Trump sold it years ago he has nothing to do with it now
I was pretty sure Trump stepped down from the board of the hotels when he became President but his sons took over and the family remain the current owners. Neither here nor there anyway...good luck to Jess and Rob.
I don’t know where you got that from because he absolutely still owns it and it still bears the Trump branding. Screenshot from the Trump website attached and you can see it listed.
Personally I wouldn’t set foot in the place while it remains under than mans ownership, I couldn’t contribute to his wealth even in the most minor way. I would sooner stay at the travel lodge.

My friend is having her wedding there next year so i will be spending money there. Id rather not, but above all, shes my pal and im not going to say anything to her, its her decision to make, without my input.
I think trump is a lot of things, but there is a lot of local people being employed - it'll be them that gets hurt if that hotel fails, not him.
I don’t think it’s anyone’s business where they married and to be honest I don’t think they would give a flying duck what a pile of absolute strangers on here would think either !!!!
And sorry to disappoint you all but we are all supporting some sort of company or businessman / woman unknowst to ourselves from time to time over the years who’s values or work ethics are off the walls.

The staff there are so pleasant and would do anything for you. Weddings are in a marquee structure outside of the hotel which is a pain especially in wet or windy weather. I’d love to see a function room being built onto the place. Look, it’s not the ideal with Trump owning it - but it brings huge employment and business to a small village on the west coast that would have little else besides. Like it or not, the Trump brand carries a lot of weight with Americans and Covid times aside, it’s been far more successful financially than what it was before he took over. Go enjoy your wedding guilt free!!
If people had to justify having an opinion then Tattle couldn’t exist. And I don’t believe that the negative associations with the Trump brand doesn’t cross peoples minds they look at the place, so if they go ahead then it’s with that knowledge in mind and they know what they’re doing 
Ive been to Doonbeg (pre Trump) and it wouldn’t be my scene anyway, and I cant imagine his ownership has done anything other than make it more focused on the US market. I really don’t like hotels like that (Powerscourt is another example), new but built to look old, they’re soulless places.

In my opinion Trump isn’t just a regular greedy businessman, he’s a threat to democracy our way of life in the western world. He is one of the most malign influences in the world in my opinion.

And I’m sure whatever venues you are into probably wouldn’t be their “scene” either so it works both ways and that is fine. Jess puts her life online for money and attention. People then have opinions, so I don’t see the problem with me expressing mine - that I wouldn’t go near Doonbeg for a variety of reasons - I’m not expecting her to cancel her wedding or even to give two hoots, and that’s fair enough.

Very same people who would do a virtue-signalling post about “being grabbed by the cat” or BLM. His family , don jr, still have significant financial interests there.

I hope she has an amazing day, I'm sure she'll look absolutely stunning and more importantly that she allows herself to enjoy the day. In general,as an outsider, I think she comes across as someone who is very hard in herself and I think a detox from Insta would do her the world of good, only question is, has she got it in her to go unplugged for a while?

For all the giving out these people do about tattle, I think most of us would echo this sentiment! I too hope she enjoys every minute of today and it's not too hard on her without her dad to walk her down the aisle
