The gentleman in that couple is flying them to the Galway races in a helicopter and I'd say he's slapped the hotel price tag on the company slab. You sound very invested. How do you know she didn’t thank them in person? Just because she didn’t tag them on Instagram doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. And as the previous poster said - maybe they are the bigger fools for paying for her trip.

I don't get what this means. Like friends have paid for their tickets/transport/finery etc? Or a wealthy couple who like rugby and have money so are treating them as they want a young couple at their table? They ain't escorts?!! Surely some business interests and nothing more.
