I'm sort of inclined to think it's just for a sort of fairy tale ending in advance if her book tour, her fans seem to view it as that judging from the gushing comments
Yeah, they'll all want to see the ring and cry lol.

But I have a really weird feeling, especially based on her lastest promo reels (ciao, he said) she's going to pitch this to Netflix. And I bet they bite. This type of crap is popular without even trying.

She really thinks she's doing something. Stalking their profiles is creepy. I don't really see anything brutal in these comments. She posted. She likes going viral. I'm not sure why she can't handle some pushback.

No, I don’t have any inside deets, I caught this all on TikTok so have been watching for context. Yes I saw the girl in France who said she blocked her.
I really am curious if she is just scamming people for that 30k she claims she needs to go back to America.
It's all so bizarre. Well, she is a failed actor and wannabe stand up comic, so who knows? Her outbursts (and glazed looks) make me think she's unstable , but being mentally ill doesn't exclude her from being a scammer. Hopefully she fades away since she's loving the views and engagement. I'd be so embarrassed if I were her daughters. 🫣
It's annoying seeing the amount of people who believe her shit, too.

A book tour?! Seriously? I guess do not underestimate the low bar set by older Gen Z and young millennials.

I wouldn't go that far. 😅 At least Girl in Florence, Heart Rome and Katie Parla offer worthwhile info without pandering to The Dumb.
That’s true!

Who would you say is worse?
People who wouldn’t even bother to give her the time of day, but I’d say Sofie, Lauren Quacquarelli and Kylie.
So I guess that wouldn’t even happen lol

Davide must be dying inside since all the courses she's done with him didn't produce grand results. 😂
I don't get how these courses want to advertisenwith her, she never improves at all and the fact she's clearly written things that aren't correct and not been shown/understood the correct version is such a bad indictment of the course its actually hilarious

The haters chapter is mostly about how people (“keyboard warriors”) have commented about her thin lips and hair, and how she should speak Italian better by now and how her culture shock series could have been avoided by googling things.

She asserts that her not knowing that Italian pharmacies don’t sell birthday cards could not have been fixed by a Google search, because how could she have known she needed to Google that?

“The day they came after Dario is the same day I stopped tagging his profile and scaled back his appearance in my content”

Wonder what was written about him.

A big part of the chapter is about anti-American sentiment on social media.

She had a bad experience at an influencer networking conference with a woman scoffing at her for not knowing a suburb in the UK and it made her cry and almost want to quit. She makes it especially pitiable too because she wasn’t like the other girls there in their Gucci clothes.

Being criticized made her self aware and change the way she acts. She starts second guessing her content because she doesn’t want “dumb American” comments.

Her ultimate message is that all haters are 1000% jealous because they want something you have that they lack.
---
How dumb is she to hear Dario bestemmiare after cutting his finger and think it’s a beautiful phrase and not a swear word so she repeats it… that sounds like a made up anecdote
---
She also says that “in bocca al lupo” means good luck because of the wolf cubs being carried by a mother wolf in her mouth. If I’m not mistaken that is something created by animal rights activists??
Re: Dario, IIRC it was the same thing people wrote under the CNN article. That he was probably married at the time of them meeting and how as an Italian he'd obviously cheat on her.

Why did her MGT keep the "Lol?" 🤦🏼

Im sick today and I ended up falling asleep listening to the end of the book. I have to say that the way the book was edited makes little sense to me. She goes back and forth with anecdotes from before her time in Italy, to her childhood, etc. Maybe it’s just me but it felt pretty rambling and repetitive. Lots of “do the things that scare you” and she comes across as very insecure about being perceived as stupid.
Her writing is very amateur, and when she was reading aloud at times it felt like she didn’t know where the sentence was going so her narration was choppy. There were too many cringy references, trying to use Gen Z slang and she was just trying way too hard to sound quirky. It didn’t seem to me that she had much hardship to draw from so her examples of culture shock or struggle living abroad was like grasping at straws.

Also, not really sure where the whole gelato stuff comes in. She starts the book saying she had really bad gelato one time in Venice when she first went to Italy. Maybe I need to go back and listen to the last chapter that I dozed off to.

She again fails to understand an Italian phrase, saying that “Il troppo stroppia” literally means “too crippled”. Eh?!

Kacie guest lectured for a communications class at the Florence campus of Florida State and she said her most popular videos are about grocery stores in Italy because they are “stressful as eff”.

I think if I heard that in a lecture my IQ would actually drop.

Why does Dario still write to her in English? (I'm referring to the whatsapp msg he sent to her about The Office guy staying at the hotel he's a chef in). So is she never going to even try to really learn and assimilate?
I wouldn't have the patience to try and teach her either tbh

@moronglace I saw your friend Baily's TikToks, she went off! 😂 Do you know any of these "insider deets?" I've only seen one woman living in France (I think) talking about how this Livia woman attacked her in her content for suggesting she get medication lol.

So I was always under the impression that he had some special visa that wasn’t for work or study, and when I once reached out to see what it could possibly be, of course she didn’t respond. She says in the book that it was a work visa sponsored by an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn called Camillo which is run by Italian immigrants. Apparently they decided to move to Italy in January 2021 because Covid affected visa renewals (postponed) and they didn’t want to do long distance.
Is it that easy? I thought us visas were so difficult for service jobs, unless he was working illegally?
I think the criticism he got (from a cringe video they made) was that he was marrying her for a green card? Which tbh nowadays seems crazy from europe, the US is not really the promised land it was before (imo anyway)
