My grandmother was a nurse from like in the 40s until about I think it was '77 or '78 when she retired. This was back when they wore the starchy white uniforms and little hat thing and the white shoes. No way she'd be able to do the shift work or even a shift. Hell, I know I couldn't.
Teacher. Doctor. Nurse. Firefighter. Police officer. A CNA working with Alzheimer’s patients. Jen couldn’t handle any of it. Standing in front of a mirror, twirling her stupid skirt is hard work 
Most of my friends are teachers, EAs, nurses, etc. I’m a medical admin and I could never do any of their jobs. Any time they go on strike im the first one out there honking my car horn in solidarity!
