You really think a bunch of cops left a colleague of theirs to die on one of their own front lawn? Without checking he was actually dead? That seems a pretty basic mistake to make.
But then like Proctor texted, Brian Albert wasn't going to get any tit because he's a Boston cop. Hiding in plain sight could be the best alibi.

Yes I do, or maybe he was dead before they put him on the lawn.

Either way they are up to their neck in it and in the cover up and Jen is the puppet master, in my opinion.

Do you think Karen killed him?
She absolutely did. Just like in LL case, the accused actually admitted it, yet we still try to create some crazy conspiracy theory.

But the commonwealth needs to prove beyond a reasonable that Karen hit him. Do you think they achieved that in the first trial?

Side note, I love the back and forth on this thread. Everyone has valid points and I think have been courteous to each other. I think this is a great example of what the jury will encounter and at the end of the day I think will be hung again.

If the feds showed up at your house after one of your close friends was found murdered would you welcome them in as your innocent and tell them everything you know or would you ask them for 10 minutes so you can call everyone else who is involved and get your story straight?
If it was me and I knew I wasn’t involved I’d welcome them in without pretending I’m my sister and stick the kettle on, I wouldn’t need to lie and I wouldn’t need to call anyone first.

But as everyone likes to keep going on about, the cops are apparently ‘dodgy’ and corrupt. She knows police officers and so knows she doesn’t need to speak to anyone straight away.

Going by the same vein, why didn’t the CW charged everyone else too then? The threshold for evidence must have been high enough to allow a charge?

I agree. You see people getting really nasty with each other on Reddit (even though the mods are pretty quick to take care of it). This case is very divisive! It is nice to read both sides. I doubt we will ever actually know which is sad.

But the cops are dodgy, Proctor was fired over his misconduct in this case !

Because the investigation was crappy. If a dead cop showed up on my lawn the cops would be knocking on my door immediately to check out my house. In this case they never did that. Proctor even said himself the homeowner wouldn't catch any tit cause he was a cop.

Surely the CW has to call the lead investigator of the case?! I don't know how they'd be able to explain that away in closing arguments if they don't

I’m not sure I’d call what he did dodgy. Stupid, yes.
Keep in mind we wouldn't know any of this dodgy info if the Dept of Justice didn't get involved. That blew this whole case wide open. None of these texts/shoddy/dodgy info from all these players would be known. Proctor would still be walking around with pats on the back from solving this case.

This is unlike anything we've seen in the US. It just isn't a normal trial at all.

Yep unfortunately I think Karen did it be it by accident. I don't buy all the others coming up with a story it's just ludicrous. Yes there was clearly corrupt stuff happening but I just don't see why they would all gang up on Karen.
