It’s not a straight transplant, because men don’t have one in the first place, like other organs so very unlikely. It’s not just the implantation of a womb, the whole female body is geared up for ovulation, pregnancy, breast feeding. The blood vessels, female pelvis is a different shape and so on. Some of the other organs move to accommodate the foetus. The placenta , an organ in itself, is still not very well understood( ie exactly how it grows and isn’t rejected etc.
They’ve only been successfully transplanted into women a few times and have to be removed once the baby was delivered.
Maybe it will be possible one day in men. I read that it’ll probably be possible to gestate a human in a laboratory before that though.
The whole thing sounds abhorrent to me, no thought of the child as usual.
I hate all this, “ it’s my right to have xyz”. I hope that it’s never possible.
