And I think he does have that little hint of spikiness in his personality, where he'd kind of like there to be some element of mutual teasing in the relationship (and some element of the pair of you sitting in a corner and muttering mean things about other people to each other to make you both laugh).
But I think that on a fundamental level he probably responds well to genuine kindness and warmth. Someone to be proud of him and reassure him that he's a good person.

And he gets embarrassed when someone mentions it or hints at it. I love that about him. His reaction to Amelia’s joke about why it’s called the “beautiful game” was adorable. And I agree, he seems to get boyfriendy fairly quickly, as we learned from the dishes story. It’s hot yet endearing, like he needs to be shagged (by me, HARD) and then protected.Need some motivation this morning (2x end of year stock counts) and was just about to search for the workout videos but that one will do nicely

His hair always looks so clean. Other bae can look a bit greasy at times (sorry other bae) but I dont think John suffers with this affliction
