Possibly, I believe she’s been told they may not make it past 2 but hopefully they will pull thought as medicines change and improve.
I thought she said they wouldn't have lived past two if they didn't have the treatment, but they've had the treatment, so can live longer but she's been told they'll never walk

Yeah I don’t get this whole writing them off as if they have a week left when many people with Type 1 go on to live fulfilled lives even if their’s will be different to say Jesy’s.

I think it's because they were fairly late getting the diagnosis and treatment. They are tube fed, need breathing support overnight and the damage to their muscle tone looks significant. It's a pretty bleak outlook in terms of quality of life. As babes in a pram, they don't look as unwell as they are (if that's the right phrase).

Has this happened because of complications in a twin pregnancy or just a genetic condition?

did she have a NIPT test?

It’s genetic. They’re identical too meaning the chances of both sharing any condition are much higher, whereas fraternal twins are usually about as likely to share a condition as siblings born from different pregnancies.

I don't follow her just see what's posted on here. Is their Dad in the picture these days?
It's very sad what has happened to those two little girls but hopefully they'll be comfortable and loved throughout.

I personally say hats off to her. I don't have kids nor plan on however I'd never head of SMA. Because of her I'm aware of it & have some basic facts. That's what 'raising awareness' is about.

yea I think a lot of people have just jumped to the conclusion that he’s a dead beat because they broke up not long after she announced the twins condition
Def think there’s a lot of assumptions and I didn’t get bad vibes at all from him after watching the documentary either.. Jesy is the only one who makes me raise my eyebrows but it’s like no one is allowed to say anything about her now and she’s seemed to have gotten a pass for all her bad behaviour because of the circumstance she’s now in.

This!!! Jesy is hard work, she always will be. Their relationship was never solid and they only got back together because she was pregnant. He seemed lovely and very caring, if it was neee strong before the stress of the twins would of been incredibly hard to deal with along side an already fractured relationship.

Yeah, it’s easy to not realise how profoundly disabled they will be because they’re babies still, but in all likelihood they will have very limited strength and movement in their arms and legs, will have breathing and feeding issues for life, and so on.

I expect they will soon have surgery to install a feeding tube directly into their stomachs. They won’t have NG tubes forever.

Is Jesy launching a boyfriend on her IG stories tonight? A photo of a mystery man’s arm alongside hers.

surely she has not had time to move on from break up with a fiancé and birth of twins with complex needs and find someone new in such a short time?! My mind is blown

Her mum is doing far more than her I'd imagine.

Honestly, I’d be bloody concerned if she had the time
