My son in law and daughter are very into modern country music, and have introduced me to Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs etc (and I've listened to Carrie Underwood for years) and it's a very specific sort of music that Beyonce just didn't get at all. I used to love her music around the Sasha Fierce era but she needs to stay in her lane and stick to what she's good at - power house ballads and feisty pop tunes.

I get what you mean but Blue was attending the premiere of the film she has a voice acting part in, to make her miss that because of what her parents may or may not have done isn’t really fair imo
Woops, I didn’t realise that bit, but they could have sent her with someone else such as fellow crew members, aunt etc, rather than make her premiere a shady circus

I cannot believe the amount of tickets left unsold. And even on TikTok, her die-hard fans - insisting the show is sold out every night - are able to call Ticketmaster just to 'upgrade' their seating as they like.

Uhm... does that not insinuate that there are so very many seats remaining, if you can just call up and get a new seat whenever?

See, I would put Beyonce in exactly the same category as Rihanna and Lady Gaga. Huge in the early 2010s, now all still doing stuff in some form (movies, make up, music) - but having lost their grip as mega A list celebrities.
Not even close. Beyonce is still a megastar and can still sell out stadiums. Who knows, maybe Rihanna could too if she didn't stop making music but her shows were always pretty poor live

I agree. You only have to google her name and all the news report links are about Jay Z and the accusations and that he was there with her.

The concert's being slated, although a lot of that could be the venue's fault, rather than Beyonce's - https://radaronline.com/p/beyonce-fan-demands-refund-cowboy-carter-tour-worst-concert-experience/
I think it'll be interesting to see if these issues continue in other venues. The issue I have is that when something is fixed (like those awful pit views), or something is done well, the megafans are happy to go 'Beyonce personally did this for us'. But when something is objectively crap - like tickets dropping to $20 to fill seats, distorted sound, obstructed views on premium tickets - the same fans are going 'it's the venue/Ticketmaster/just bad luck'.

The (lack of) ticket sales really is interesting, though. I've seen the recession blamed, but Oasis sold out in seconds and Olivia Rodrigo/Taylor Swift's tour, too. Now there's a lot of heat on the SoFi stadium... but a setlist with most of her top hits missing, the weird inserting of Blue Ivy and Rumi, etc all makes me think this issue isn't going anyway.

If the celebrity female that witnessed Jay Z and Diddy rape a young woman in the filing was Beyonce would they not call her something different other than female celebrity B?

I don’t see her ever releasing the figures of how many ‘slashed price’ or free tickets were given out; what we do know is that thousands were available pre-concert for extremely reduced prices. That’s just Ticketmaster data. We’re in an era where concerts are expected, and do, sell out in minutes - I think it’s reasonable to ask why that didn’t happen here.

I think there’s two issues with pinning it on the album. Firstly country has done well here; I saw Garth Brooks in Dublin in Croke Park - that sold out five times, and that’s an 80,000 capacity stadium. Dolly, Shania, etc - all arena tours.

The second is that if it’s true, it shows Beyoncé isn’t a universally revered artist on MJ, Whitney etc level - but her popularity is indeed dependent on her latest record. I think she’s going to have to shake up the strategy somehow, either playing the popular hits, touring smaller/less or going back to the pop/dance that she does well with.
Where? Because I'm looking at Thursday's concert and I see 473 tickets available and the cheapest is £99. MJ is on a different planet, no one compares to him. Beyonce tours far more often and bigger venues than the likes of Whitney did

It's being blown out of proportion because she sold a couple of thousand short each night of 60,000 X 6. We'll see if they deem it a success by which venue she picks next time she's here but I'd bet she sticks to where she is

I have a lot of questions. But I'll start with, do we know who is (allegedly) Becky with the good hair?
Whoever it is, I hope she wasn't underage and it was consensual. 👀

I'm confused re: P Diddy. Is the woman pursuing a civil case against him too, and it's not one of the allegations he's waiting a criminal trial for?

I wonder if they’ll make Blue and Rumi into part of a girl band with them as the ‘stars’. Awful to be parading them around. They are kids and too young to understand the implications of fame at a young age when they should be at school and hanging out with their friends.
No different to the way Beyoncé was dragged up!

There were barely any free seats and the floor was packed. I’ve got photos from when I first sat down that make it look like it didn’t sell out because it was early 🙄

Agree there was no pay off in this case. The accuser has confirmed that she made mistakes in her claim on who was there at what time etc. Jay Z had filed an application for leave to to file a motion to dismiss, Jane doe's lawyers opposed this but the application was granted, the motion to dismiss was filed and the matter ultimately withdrawn shortly thereafter, his lawyers have stated publicly that no money changed hands. It is likely this was a money grab case and they realised that the chances of surviving the motion were slim. Lawyers want to be paid so will not continue with cases with a high chance of failure. One of the complaints was that Buzbee had not met and verified the claims of Jane Doe before the filing the case, they probably did not expect Jay Z to fight as hard as he did and this was probably not the case to move forward.

Who things blu will end up on the wrong path when she’s older cause I do.
I get where you’re coming from, they’ve let/made her grow up too fast, she dresses like a grown woman and they have her out performing instead of enjoying a childhood(much like Beyoncé’s childhood) but having seen her with Rumi I feel she could end up in the role of the sensible older sister/protector always looking out for the twins. Older siblings often end up cast in the role of another parent(I married one!).

Katy Perry is in the same boat, ticket wise.
