It’s too weird for me. Jen McCabe calls Nicole Albert at 5:07am, before any body is found and when she’s meant to be sleeping.
She also lied to the Grand Jury and she lied to the FBI.

The text between Matt McCabe, Jen McCabe, Nicole Albert and Brian Albert before Karen was even arrested that said “If she pleads out it will end, if she fights it, it will be an episode” how would they even know that was coming??

As to why, there are multiple theories. One of them is that it was Colin and they’re trying to protect him - that would line up with him asking Erin Beatty for a ride from Fairview and why Jen told her to stick a fool in her mouth for talking about Colin.

Yep unfortunately I think Karen did it be it by accident. I don't buy all the others coming up with a story it's just ludicrous. Yes there was clearly corrupt stuff happening but I just don't see why they would all gang up on Karen.
It’s the most common sense and logical answer, as well as what the evidence points to.
The fact karen started bleating about potentially hitting him *before* they’d even found his body is the most obvious confession bar Lucy Letby 🙄

The evidence from ARRCA doesn't join up with John being hit by a car though. Also the FBI had previously stepped in to say the case shouldn't be tried but the DA's office went ahead anyway.

ARRCA were also deleting messages and communicating via a non recoverable method so I guess it depends what level of trust you put in that testimony

If NASA and the NHL trust them and the DOJ / FBI trusted them enough to engage them I don’t see the issue. The messages were deleted after the first trial was over 🤷🏻‍♀️

ARRCA is 1000% the only reasonable doubt the defense need. Which is why the CW have tried so hard to get them thrown out. Sometimes it feels with this case that Karen Read is having to prove that she's innocent rather than the CW having to prove she's guilty.
Like I've said before on here, I think she could have done it but unfortunately the CW just can't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. There's no way 12 people will all agree on murder. I think it will even be a stretch for one of the lesser includeds.
The O'Keefes really should give up sueing Karen and move to the Canton police/Alberts. They're the ones that ruined the chance of any real justice.

I wonder what Proctor is thinking/doing right now? You can tell the commonwealth is going to make him the fall guy.

This trial is interesting in the way witnesses are being called. Lally called some police officers in first, then Jen. It seems weird to hear from her first. She totally threw the police under the bus. The whole department must be cringing. I mean, they should be; they look awful. She basically said they didn't do their job and didn't write down what I told them.

I wish I had a magic wand and everyone would just get on the stand and tell the truth. So frustrating to hear them all stepping around the answers.

This is so scary! This was an open-and-shut case according to Proctor. And, it was so easy before the FBI got involved. Proctor is probably shooting daggers at the FBI!

And, for the rest of us, the chances of the FBI getting involved in our case is negative zero!

I just can't pay attention to all this boring stuff, lol! And, this is totally off topic but does John's brother work? I can't imagine getting this much time off of work to sit in court.

Edited to add I just googled and found his LinkedIn page.

Just because it made me smile . . . . The closed captioning on this, lol! Judge Bev's instruction to the jury - now that would be an interesting trial :)

I’m surprised he still shows face after what he was caught doing and that his wife still sticks by him 🤢

Where are you guys watching the trial? I was using Boston25 on YouTube but it cuts out and doesn’t always let me back to watch if I’ve missed the live.
I'm watching on Court TV, channel 163 on my smart TV. Live from the court, knowledgeable presenters all very closely related to the law, with amazing interviewees, barristers, retired and active judges, police commissionaires etc. Astonishingly strong and biassed opinions voiced (for and against) that would never be allowed in the wishy-washy UK. I watched almost every minute of the first trail and I'm watching as much as I can of this second one.

I think she's guilty, but I think it was a terrible accident, and I think the realization that she'd caused his death niggled away at her and came later. Most women, if their boyfriend goes to a party and doesn't go home, might think he was in bed with another woman, not jump to the conclusion that he's dead in the snow.

I think the conspiracy theory is bull.

I'd like to see KR found guilty of manslaughter a) because I think she is, and b) because she's an arrogant, smirking, publicity-seeking, rabble-rousing, manipulator.

edited: to add smug

edited again: this time to say I watch from the start of the Court day which is 2pm here until I flake out, roundabout now!
