Flying to Australia for an non disabled person is stressful enoughYes well that would be more practical given Deedees condition. I think there’s a bit more to it why he seems so keen on getting to Australia when clearly there are places he could take his daughter to for a little holiday/break closer without having to put her through the ordeal of travelling to the other side of the world

Is that educational? Is that awareness? He wouldn’t have to do them very personal things for his 20 year old daughter if he let female carers help look after Deedee or even her sister who supposedly looks after deedee when he goes the gym but he won’t he wants to have all the praise and acknowledgment for doing these things but it’s wrong. A lot to f what he says about Deedee and how she can have a seizure but yet he’s lifting her up and spinning her around, jumping on top of her in the bed just for a post and the likes it’s will get. One minute he’s saying she’s a 20 year old just like any other and dressing her in low cut tops next thing he’s treating her like a 3 year old child I just don’t get it….
He controls his 20 year old daughter so unfortunately what he says goes! Why would he have female carers in when he can be Deedees full time carer however inappropriate that is when it comes to her personal care, he seems to have no boundaries and common sense in respecting his daughters dignity when talking about it to complete strangers on a public media platform. I’m a support worker and I have shown his videos to my team leader who has raised a self guarding concern ,and so have I with his local authority, not in a professional capacity but as a member of the public. He says she was sexually abused then dresses her up in sexualised outfits and does things like the dirty dancing , talks about her personal care all safe guarding issues. Not to mention he right to dignity while being cared for. She can’t consent to be on tik tok or fully understand what’s going on ! Does he not let her go to social clubs because he doesn’t want other people getting close because there is something going on and she may find a way to communicate it to someone once they get to know her ( extreme but it does happen !) . Look at that lad last year who’s little boy was being abused and everyone though he was dad Of the year . I’ve reported it because it doesn’t sit right with me !Johns popped up on my fyp yet again. That’s so nice of you to share that and your sister sounds a truly amazing independent young woman. I think unfortunately for Deedee she doesn’t have any other support really from what her dad says, it’s just him and Deedee, no one else in her life except him and her sister who she supposedly sees when he goes the gym. I would presume he would get the full benefits you’ve mentioned and as a lot of people have mentioned on a post he did yesterday regarding his go fund me that there are a lot of charities that would pay for a holiday for him and Deedee as she is disabled, whether he knew that or not who knows?I have a 35 year old severely disabled sister, non verbal, can't walk in a wheelchair, can't toilet (in nappies) eat for herself but doesn't have seizures and the spitting image of deedee visually, my sister is in a care home/independent living and it's SO beneficial for her, she's funded for a disability car (carers drive it obviously!) but she gets out, goes to art classes, swimming, cinema, shopping, a FAR better quality of life than Deedee, the poor girl is unstimulated!
What I wanted to say regarding personal care, my sister's carers give her bath's but NOT allowed to shave her, my mum does shave her underarms and legs but definitely not down below, there's NO NEED, slightly disturbing why he does it.
And frigging Australia REALLY?! She wouldn't cope during that flight, it's not familiar to her, we took my sister to Disney land and she LOVED it, all the characters, the smile on her face lights up a room, I don't think I've ever seen deedee really smile, there's so much help available without go fund me pages, I'm guessing he gets high rate DLA (mobility and care) carers and possibly PIP, just greed.

Just watching his latest video of him thanking everyone that’s donated to his gofundme for Disneyland. I know many people have discussed it already but … would Deedee even enjoy it there? John states she doesn’t even like interacting with anyone that’s not him, so would she be scared of all the characters dressed up? Would she be fit enough to go on any rides. Her height might restrict her from going on the more child/toddler friendly rides.
I just think somewhere like Disneyland (loud, busy, full of colour and big buildings & attractions) would be too overwhelming for her.
Not to mention the level of COVID cases in France at the moment. Then the restrictions there and the travel restrictions for UK citizens travelling there (vaccine passes, PCR tests).
I apologise if I am coming across as ableist, but if I was her dad, I’d maybe try and take her out places locally first, (parks, the beach, amusements, fairs and theme parks) before taking Joe Publics money via gofundme to take her abroad!! I’ve a really uneasy feeling he’ll make thousands on this gofundme then decide Disneyland isn’t appropriate for Deedee and her needs and just spends the money willy nilly on himself.

But wow Australia?! The flight (probably connecting too so more than one flight) the entry requirements (visas, vaccines etc) PCR testing. I reckon that’ll be the case for travel to Aus for at least the next 2 years.

Like I said before my daughters needs are more severe than deedee’s… but regardless of disability or not parenting does not warrant a pride of Britain award ffs. Yes it’s more difficult (physically and emotionally) than your typical parenting but it’s just the way cards are dealt for some of us …you crack on. Why does it warrant an award lol
