That poor baby! Just let him wake at 6 and stop talking about babies like they are robots.

this is why she didn’t breastfeed - she wants a robot

CIO/ graduated CIO are legitimate sleep training methods. It’s not for everyone but no one should be shamed if they use it. What the problem is, is that just_chill_mama (and others) 1. Pretend their methods don’t use it when they do 2. Sell you something that you can Google very easily for yourself. Looking at those PDFs, there’s absolutely nothing you wouldn’t learn if you look up the Ferber method.

I didn’t, I’m too tired. My baby hasn’t learnt any self soothing skills and the minute she’s awake that’s it, she’s awake, crying for me and to start her day. No rocking and sssh’ing will get her back lol
I remember the days. It is so tough but they will eventually get there. My baby woke like 10 times a night and slowly got better after 16 months. I looked to just chill mama and ALMOST bought a course but I decided after looking at all her advice to just stop stressing and obsessing about sleep. I gave in to co-sleeping and didn’t track how many times my baby woke up. Got family to help with nights at the weekend so id have one solid night sleep. It was shit but I survived. I prefer the sleep influencers who make it clear that babies don’t sleep through and don’t charge money for courses.

I feel like just chill mama is very clever with her marketing and targets loads of new mum influencers knowing they’ll accept free advice in exchange for advertising her services.

How awful . Money is tight enough when you are on maternity. Like mentioned above adults don’t even sleep through so how can Beeee do it day in day out. He must be the only baby ever not to get a spot of tummy trouble or wind . Also I don’t think he ever mixes with other babies. Never see her take him to classes or out anywhere poor thing 😢
She has said before that naps take priority over baby classes. Something about there being no point or it being no fun to take a cranky tired baby.

I was that utterly sleep deprived mum that I naively bought her 0-5 month AND the 6-9 month 😭. Did it work? Nope. Daughter is 1 now and only wakes for a feed once. I’m so embarrassed and mostly annoyed that I bought the crap courses. They’re so basic.

Yes that’s another huge flaw to the courses, she suggests to “tweak” the routines but gives absolutely no indication of how to do that? Ie if this happens try capping nap X by 15 minutes etc. The thing is that it’s not the routines that get babies “sleeping” 7-7 it’s the crying sleep training, their little bodies shut down as a protective mechanism to conserve energy. She always says this isn’t true but how on earth else does it work? She says they are “learning to fall asleep independently” but what other skill is learned whilst crying hysterically? It boils my blood.
What are the bets she’s in Mrs Hinch’s DMs offering free 1-1 support after she posted about how her children don’t STTN.

I don’t get how it can work when her method seems to be treating babies like robots. No 2 babies are the same - I have 3 children and they’ve all been very different. Surely she’s not going to have a high success rate despite all of the DM screenshots of people fawning over her?

Omfg how childish! All I did was message her and say she seems to answer the same questions a lot could she maybe try and be more diverse with the questions she answers. What a twat!

Thats what I hate- they take advantage of sleep deprived parents. I started following her out of desperation but I saw the prices and researched it more and thought forget it. Personally I can’t cope with leaving my kid to cry and I glad I didn’t because she eventually slept through... at 17 months 😂. I also thing it is very poor to offer these free services to instagrammers who then promote her shite.

I used to follow her but found her really irritating when she changed her Instagram from genuine advice to trying to be an influencer. I unfollowed when she was gifting sleep training to z listers and charging ££ for a course/home visiting with no guarantee and vague advice.
Not sure if anyone else has noticed too but she makes a smacking/tutting sound when she talks that goes right through me. “Urm *tut*” 😖

Anyone struggling with baby sleep, I can highly recommend ‘Lisa Clegg Blissful Baby Expert’ and ‘Blissful Toddler’ books. They really helped me through pregnancy, navigating new born and then tackling sleep issues as toddler.

I’ve finally unfollowed her. She has an amazing gift for making others feel like a massive failure. My baby’s the same age and not sleeping through. We use pouches for weaning at the mo because I’m totally overwhelmed with a toddler. I cannot stand to see her boasting about how well her baby sleeps and how she’s giving him only home cooked meals. Well I say that- until she’s *gifted some baby food then I’m sure she’ll be all over it.
oh and just to add she 100% had beeeeeeeeee (just call him his proper name, ffs) in his own room before 6 months. Not that I have any issue nor am I judging but what pisses me off is that she goes on about safe sleep guidelines and doesn’t follow them herself!
Feels good to get that out 😂
Don’t feel bad. I found lots of my parent friends who said their kid was sleeping through were lying. They’d say that they had to pop in to them or they cried for an hour. Made me feel shit but I no longer care. My kid doesn’t sleep great it is what it is. Also i don’t follow her any more so I don’t know but I doubt she would be honest and say if any of her techniques weren’t working. She would claim he started sleeping poorly so she used her strategies and they worked.

Quiet on here but had to share I bought x2 of her courses. It’s almost gotten worse! My daughter used to wake 4am on the dot, I’d bring her into bed and she’d sleep until 6/7. Since the course she was pinging awake at 4/5am and couldn’t be cuddled back to sleep. I was unsure if she needed less sleep but the course said “tweak naps” and all reviews used the word “tweak”. Well nothing worked and we’re back to co sleeping because at least we now both sleep until 6/7.
i can’t stand her smug little face and her mouth drives me up the wall
Oh that is SO bad and so frustrating for you. She's meant to be an expert. i recently downloaded her free 4 month sleep regression guide. I know it's free but it was just information I could find on Google! She's such a twat . Most sleep coaches do offer really useful free bits nowadays.

Note at the bottom, if you need more support.. aka If you want to pay me 1000s for 1-1 support because that's the only way I'm actually going to help .. if you're rich

It's just the ferber method though isn't it? That's what I found recently with takingcarababies too. The same spiel just worded differently. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I have a reflux baby so any crying results in vomit so we're still up every few hours.
---
I've looked for a gentler method, all I could find was the pick up put down which were trying.

i don’t believe for one minute Beeeee sleeps solidly every night. I am new mum and have a baby the same age and know lots of mums with babies the same and it’s not cut and dry. Some actually bought her course on the aldi special bits. There are bad patches, early wakings , teething issues . Yet miraculously Beeee never has any of these. Funny how she never shows her baby on the monitor sleeping till 7am. Sorry but I really don’t believe her. Does her husband work for just chill mama too as he’s always at home xx

*special buys
I think she’s probably a lazy bitch and her husband probably does the majority. Don’t know what he does for work though.
she even says that adults don’t sleep through the night consistently so I’m not sure why she’s trying to make out that Beeeeee sleeps through and doesn’t make a sound 🤷🏼‍♀️

Its actually disgusting to be accepting all these gifts! Does she not realise how bad it looks putting up those stories with all the gifts in a matter of hours. I wonder what she actually did but herself for this baby
One of her courses to teach herself how to leave it to cry?

If you wanted to sleep train could you not just google the information instead of paying her prices? I dread to think what she charges
Wish I’d thought of that 🤔

I was on Google every hour my baby was up, it’s full of contradicting advice and most advice is American which doesn’t meet the same standards as GB. It was hard to know where to look so I bought a course where everything was in one place and had an actual schedule to follow, but thanks for the advice, I’ll bear in mind I should Google harder next time.
