There’s no way she’d be doing those interviews? Really? Plenty of people guilty of crimes they’ve committed have done interviews publicly. That’s a strange conclusion to make and I’m not entirely convinced your post isn’t satire 🤣

If Karen Read had left him ‘going into the house’ (as per her first story), and was genuinely innocent, the police absolutely would have had probable cause to go in and search the house, the cops would have known this.

An alternative timeline hasn’t been produced thus far that can tie everything in to make a cover up theory make logistical sense.
This cover up...have they faked the Lexus data? The apple data?
Is the paramedic who heard her confess in on it? The niece? Everyone in the house?

Surely the first thing you would do if you had hours to cover up a fight or a dog attack (or whatever the bull alternative is) is dump the body a little bit further away than your front lawn.

All those strong men could have taken a leg and an arm each and marched him off somewhere a bit further away and left him in the middle of the road for a snow plough to actually run over. That would be a way to cover up a death.

Oh he came in but left because he was going to see an ex girlfriend up the road and must have got hit by a snow plough in the blizzard.... It makes no sense.

Instead of that (even though they have loads of time to plan how to cover this up) they leave him on the lawn in the front of their house and plant bits of her tail lights under the snow, conspire with people who are totally unconnected to each other to lie about her confessing (which she also did in a tv interview) and cover up something, miraculously put his hair /DNA on her car, create a computerised record of her reversing at speed, fake his apple health records which exactly match the timeline and circumstances of her being at the house, remove the dog DNA from his clothes and so it goes on....

But she said she didn't do it and the police you know....they're just all so corrupt. They said mean things about her and collected snow in plastic cups. Shocking misconduct.

It's bull.

OJ Simpson did a few interviews. I guess he's innocent too.

Please. You came into it what a week into the first trial and decided she’s guilty before the commonwealth have even finished their CIC let alone the defence presenting theirs.

Yes the idea of a coverup is absurd but there’s already plenty evidence of weird goings on in Canton. Look at the select board which governs the police. Who is on that? Chris Albert.

Oh sorry! I didn’t realise that there was a timescale on when you’re able to present an opinion based on publicly available knowledge, a trial that has already taken place and a second trial underway.

The fact that you can freely admit the cover up theory is absurd, yet still won’t or can’t point the finger at the most obvious (and only) suspect, is madness 🤣

Like I asked previously, I’m genuinely interested in what other alternative explanation there could be. I would find it very difficult to even put an opinion across that was basically ‘I don’t think she did it but I don’t know who did’ - makes 0 sense. So until a robust, logistically possible timeline is established on how else John ended up dead on the front lawn is given, then the most *obvious* and evidentially based answer is… Karen Read.

Also - this wasn't her first story. Her first story was she left him at the Waterfall bar. It was only when Jen said 'i saw your car outside Fairview' that she changed her story.

Oh yes I’d forgotten about that one, takes us to 3 different stories. Yet it’s only everyone else that is mentioned as lying 🤷🏽‍♀️

I think the more interesting discussion is whether she should be convicted of murder.

As far as I'm concerned, based on the actual evidence (and not some fantasy "it was the dog what did it"), she did hit him and he did end up dead.

I wonder whether she did get out of the car and pick glass out of his wounds then drove off or whether she hit him and just drove off in rage, too pissed and pissed off to realize that he was seriously injured and would die out there.

Clearly she realized once she'd sobered up a few hours later and started panicking, but it was too late by then.

Random question - would a Lexus’ airbag go off if the car struck a pedestrian? Genuine question as I’ve never hit anyone/crashed

…when she said the blood ‘gushed’ - it wouldn’t gush if there was no circulation. I’ve removed cannulas from deceased patients and there was never any ‘gushing’ as the veins were flat and lividity had begun…

Maybe only if the car came to a sudden stop by hitting something solid ? And the data doesn't suggest that it did. I
don't know but it's an interesting question. I think there is grain of truth when she says she clipped him. I don't think she thought she hit him hard enough that he would die, but the ground would have been very hard and he hit his head when he landed.

Yes which makes me think maybe she did it immediately after she hit him. It couldn't have happened like that by the time she got there with Jen and Kerri which is when she said it happened. Or maybe it didn't happen at all?

I don't think it would go off if she clipped him, which is what I'm inclined to believe.

As far as the whole thing goes, I think she's pretty much told the truth for the most part, in a very narc context.

- We had a fight, he didn't come home
- No one knows where you are
- Could I have hit him
- Did I hit him
- Was he, you know, bending down to pick up his cell phone or throwing up and I've clipped his knee
- I picked glass out of his face and it gushed blood, he didn't look mortally wounded as far as I could see
- I was looking for him on the side of the road, I was expecting to find him
- He was pretty much where I left him

I've probably left some out, but these are the ones off the top of my head.

Giving her the benefit of the doubt yes I don't think she knew how badly injured he was and was fuming that he didn't call her or pick up after she flounced off. Maybe if she had been sober she would have released at the time but she wasn't and was clearly so angry with him, and plus he'd been avoiding her calls earlier that day when she wanted him to respond.

But then once sobered up she realized maybe the reason he hasn't called me and isn't picking up is because he can't. And that's why she was panicking so much. She knew then what she'd done - but at the time? I don't think she meant to harm him.

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if there had been violent outbursts from her before - throwing a remote control, a slap on the arm etc etc.

I also think that's why the calls got increasingly more intense. It was dawning on her that he was injured and not just ignoring her for the sake of it - culminating in telling him that the kids were alone - something I think she knew John would never allow - so if *that* didn't work to get him to respond, nothing would.

I mean if you saw him go in the house to an after party with, face it, a group of heavy drinkers and you hadn't hit him and left him lying on the snow your first though would be 'he's crashed out on Brian's couch and will come home in the morning once he's slept it off' you wouldn't start ringing random people and screaming at five in the morning.

Judge needs to instruct John OKeefes mom to stop with the glaring at KR and also the eye rolling at questions being asked.
