Loooll apparently she’s shipping this Adam guy out to Barcelona to live with her after what, 3 months of knowing him?! Her whole life is just so manufactured, it seems like she gets this idea of what she wants it to look like in her head and then just forces it to happen, whether it works or not. I think that’s why Alex was able to cheat on her for so long tbh. She was so obsessed with showing off this glamorous fake life to her followers that she failed to recognize any of the glaringly obvious red flags that he was giving out the entire time.
I hate to be an armchair diagnoser (and please no one take offense to this, I’m curious as to what others think) but does anyone else wonder if she is suffering from BPD or something similar? The way that she latches onto new people (usually men) and then puts them on a pedestal is defo a symptom of BPD, plus she also obviously has issues with substance abuse and eating too. Idk, she seems very emotionally unstable at times.

I don’t think she has BPD. I think she’s just a very insecure lonely girl who has no roots so just clings on to anyone for comfort until a better option comes along.

Not having a go at @Deeznutslol but I think saying 'they seem like they BPD' or 'suspected' are banded about too much on social media (partly due to, often undiagnosed, people glamourising it).
Theres more to it than taking substances, partying, latching onto men or being a bit unstable.
BPD is a serious condition that is hellish for people who have it and they are not 'spicy' or 'wild'.
Truth is about 80% of people with BPD attempt suicide at some point (obviously some are successful).
People with BPD are insecure x1000 if she had BPD she would have literally gone into a rage at any woman talking to Alex and been accusing him of cheating way before she did.
A person with BPD wouldn't have the mentality to think 'they'll never cheat i'm too hot' because they're constantly suspicious.
A person with BPD ultimately has attachment issues they idolize and love bomb because they want someone to love them.
Their greatest fear is rejection so they are constantly suspicious and read into things too much and destroy relationships with their suspicions.
Someone with BPD would have been screaming at Alex and accusing him of an affair way before Sam found with all the red flags in her face.
Also she was with Alex for 2 years nearly people with untreated BPD are very destructive in relationships so they likely wouldn't have made it that far.
Especially when they were apart, someone with BPD would struggle with it.
As for eating issues..people with bpd often do too much of things to fill an emotional void inside them so it can be sex, drugs, shopping, eating, alcohol etc
I wouldn't say Sam goes overboard with any of them she isn't posting random tiktoks up, pissed, having huge shopping hauls or having a new man every week...they would be more BPD red flags.
Another thing people with BPD do if they feel they're gonna be rejected or are rejected they devalue and detach. If she had BPD she wouldn't be talking about Old Alex 18 months later. She would act like he didn't exist.
Yup agree - she’s extremely insecure. She’s getting such massive dopamine hits because she has a bunch of people telling her how amazing she is which is what she’s always needed. She always needs that outside validation. I’ve lived with a girl like her that thought she was better than everyone because she was skinny (and couldn’t handle that I had a better paid job and then got a boyfriend and she didn’t). It’s kinda sad really. You’d think at her age she’d do some introspective thought. But she’s still the same pick me that she was when she wrote those horrible blog posts.
Wow thanks for explaining, I didn’t realize quite how intense some of the symptoms needed to be for a diagnosis tbf.
I was curious as to whether she’d ever mentioned any issues so I searched her @ and mental health and apparently she has been diagnosed with cyclothymia? The way she describes it is like a less intense version of bipolar. It’s not really a condition I’m familiar with at all, but from what we’ve seen of her it makes more sense than BPD (can’t add link to the tiktok but this is the one)
I would bet she has just always been like this. She's very aware of how she looks to others and craves her life being 'different' and more glamourous. I have a friend that at school would ditch our friend group for boyfriends or if a more popular group came along, never really making any real or deep connections and coming back when they weren't as exciting as she thought or left her out. She is in her 40s now and still beautiful, but has lived all over the world, always having new starts, posting new boyfriends and the friends get younger and younger, it just looks tiring - this is exactly how I see Sam. Her insistance that she is better / more exciting / more glamourous than everyone has made her life worse in my opinion. This new boyfriend might be rich, but he looks boring AF. I hate to say it, but Old Alex made her account interesting. His look, fashion, lifestyle and job - being French, IMO he was an interesting personality and made Sam seem so.
Shes just admitted she kept sleeping with Old Alex after they split.
