick up some part-time, freelancing work. Reset. I'm not sure, but it is clear that the competitive influencer life is unhealthy.
Agree about her tactical sadfishing, she conveniently vlogged about forgetting to take her anxiety pills immediately after getting caught lying about going to Ibiza with her boyfriend & not Sarah. Probably do another one soon as we now know her boyfriend’s identity. Will do a convenient social media break on their Bodrum trip to hide him. Influencers do use MH chat for sympathy, distraction & to increase their engagement. “Feeling down so did a pamper night me time - here’s the links to products used”. Her engagement was far higher last year on her photos with no logos - dupes for the Hermes sandals etc. She needs to mix it up, not always the same designer accessories in every photo. Also got more likes when not taking pictures in the same Old Bond Street location - lazy content lack of effort.

Yasmin is now back in St Lucia so hopefully Kate will get a break from her constant presence / bad vibes. Yasmin is staying at the 4 star Harbour club hotel on a free Pr stay, so her sugar daddy bf isn’t that rich/ generous or already married so she cannot stay at his house. Hope Kate takes this as an opportunity to go home to Brighton & just chill with her family & cats away from the Mayfair scene. Probably wouldn’t.

It’s making me so sad about my own figure, I’m quite small height wise and put on 2 stone in lockdown, trying to lose it. 😬, but I think I may have to unfollow as I feel so tit about myself watching her

I feel tit watching her. She makes me feel inadequate and I feel so frumpy compared to her. Think I should probably unfollow too. Tbh now she’s all about high end not much appeals to me anyway.

Don’t ever let Instagram images make you feel bad, most people put on weight during Lockdown - it’s not easy to lose it. Instagram is all smoke & mirrors - only the edited highlights. Please remember Kate obviously edits & stretches her content to look thinner & taller, so she doesn’t even look like that plus filters & v flattering camera angles. So harmful when influencers falsely claim to eat pasta / pizza / chocolate & wine constantly with no exercise to be boastful they aren’t like other girls & perfect. Should be made to disclose their filtered / edited images. It’s a shame Kate has become obsessed with being seen to be as extremely skinny as Yasmin this year - not a healthy body image or food attitude at all. Stripping off in vlogs / IG much more than before to show off how awfully thin she is. Shouldn’t be able to see hip bones through clothes if healthy - she has gone too far & looks tired. Plus influencers get all their clothes, make up & beauty treatments for free - so impossible for them not to look good. Doesn’t look like she was with Bee last night at the flat, likely out in shallow Mayfair private clubs again, lost in that fake scene with a greasy guy.

Thought her dilemma which manolo blahnik shoes ( £600) should she buy was ignorant during this cost of living crisis whilst tagging Net A Porter clearly begging for her freebie or probably will get both shoes free as an AD. Neither are everyday shoes as she claimed. She has become designer label obsessed as if you can’t be stylish without logos, every photo now is accessories £2000+ & jewellery £12K+ incl Cartier or Tag watch in Old Bond Street / Sloane Sq. Forgotten her young follower base that made her rich, that’s why she’s losing followers everyday - over 3K recently & her engagement has dropped was over 4% now 1.85%.

Don’t feel bad for being a normal, average weight. Most of us work full time 35-45 hours a week, Kate doesn’t even work 2-3 hours a day.

The girl does duck all the entire day except take a couple of photos for instagram and then goes for a brunch or coffee, and when she does she hardly eats.

I’m sure if you had hours of PT/luxury gyms with no responsibility or concern for finances you too could achieve the body of an underweight 18 year old boy 👌🏽

👏

Spot on! It’s all fake and even then it’s unachievable unless you have no job, loads of freebies and are essentially being paid to go to the gym/put clothes on.

I might be a good 4 sizes bigger than her but I’ll take my chaotic life over being a clothes horse who is looking increasingly more detached and sad.

I agree with the designer obsession - it’s sad. Like her only validation can come from wearing and buying things that show how much money she has. (Or has been gifted)

Kate put more food scenes on her latest Youtube video than the past 5 videos combined. Trying to prove something? :D

Yes it was very obvious but so ridiculous claiming her typical morning breakfast is a slice of lemon tart with a cup tea, then a fruit / veg smoothie plus two slices of toast with avocado & feta cheese. Twice the portion she normally shows for her lunch. Approx 1300+ calories just for her breakfast! Previously shown she usually has a cup a tea & fruit/ veg smoothie. Not fooling anyone & in denial, no need for over the top lying now pretending she eats loads when it’s obvious she doesn’t. Yasmin is back from St Lucia, so no doubt be inseparable this long weekend.

Insecure need to be seen as rich & living the high life to impress strangers on IG by her designer obsession & only socialising in most expensive area of London exclusively. Spent another empty weekend at a luxury Mayfair private members clubs, this time The Arts Club, Dover St. ( need to be 30+ to join). It was lovely sunny weather but spent it inside posing alone for restroom selfies & in dark Mayfair restaurants. Most 25 years olds were out enjoying the sunshine in parks / bbqs/ beer gardens having a laugh & being their age - not acting like a bored middle aged lady who lunches. Shame she has become so lost, will regret later on spending her youth preoccupied with looking wealthy rather than having fun.

It’s Kate’s lifestyle career choice to sell herself with a public Instagram / You Tube persona & over share all her daily life for social media consumption, which makes her an obscene amount of money at 25. Yet they don’t think any of her 700K+ increasing followers should have an opinion on her, her content or notice her lies / shady behaviour, with her increased fame will be open her to even more scrutiny. She desires the money, attention & limelight. Only chat seen here is mainly what she reveals herself as she so desperately wants to be famous. Nobody saying anything really nasty or cruel, most are actually like her & concerned about her clear change for the worse this year. I & most on Tattle would never message an influencer directly but suppose others are in her Instagram DMs do, so she’s more likely referring to them than any of us. Fame seeking Influencers shouldn’t read Tattle anyway if they don’t like to see or want to be offended about any gossip about what their doing, why seek it out to just to moan about it? - just ignore it or could simply choose to do a more private career if want total privacy, losing out on the fame & easy money for taking selfies & flogging their whole life for cash & compliments. It’s all an act, like Actors who set up paparazzi photos then pretend they hate gossip about them, keeps them relevant in a crowded scene. Suspect many influencers have secret accounts on Tattle bitching about their work rivals but very complimentary about themselves. A lot of time on their hands as they don’t work much & always on phone doing “Admin” trashing their competitors.

Haven’t seen her latest vlog yet anything interesting in it or just more contrived Q&A smug answers & her usual mocking Bee’s lack of love life in their car chats, while she is clearly awkward sharing it for Kate’s content again. Selling her private life now for views & likes - better off keeping everything private like before if she doesn’t want any comments about it.

It’s the way Bee was saying how she gets that people like to gossip, which seems more tattle as opposed to someone DMing her

Kate was talking about how Gregg made her really unhappy and not herself and that she wanted to focus on her career more than a relationship, and that he probably wouldn’t agree on the reason why they broke up. She also mentioned he had his own issues going on and it impacted the relationship which is fair enough but seemed a bit harsh considered she talks about how she gets affected by mental health. She was also saying this new guy is a breath of fresh air not like anyone she’s dated before

The bit in the video when they are talking about Kate not being high maintenance… love language type, gifts being at the bottom of the list… yes ok then Kate 😂
